Chapter 6 of the Quran (18) who will say: Alas for Us

Alas for us. How great is our sadness that we neglected faith and repentance in our worldly life. This will be the saying and outcome of whoever on the earth knows about Muhammad, Quran, Islam and died while he is denying.

————————————————————————————-

Is death the end and sole outcome of man’s existence?

Were there resurrection, judgment, and either Eternal Paradize or Eternal hell?

In Islam, there were resurrection, judgment, and eternal reward in heaven or punishment in hell according to man’s belief and conducts.

The unbelievers believed that Resurrection after Death will never take place.

Ayah 6:31 says:

They indeed were losers who deny the encounter with Allah, through resurrection.

They indeed were losers who deny their meeting with Allah i.e. deny their resurrection after death.

Allah says: leave them until, when the Hour comes on them suddenly.

This means until when the Hour, that is the Resurrection, comes upon them all of a sudden.

They will cry:

  • Alas for us
  • Grief of ours
  • Sadly we were

And how sorry we were that we neglected it!

How great is our sadness that we neglected faith and repentance in our worldly life.

They will express the extreme suffering.

Now is the time that we neglected and deny it in our worldly life.

On their backs they shall be bearing their burdens, so that these come to them at the Resurrection in the vilest of forms and with the most putrid of smells, and they ride them.

Ah, evil is that, burden of theirs, which they bear!

In other words, they bear upon their back their burdens) their sins.

Ah, evil is that which they bear of sins!

It is worthy to remind the smart reader that this will be the outcome of whoever on the earth knows about Muhammad, Quran, Islam and keep denying and died while he denies.

The verse 6:31 in different translations

QARIB:

They were lost indeed, those who belied the meeting with Allah. when the hour overtakes them suddenly, they will say: ‘alas, for us, that we neglected it! ‘ on their backs they shall be bearing their sinful loads; how evil is what they sin!

SHAKIR:

They were losers indeed who reject the meeting of Allah; until when the hour comes upon them all of a sudden they shall say: o our grief for our neglecting it! and they shall bear their burdens on their backs; now surely evil is that which they bear.

PICKTHAL:

They indeed were losers who deny their meeting with Allah until, when the hour cometh on them suddenly, they cry: alas for us, that we neglected it! they bear upon their backs their burdens. ah, evil is that which they bear!

YUSUFALI:

Lost indeed were they who treat it as a falsehood that they must meet Allah,- until on a sudden the hour is on them, and they say: “ah! woe unto us that we took no thought of it”; for they bear their burdens on their backs, and evil indeed were the burdens that they bear?

Chapter 6 of the Quran (17) is death the end of man’s existence?

Is death the termination of man’s existence? Were there resurrection, judgment, and either eternal reward in heaven or punishment in hell? The unbelievers deny the Resurrection and the second life after death. What the Angels will tell them? What is their answer? And what Allah will say to them?

————————————————————————————-

Is death the termination and conclusion of man’s existence?  Were there resurrection, judgment, and either eternal reward in heaven or punishment in hell?

In Islam, yes there were resurrection, judgment, and eternal reward in heaven or punishment in hell according to man’s faith and deeds.

The Idolators thought that Resurrection after Death is impossible.  Allah tells us about those who denied the resurrection; they were like the disbelievers who came before them.

Ayah 6:29 says:

And the disbelievers of Mecca, who deny the Resurrection, say: There is no other life than our present life; we shall not be resurrected; there is naught save our life of the world, and we shall not be raised again after we die.

If you could see O Muhammad when they were made to stand , when they were presented, before their Lord, you would certainly see an awesome thing!

The angels will say, to them, in rebuke:

‘Is this, resurrection and reckoning, not the truth?’ Is not this torment and resurrection after death real?

They will say, ‘Yes indeed, by our Lord’, it is the truth as informed by the messengers!

Ayah 6:30

Then, Allah will say:

Then taste the chastisement because you disbelieved during life on earth.

Taste now the retribution for that you used to disbelieve in your resurrection after death.
