Chapter 6 of the Quran (86) the unbelievers want to be messengers

Why they said that? Because, as they thought: “we were wealthier than Muhammad and we are more senior age-wise than him” In other word, each one of the chief leaders and wealthy among the unbelievers of Mecca wanted to be a messenger of Allah

——————————————-

In the previous article, the chief leaders and wealthy among the people of any and evry Prophet sent by Allah were the top leading unbelievers and the great sinners men.

This constant historical law of mankind was also workable in respect to the Prophet Muhammad. The chief leaders and wealthy among the people of Mecca were the top unbelievers and the great sinners ones; they used to mock and participate in severe transgression and corruption. They vigorously deny the prophet Muhammad and did their best to impede the faith and the truth.

Ayah 6:124 says:

And when a sign of the truth of the Prophet Muhammad comes to the unbelievers of Mecca, they say: “We will not believe in Muhammad until we were given the like of what Allah’s messengers were given”

They were looking to be inspired like Muhammad.

“We will not believe in Muhammad until we were given a message and inspiration to us, like him”

Why they said that? Because, as they thought: “we were wealthier than Muhammad and we are more senior age-wise than him”

In other word, each one of the chief leaders and wealthy among the unbelievers of Mecca wanted to be a messenger of Allah

Allah, exalted be He, says:

Allah knows best where to place His Message

Allah knows the right place for His Message to be placed in, and He thus places it there.

These unbelievers of Mecca, however, were not worthy of it.

Humiliation from Allah and a terrible chastisement shall smite those who have sinned, by saying this, for their plotting.

Heavy punishment will smite the guilty for their denial of Allah’s messengers.
