Atheists in Quran (2) their knowledge = guess

The Atheists’ knowledge is but guess; and they follow their guess to feel secure.

—————————–

Allah who create the Atheists knows how they think.

In this article, Allah uncovers how the Atheists think and say.

The Quran gives the appraisal of the Atheists’ knowledge more than 1400 years ago.

The Quran says that the Atheists’ knowledge is but guess; and they follow their guess to feel secure

The meanings of the verses 45:23-24:

Have you seen the Atheist O Muhammad?

  • He is the one, who has taken as his god his own desire.
  • He is too proud of himself to worship his desire.
  • He worships a deity because of the urge of his ego; whenever his ego desires something, he obeys it.

Allah does not love the arrogant proud, that is why Allah has led him astray

Allah set a seal upon his hearing and his heart, so that he cannot hear guidance or understand it, and laid a covering, a darkness, over his sight, so that he cannot perceive guidance and does not see the Truth.

Now, who will guide him to the religion of Allah after Allah has sent him astray?

Who will guide him after Allah?

That is to say, after His leading him astray.

In other words, he will not find guidance.

Will you not O Atheists then remember?

—————————–

The Atheists’ false feeling of security:

The Atheists deny the Resurrection

They deny the Day of Judgment, the Afterlife, the Eternal Fire and Paradise.

They do that to feel secure and to continue following their desire and obeying their ego.

The Atheists say:

The only life is our life that we live in this world

We live, we die, and nothing but the passage of time destroys us.

Naught destroyed us save time factor

When they have no knowledge, proof or argument whatsoever of that which they say;

Allah, exalted be He, says:

“Of that saying, they have no knowledge; they are only making conjectures.”

It means that they do but guess

They only guess when they say this.

It follows that the Atheists’ knowledge is but guess; and they follow their guess to feel secure.

Nonetheless, the Atheists’ guess will not change the fact that there are Resurrection, Day of Judgment, Afterlife, Eternal Fire and Paradise.

The verses 45:23-24 of the Noble Quran in different translations:

QARIB:

23- Have you seen he who took his desire for a god? With knowledge, Allah has led him astray, setting a seal upon his hearing and heart, and has made a veil over his eyes, who then shall guide him after Allah? Will you not then remember!

24- They say: ‘there is nothing except this life, we die and we live, it is only time that destroys us. ‘Surely, of this they have no knowledge, they are just guessing.

SHAKIR:

23- Have you then considered him who takes his low desire for his god, and Allah has made him err having knowledge and has set a seal upon his ear and his heart and put a covering upon his eye. Who can then guide him after Allah? Will you not then be mindful?

24- And they say: there is nothing but our life in this world; we live and die and nothing destroys us but time, and they have no knowledge of that; they only conjecture

PICKTHAL:

23- Hast thou seen him who maketh his desire his god, and Allah sendeth him astray purposely, and sealeth up his hearing and his heart, and setteth on his sight a covering? Then who will lead him after Allah (hath condemned him)? Will ye not then heed?

24- And they say: there is naught but our life of the world; we die and we live, and naught destroyeth us save time; when they have no knowledge whatsoever of (all) that; they do but guess.

YUSUFALI:

23- Then seest thou such a one as takes as his god his own vain desire? Allah has, knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart (and understanding), and put a cover on his sight. Who, then, will guide him after Allah (has withdrawn guidance)? Will ye not then receive admonition?

24- And they say: “what is there but our life in this world? we shall die and we live, and nothing but time can destroy us.” but of that they have no knowledge: they merely conjecture:

Angels in Islam (15) the Arabs worshiped female Angel gods

– The Angels are honored Allah’ servants who have no sex, they do not marry; they are not like us.

– Shall man have whatever he wishes for like worshipping the Angels?

– Shall man have the right to say that the Angels are Allah’s daughters and gives them feminine names although such man dishonors the girls?

– However, the Angels’ intercession in the Afterlife cannot avail in any way except after Allah gives them the permission for it.

—————————————————

Throughout the history, man was confused about the nature of the Angels.

The scholars and the philosophers have four different belief concerning the nature of Angels and who they are:

  1. The first party believes that they are the sons of God
  2. The second party believes that they are the daughters of God
  3. The third party believes that they are God
  4. The fourth party believes that they are partners of God

The Quran denies and disproves all of the above belief.

In the article Angels in Islam (10) the Quran denies the Bible’s claim that the Angels are the sons of God who married the daughters of the People!(Genesis 6:2)

In the article Angels in Islam (11) the Quran says that neither Jesus nor the Angels who are close and favored, to Allah, would never disdain, scorn or reject haughtily, to be a slave of Allah.

In the article Angels in Islam (13) the Quran condemns the pre-Islamic belief of the daughters are to be for Allah, while the sons are to be for Arabs.

In the article Angels in Islam (14) the Quran declares that Satan was the source of the belief that the Angels are the daughters of Allah

—————————————————

The Arabs before Islam believed that Allah is the Supreme Allah and the gate to Him is his daughters, the Angels. They had to worship His daughters to satisfy him; they gave the Angels feminine names as:

  • al-Lat,
  • al-Uzza,
  • Manat, the third

According to the previous article, such belief and names are but Satanic invented stuffs.

The verses 53:19-31 say:

– Have you considered al-Lat and al-Uzza, and Manat, the third?

– Do these idols have the power over anything, such that you worship them besides Allah Who has the power over all that has been mentioned?’

– And because of their assertion also that the angels were Allah’s daughters, despite their aversion to daughters (they used to favor sons and dishonor girls) the Quran continues:

Are you to have males, and Allah females?

That, then, would indeed be an unfair division! Unjust division!

– These, the mentioned deities, are nothing but invented names which you and your fathers have named idols that you worship.

Allah has not revealed any warrant, any proof or evidence, for the worship of them.

– They follow nothing but conjecture, in their worship of them, and that which ignoble souls desire, of that which Satan adorned for them, that they may intercede for them before Allah, exalted be He, even though guidance has already come to them from their Lord, by the tongue of the Prophet Muhammad, with definitive proof; yet they do not desist from their ways.

– Or shall man, that is, shall every human being among them, have whatever he wishes for? Such as [their wish] that the idols intercede for them. No! It is not so.

– Yet to Allah belong the Afterlife and the former life, and so nothing comes to pass in them except what He, exalted, wills.

– And how many an angel, there is in the heavens, and how honored they are in Allah’s sight but, whose intercession cannot avail in any way except after Allah gives permission, to them for this intercession, for whomever He wills, of His servants, and, with whom, He is satisfied.

– Truly those who do not believe in the Afterlife give the angels the names of females, for they say: ‘They are Allah’s daughters’

– But they do not have any knowledge thereof, of this claim. They follow, in this respect, nothing but conjecture, which they have conjured up, and indeed conjecture can never substitute for the truth.

– So shun him who turns away from Our Remembrance that is, from the Quran, and desires nothing but the life of this world

Turn your face, O Muhammad from him who turns away from our remembrance, from our divine Oneness and Scripture and desires but that which is in the life of the world ignoring the Afterlife.

The verses 53:19-31 (YUSUFALI translation):

19-20) have ye seen allat and al’uzza, and another, the third (goddess), manat?

21-22) What! For you the male sex, and for him (Allah), the female? Behold, such would be indeed a division most unfair!

23) These are nothing but names which ye have devised,- ye and your fathers,- for which Allah has sent down no authority (whatever). They follow nothing but conjecture and what their own souls desire!- even though there has already come to them guidance from their lord!

24-25) Nay, shall man have (just) anything he hankers after? But it is to Allah that the end and the beginning (of all things) belong

26) How many-so-ever be the angels in the heavens, their intercession will avail nothing except after Allah has given leave for whom he pleases and that he is acceptable to him.

27-28) those who believe not in the hereafter, name the angels with female names. But they have no knowledge therein. They follow nothing but conjecture; and conjecture avails nothing against truth.

29-30) therefore shun those who turn away from our message and desire nothing but the life of this world. That is as far as knowledge will reach them. Verily thy lord knoweth best those who stray from his path, and he knoweth best those who receive guidance.

31) Yea, to Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: so that he rewards those who do evil, according to their deeds, and he rewards those who do good, with what is best.

Allah asks you (24) who are worthier to be followed the guider to the truth or the conjecture?

Allah states that most of people follow nothing but conjecture

Which is more deserving of being followed the truth or the conjecture?

In the Noble Quran, Allah is asking mankind some important questions.

It seems compulsory for the serious one who is looking for the truth to have a look at those questions and if possible to answer them.

Allah’ questions are many. In this series, these questions are chosen randomly.

————————————————————–

In verses 10:35-36, Allah is asking mankind these three questions:

1) Is there of those whom you associate with God one that guides to the truth?

2) Is One Who guides to the truth, and this is God, more deserving of being followed, or one who does not guide unless he is guided? And

3) What is wrong with you, how do you judge?

Then Allah states that most of them follow nothing but conjecture; truly conjecture avails nothing against truth, when what is sought is knowledge.

Surely Allah is Knower of what they do, and will requite them for it.

Verses 10:35-36 present the questions of this article and give a statement about what the disbelievers follow

The meanings of the verses 10:35-36

Verse 10:35 says:

Say to them O Muhammad:

Is there of your partners whom you ascribe unto Allah one that leads to the Truth and guidance?

Is there of those whom you associate, with God, one that guides to the truth?

If they answer, fine, if not, Say:

Allah leads to the Truth and guidance.

Is He Who leads to the Truth and guidance more deserving that He should be followed) worshipped and obeyed,

Or he who finds not the way, he who does not guide to the Truth or guidance unless he himself be guided, carried and taken wherever one wants.

What ail you? What is wrong with you? How you judge?

This corrupt judgment, one where what does not deserve to be followed is followed?

Evil is that which you judge for yourselves?

Verse 10:36 says:

Most of them follow worship naught but conjecture i.e. except through conjecture, since they imitate their fathers therein.

Truly conjecture avails nothing against truth, when what is sought is knowledge.

Assuredly their worship through conjecture can by no means take the place of truth; conjecture can by no means dispense them from Allah’s chastisement.

Lo! Allah is Aware of what they do, He is Knower of what they worship and He will requite them for it.

————————————————————–

Verses 10:35-36 in different translations:

QARIB:

35) Say: ‘do any of your partners guide you to the truth? ‘Say: ‘Allah, he guides to the truth. Who then is worthier to be followed he who guides to the truth or he who cannot guide unless he (himself) is guided? What is the matter with you, how then can you judge?

36) Most of them follow nothing except conjecture. But conjecture does not help against the truth. Allah knows the things they do.

SHAKIR:

35) Say: is there any of your associates who guides to the truth? Say: Allah guides to the truth. Is he then who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed, or he who himself does not go aright unless he is guided? What then is the matter with you; how do you judge?

36) And most of them do not follow (anything) but conjecture; surely conjecture will not avail aught against the truth; surely Allah is cognizant of what they do

PICKTHAL:

35) Say: is there of your partners (whom ye ascribe unto Allah) one that leadeth to the truth? Say: Allah leadeth to the truth. is he who leadeth to the truth more deserving that he should be followed, or he who findeth not the way unless he (himself) be guided. What aileth you? How judge ye?

36) Most of them follow not but conjecture. Assuredly conjecture can by no means take the place of truth. lo! Allah is aware of what they do.

YUSUFALI:

35) say: “of your ‘partners’ is there any that can give any guidance towards truth?” say: “it is Allah who gives guidance towards truth, is then he who gives guidance to truth more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? What then is the matter with you? How judge ye?”

36) But most of them follow nothing but fancy: truly fancy can be of no avail against truth. Verily Allah is well aware of all that they do.

Allah asks you (20) have you any knowledge that God is satisfied with…?

If Allah had willed, He could have guided all of you to His religion, but He is testing you

Allah’ Chastisement will never be withdrawn from guilty folk in the next life

Allah is the Lord of all-embracing mercy towards the pious and sinner alike

—————————————————

In verse 39:9, Allah is asking mankind this question:

Have you any clarification regarding what you ascribed unto Him as partners, and what you describe as unlawful; Have you any knowledge, that God is satisfied with this, such that you can adduce for us?

You follow only supposition, you do but guess; you just lie.

Verses 6:147-149 give the question of this article and talk about it

The meanings of the verses 6:147-149

Verse 6:147 says:

So if they deny you, with regard to what you have brought,

If they give the lie to you O Muhammad regarding the prohibitions that Allah described to you,

Say: Your Lord is a Lord of all-embracing mercy towards the pious and sinner alike, in that He defers torment to the next life,

And His wrath, His torment will never be withdrawn from guilty folk, the idolaters.

And His might, His chastisement, when it comes, will never be driven back from the sinning folk’.

Verse 6:148 says:

The idolaters will say, ‘Had Allah willed, we had not ascribed unto Him partners; we would not have been idolaters, neither had our fathers nor had we forbidden aught of crops and cattle, but this has been commanded and forbidden for us.

In other words, our idolatry and our forbidding [of things] are by His will, and so He must be satisfied with it.

God, exalted be He, says: So, in the same way that they are liars, those who were before them gave the lie, to their prophets, until they tasted Our might, Our chastisement.

Say O Muhammad: Have you any clarification regarding what you describe as unlawful; Have you any knowledge, that God is satisfied with this, such that you can adduce for us?, that is, you have no such knowledge.

You follow only supposition, in this matter, merely guessing’, telling lies therein

Lo! You follow naught but an opinion, your prohibition of crops and cattle is nothing but surmise. (Lo! You do but guess) you just lie.

Verse 6:149 says:

Say to them, O Muhammad, if you do not have any definitive argument for your claim, then For Allah’s is the final, the conclusive and the perfect argument, the most firm argument.  Had He willed He could indeed have guided all of you to His religion

—————————————————

Verses 6:147-149 in different translations:

QARIB:

147) If they belie you, say: ‘your Lord is the owner of all encompassing mercy, but his might cannot be withheld from the nation, the evildoers. ‘

148) The idolaters will say: ‘had Allah willed, neither we nor our fathers would have associated (idols), nor would we have forbidden anything. as such, those who have gone before them belied until they tasted our might. Say: ‘have you any knowledge you can bring forth to us? You follow nothing but guessing and you are only speakers of conjecture. ‘

149) Say: ‘Allah alone has the conclusive proof. had he willed, he would have guided you all. ‘

SHAKIR:

147) But if they give you the lie, then say: your lord is the lord of all-encompassing mercy; and his punishment cannot be averted from the guilty people

148) Those who are polytheists will say: if Allah had pleased we would not have associated (aught with him) nor our fathers, nor would we have forbidden (to ourselves) anything; even so did those before them reject until they tasted our punishment. Say: have you any knowledge with you so you should bring it forth to us? You only follow a conjecture and you only tell lies

149) Say: then Allah’s is the conclusive argument; so if he please, he would certainly guide you all

PICKTHAL:

147) So if they give the lie to thee (Muhammad), say: your lord is a lord of all-embracing mercy, and his wrath will never be withdrawn from guilty folk.

148) They who are idolaters will say: had Allah willed, we had not ascribed (unto him) partners neither had our fathers, nor had we forbidden aught. thus did those who were before them give the lie (to Allah’s messengers) till they tasted of the fear of us. Say: have ye any knowledge that ye can adduce for us? Lo! Ye follow naught but an opinion, lo! Ye do but guess.

149) Say – for Allah’s is the final argument – had he willed he could indeed have guided all of you.

YUSUFALI:

147) If they accuse thee of falsehood, say: “your lord is full of mercy all-embracing; but from people in guilt never will his wrath be turned back.

148) Those who give partners (to Allah) will say: “if Allah had wished, we should not have given partners to him nor would our fathers; nor should we have had any taboos.” so did their ancestors argue falsely, until they tasted of our wrath. Say: “have ye any (certain) knowledge? If so, produce it before us. Ye follow nothing but conjecture: ye do nothing but lie.”

149) Say: “with Allah is the argument that reaches home: if it had been his will, he could indeed have guided you all.”
