Allah does not love (20) those who desire to be Haughty in the Earth

The Story of Qaroun, Moses’ cousin -d

What those who had longed to be in his place said after Allah’s torment to Qaroun?

The sequel, Paradise, is for those who ward off evil

——————————————————

Verses 28:76-83 of the Noble Quran are talking about “Qaroun”, Moses’ cousin, who was very rich man. He was corrupter in the earth in the earth through his disdain, haughtiness and great wealth.

Verses 28:82-83 are talking about what those who had longed to be in his place said after Allah’s torment to Qaroun.  The sequel, Paradise, is for those who ward off evil, those who ward off disbelief, those who fear, God’s punishment, by performing deeds of obedience.

——————————————————

The story of Qaroun, Moses’ cousin is mentioned in the previous articles when talking about the verses  28:76-81 of the Noble Quran.

Furthermore, the verse 28:82-83 continue narrating this story.

Verse 28:82 says:

And those who had longed to be in his place, who had coveted his place, his status, standing and wealth the day before, were crying to one another were saying,

it is not as Qaroun said, i.e. that his wealth was his own doing, but rather Allah enlarges the provision for whom He will of His slaves and in the case of Qaroun such wealth was a lure to perdition, and straitened it, for whom He will out of care for the person.

‘Alas! God expands provision for whomever He will of His servants and straitens it, He restricts it for whomever He will

If Allah had not been gracious unto us, and withheld from us what He gave him,

He would have caused it to swallow us also as it swallowed Qaroun.

‘Alas! The disbelievers never prosper; they will never be safe from Allah’s torment.

Lo! Indeed those who are ungrateful, for God’s grace, such as Qaroun, never prosper.

Verse 28:83 says

As for that Abode of the Hereafter, namely, Paradise, which Allah shall grant to those who do not desire to be haughty in the earth, through insolence, or to cause corruption, by committing acts of disobedience.

Allah assigns Paradise unto those who do not seek oppression and haughtiness in the earth through their wealth,

And the, praiseworthy, the sequel, Paradise, is for those who ward off evil, those who ward off disbelief, idolatry, haughtiness and corruption in the earth.

And it will be for those who fear, God’s punishment, by performing deeds of obedience.

Verses 28:82-83 in different translations

QARIB:

82) And in the morning those who had wished to be in his place the previous evening said: ‘indeed, Allah outspreads to whom he will among his worshipers, and he restrains. had he not shown us favor, he could have caused the earth to swallow us. indeed, the unbelievers shall never prosper. ‘

83) That is the last abode, we shall assign it to those who desire neither exorbitance in the earth, nor corruption. the outcome is for the cautious.

SHAKIR:

82) And those who yearned for his place only the day before began to say: ah! (know) that Allah amplifies and straitens the means of subsistence for whom he pleases of his servants; had not Allah been gracious to us, he would most surely have abased us; ah! (know) that the ungrateful are never successful

83) (As for) that future abode, we assign it to those who have no desire to exalt themselves in the earth nor to make mischief and the good end is for those who guard (against evil)

PICKTHAL:

82) And morning found those who had coveted his place but yesterday crying: ah, welladay! Allah enlargeth the provision for whom he will of his slaves and straiteneth it (for whom he will). if Allah had not been gracious unto us he would have caused it to swallow us (also). ah, welladay! the disbelievers never prosper.

83) As for that abode of the hereafter we assign it unto those who seek not oppression in the earth, nor yet corruption. the sequel is for those who ward off (evil).

YUSUFALI:

82) And those who had envied his position the day before began to say on the morrow: “ah! it is indeed Allah who enlarges the provision or restricts it, to any of his servants he pleases! had it not been that Allah was gracious to us, he could have caused the earth to swallow us up! ah! those who reject Allah will assuredly never prosper.”

83) That home of the hereafter we shall give to those who intend not high-handedness or mischief on earth: and the end is (best) for the righteous.

This is Allah (6) how Allah introduces Himself

Does Allah Sleep? No! Never Ever

Allah did not sleep, does not sleep, shall not sleep, will not sleep. Never Ever

What is the beginning of Allah?

Has Allah a beginning? He has neither beginning nor end.

Does Slumber seize Allah?

Allah is the Everlasting and the Eternal Sustainer, Slumber does not seize Him.

Do the Angels or anyone save Allah know when the Day of Judgment is?

The angels and/or anyone save Allah do not know when will be the Day of Judgment.

————————

Many people do not know Allah.

This series is an attempt to help them in order to know and acknowledge their Almighty Creator.

In verse 2:255 of the Noble Quran, Allah made it simple for man to know Him.

He introduces himself and says:

Allah is the One, the Living, the Everlasting, and the Eternal Sustainer, Who has no beginning.

There is no God save Him; there is none worthy of being worshipped in all existence, except Him.

Slumber does not seize Him, neither sleep.  His throne subsumes the heavens and the earth.

The meaning of verse 2:255 of the Noble Quran

In this verse, Allah made it simple for man to know Him. He introduces himself and says:

Allah, There is no God save Him, there is none worthy of being worshipped in all existence, except Him, the Living, the Everlasting, the Eternal Sustainer, Who dies not, the Self-existent Who has no beginning; the One constantly engaged in the management of His creation.  Slumber does not seize Him, neither sleep.

to Him belongs all that is in the heavens of angels and all that is in the earth of created beings, as possessions, creatures and servants; Who is he that intercedes with Him from amongst the dwellers of the heavens and the earth on the Day of Judgment save by His leave? Except by His command?  Who is there, that is to say, none is there, that shall intercede with Him save by His leave?, in this for him. He knows what lies before them, that is, creation, and what is after them, of the affairs of this world and the Hereafter; and they encompass nothing of His knowledge, that is, they know nothing of what He knows, save such as He wills, to inform of it by way of His messengers. The angels know nothing of the Hereafter or of the life of this world save that which Allah has taught them.

His throne subsumes the heavens and the earth, it is said that His knowledge encompasses them both; it is also said that the preserving of the heavens and the earth, wearies Him not, does not burden Him; He is the Sublime, above His creation by virtue of His subjugation of them, He is the Tremendous, the Great.

Verse 2:255 in different English translations:

QARIB:

Allah, there is no god except he, the living, the everlasting. Neither dozing, nor sleep overtakes him. to him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. Who is he that shall intercede with him except by his permission! he knows what will be before their hands and what was behind them, and they do not comprehend anything of his knowledge except what he willed. His seat embraces the heavens and the earth, and the preserving of them does not weary him. he is the high, the great.

SHAKIR:

Allah is he besides whom there is no god, the everliving, the self-subsisting by whom all subsist; slumber does not overtake him nor sleep; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is his; who is he that can intercede with him but by his permission? he knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot comprehend anything out of his knowledge except what he pleases, his knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires him not, and he is the most high, the great

PICKTHAL:

Allah! There is no deity save him, the alive, the eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh him. Unto him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. who is he that intercedeth with him save by his leave? he knoweth that which is in front of them and that which is behind them, while they encompass nothing of his knowledge save what he will. his throne includeth the heavens and the earth, and he is never weary of preserving them. he is the sublime, the tremendous.

YUSUFALI:

Allah! There is no god but he,-the living, the self-subsisting, eternal. No slumber can seize him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in his presence except as he permitteth? he knoweth what (appeareth to his creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of his knowledge except as he willeth. His throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and he feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for he is the most high, the supreme (in glory).

Allah asks you (10) which is harder in Creation, the man or the heaven?

1)    Allah has set firm the Mountains on the face of the Earth

2)    The Quran says: Allah has Created the Earth like an Egg-shaped ball

Allah is asking mankind this question: Which is harder in Creation, you or the heaven?  Which is more difficult to create, you the little man or this unlimited heaven?

Allah made the heaven rise high; He made its vertical extension high even and flawless.  And Allah made the earth like an Egg-shaped ball; this is a scientific fact that has been discovered after the revelation of the Quran by about 1400 years!

———————–

In the Noble Quran, Allah is asking mankind some important questions.

It seems compulsory for the serious one who is looking for the truth to have a look at those questions and if possible to answer them.

Allah’ questions are many. In this series, these questions are chosen randomly.

The question in this article is to all the disbelievers:

Which is harder in Creation, you or the heaven?

Which is more difficult to create, you the little man or this unlimited heaven?

Allah made the heaven rise high; He made its vertical extension high even and flawless.   And He made the earth like an Egg-shaped ball; this is a scientific fact that has been discovered after the revelation of the Quran by about 1400 years!

Verses 79:27- 32 give the question of this article and talk about it

The meanings of Verses 79:27- 32

Verse 79:27 says:

Are you, the deniers of the Resurrection, harder or difficult to create (to resurrect) or the heaven which Allah has made, (built, constructed)?

Verse 79:28 says:

He made it (the heaven) rise high

He made its vertical extension high even and flawless

Verse 79:29 says:

And He made dark the night thereof, and He brought forth the morn thereof) and He made its day and sun clear.

Verse 79:30 says:

And He spread out the earth: even then He spread it on the water; He made it flat,

However, the Arabic word used in the verse to describe the shape of the earth is “Da-ha-ha”, it means He made the earth like an Egg-shaped ball.  This indicates that the Quran gave the exact shape of the earth, the egg-like; this scientific fact was discovered after the revelation of the Quran by about 1400 years!

Verse 79:31 says:

He has brought forth from the earth its waters, by making its springs gush forth, as well as the water buried deep in the belly of the earth and its pastures thereof, what cattle graze, of trees and herbage, and what humans consume of foods and fruits

Verse 79:32 says:

And has set firm the mountains (He made fast the hills), on the face of the earth so that it stays still.  This verse describes in one word the role played by the mountains that makes the Earth still.  This scientific meaning was only discovered after the revelation of the Quran by about1400 years!
