This is Allah (20) who is the loser, Allah or the unbelievers?

It is Allah who made mankind one succeeding the other in the earth

Whoever disbelieves in Allah, his disbelief will be to his own detriment

Has anyone besides Allah created anything in the Earth?

Does any of your gods share Allah in His Kingdom?

————————————————————————

Many people do not know Allah. This series is an attempt to help them in order to know and acknowledge their Creator.

The verses 35:39-40 of the Noble Quran give two facts; they are:

1) It is Allah Who made mankind one succeeding the other in the earth and

2) Whoever disbelieves in Allah, his disbelief will be to his own detriment;

And also the verses give three questions; they are:

1) Who is losing, the Disbelievers or Allah?

2) Did anyone besides Allah create anything on the Earth? And

3) Does any of your gods share Allah in His Kingdom?

————————————————————————

The meaning of verse 35:39:

It is Allah Who made you successors in the earth in other words, one succeeding the other.

So whoever disbelieves, of you, his disbelief will be to his own detriment, that is, the evil consequences of his disbelief will be their responsibility.

And their disbelief does not increase the disbelievers with their Lord [in anything] except disfavor, wrath.

And their disbelief does not increase the disbelievers [in anything] except loss, of the reward of the Hereafter.

In other words, the verse says that it is He, Allah, Who has made you O mankind (regents in the earth) dwellers in the earth after the destruction of past nations; so he who disbelieves in Allah, his disbelief will be on his own head, on his own responsibility, the punishment of his disbelief is against his own soul.

Their disbelief increases for the disbelievers in Muhammad and in the Quran, in their Lord’s sight in the Hereafter, naught save abhorrence nothing but detestation.

Their disbelief in the life of this world increases for the disbelievers naught save loss in the Hereafter.

The meaning of verse 35:40:

Say O Muhammad, to the disbelievers, to the idolaters: Have ye seen your partner-gods, your deities to whom you pray;  whom you worship beside Allah? Show me what they created of the earth! Or have they any portion) with Allah (in the heavens) in the creation of the heavens? (Or have We given them) i.e. the disbelievers of Mecca (a Scripture so that they act on clear proof there from) that they will not be punished? (Nay, the evil-doers promise) what the idolaters say in the life of this world to (one another) i.e. the leaders to those who followed them (only to deceive) only vanity in the Hereafter.

In other words, the verse asks: ‘Have you considered your associates on whom you call, [those whom] you worship, besides Allah?, and they are the idols whom you asserted to be partners of Allah, exalted be He. Show me, apprise me of, what [part] of the earth they have created. Or do they have some partnership, some share alongside Allah, in, the creation of, the heavens?’ Or have We given them a scripture, so that they are [acting] upon a clear proof, a definitive argument, there from?, to the effect that they have some partnership with Me? Nothing of the sort! Nay, but the evildoers, the disbelievers, promise one another nothing but delusion, falsehood, when they say that the idols will intercede for them.

Verses 35:36-38 in different English translations of the meanings of Arabic Quran:

QARIB:

39) It is he who made you caliphs in the earth. he who disbelieves, his disbelief shall be charged against him. the unbelievers disbelief does nothing for them, except, increase them in hate with Allah their disbelief increases the unbelievers only in loss.

40) Say: ‘have you considered your associates who you call upon, other than Allah? show me what they have created in the earth! or, have they a partnership in the heavens? ‘ or, have we given them a book so that they have proof of it? no, the harm doers promise each other nothing else but delusion.

SHAKIR:

39) He it is who made you rulers in the land; therefore whoever disbelieves, his unbelief is against himself; and their unbelief does not increase the disbelievers with their lord in anything except hatred; and their unbelief does not increase the disbelievers m anything except loss

40) Say: have you considered your associates which you call upon besides Allah? show me what part of the earth they have created, or have they any share in the heavens; or, have we given them a book so that they follow a clear argument thereof? nay, the unjust do not hold out promises one to another but only to deceive

PICKTHAL:

39) He it is who hath made you regents in the earth; so he who disbelieveth, his disbelief be on his own head. their disbelief increaseth for the disbelievers, in their lord’s sight, naught save abhorrence. their disbelief increaseth for the disbelievers naught save loss.

40) Say: have ye seen your partner-gods to whom ye pray beside Allah? show me what they created of the earth! or have they any portion in the heavens? or have we given them a scripture so they act on clear proof therefrom? Nay, the evil-doers promise one another only to deceive.

YUSUFALI:

39) He it is that has made you inheritors in the earth: if, then, any do reject (Allah), their rejection (works) against themselves: their rejection but adds to the odium for the unbelievers in the sight of their lord: their rejection but adds to (their own) undoing.

40) Say: “have ye seen (these) ‘partners’ of yours whom ye call upon besides Allah? show me what it is they have created in the (wide) earth. or have they a share in the heavens? or have we given them a book from which they (can derive) clear (evidence)?- nay, the wrong-doers promise each other nothing but delusions.

This is Allah (16) It is the Ignorant who do not fear Allah

1) Allah is Almighty in His dominion

2) How many Messengers which Allah has sent were denied?

3) Allah is the Forgiving; He forgives whoever believes in Him

4) Only those who have Knowledge fear Allah

5) Where are in the History the scrolls of Abraham?

6) How intense was Allah’s abhorrence against the ancient unbelievers

Many people do not know Allah. This series is an attempt to help them in order to know and acknowledge their Creator.

Verses 35:25-28 of the Noble Quran says that:

1) Allah is Almighty in His dominion,

2) if the disbelievers deny you O Muhammad; how many Messengers which Allah has sent were denied?,

3) Only those who have knowledge fear Allah and the ignorant do not fear Him and

4) Allah is the Forgiving; He forgives whoever believes in Him.

—————————————————————————–

The meaning of verse 35:25:

And if the disbelievers deny you O Muhammad: those before them also denied; those before your own folk, have also denied their messengers.

Their messengers came unto them with clear proofs of Allah’s Sovereignty; they came to them with commands, prohibitions and signs, and with the Scriptures and with the events of the Scriptures of the people of old ,

Their messengers were giving light and expositing the lawful and the unlawful.

In other words, their messengers brought them manifest signs, miracles, and with scriptures, such as the scrolls of Abraham, and with the illuminating Book, namely, the Genuine Torah and the Genuine Gospel,

So O Muhammad endure patiently as the messengers before you have endured.

The meaning of verse 35:26:

Then Allah seized those who disbelieved,

Allah punished those who disbelieved in the Scriptures and messengers,

And how intense was Allah’s abhorrence!

And how intense was Allah’s rebuttal against them by way of punishment and destruction, in other words,

It was the appropriate abhorrence and rebuttal (Read the history of Pharaoh for example)  .

Then Allah said:

See, O Muhammad, how I turned against them with chastisement when they rejected faith.

The meaning of verse 35:27:

Have you not seen, have you not realized, that Allah sends down water from the heaven, wherewith Allah brings forth fruits of diverse hues, such as green, red, and yellow [fruits] and so on?

And in the mountains are streaks which is a mountain trail or the like white and red, and yellow, of diverse hues, some intense and some pale, and [others] pitch-black?

The meaning of verse 35:28:

And of humans, cattle, and other creatures, there are diverse hues likewise, like the diversity of the [hues of] fruits and mountains. Of all, there are also different colors. Indeed only those of Allah’s servants who have knowledge fear Him, in contrast to the ignorant, such as the disbelievers of Mecca.

In other words, the erudite among His bondsmen fear Allah alone

He says: from among all His servants, it is the erudite who fears Allah.

Truly Allah is Mighty, in His kingdom, in His dominion.

Allah is the Forgiving, of the sins of His faithful servants.

He forgives whoever believes in Him.

Verses 35:25-28 in different English translations:

QARIB:

25) if they belie you, those before them also belied. their messengers came to them with clear signs; the psalms, and the illuminating book.

26) then i seized those who disbelieved, and how was my rejection!

27) did you not see how Allah sends down water from the sky and with it brings forth different colored fruits? in the mountains there are paths of various colors, of white and red, and jet-black.

28) people too, and beasts and cattle have their different colors. but it is only those amongst his worshippers that fear Allah who have knowledge. indeed, Allah is the almighty and the forgiving.

SHAKIR:

25) and if they call you a liar, so did those before them indeed call (their messengers) liars; their messengers had come to them with clear arguments, and with scriptures, and with the illuminating book

26) then did i punish those who disbelieved, so how was the manifestation of my disapproval?

27) do you not see that Allah sends down water from the cloud, then we bring forth therewith fruits of various colors; and in the mountains are streaks, white and red, of various hues and (others) intensely black?

28) and of men and beasts and cattle are various species of it likewise; those of his servants only who are possessed of knowledge fear Allah; surely Allah is mighty, forgiving

PICKTHAL:

25) and if they deny thee, those before them also denied. their messengers came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah’s sovereignty), and with the psalms and the scripture giving light.

26) then seized i those who disbelieved, and how intense was my abhorrence!

27) hast thou not seen that Allah causeth water to fall from the sky, and we produce therewith fruit of divers hues; and among the hills are streaks white and red, of divers hues, and (others) raven-black;

28) and of men and beasts and cattle, in like manner, divers hues? the erudite among his bondmen fear Allah alone. lo! Allah is mighty, forgiving.

YUSUFALI:

25) and if they reject thee, so did their predecessors, to whom came their messengers with clear signs, books of dark prophecies, and the book of enlightenment.

26) in the end did i punish those who rejected faith: and how (terrible) was my rejection (of them)!

27) seest thou not that Allah sends down rain from the sky? with it we then bring out produce of various colours. and in the mountains are tracts white and red, of various shades of colour, and black intense in hue.

28) and so amongst men and crawling creatures and cattle, are they of various colours. those truly fear Allah, among his servants, who have knowledge: for Allah is exalted in might, oft-forgiving.
