In Bible vs. Quran, Jesus denied that He is God (11) His prayer

In the Bible, Jesus has prayed to God all night.

In the Quran, Jesus said: Allah has charged me with prayer and charity so long as I remain alive.

On the other hand, the Christians do not know the difference between prayer and supplication.

——————————————

The verse Luke 6:12 says: “And it came to pass in those days that He went out onto a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.” (21st Century King James Version).

Accordingly, this article discusses three points:

(1) Why Jesus (peace be upon Him) has prayed to God?

(2) The Christians do not know the difference between prayer and supplication

(3) How Jesus has prayed to God?

Let us begin with (2) and (3) then you will find the answer of (1)

The Christians do not know the difference between prayer and supplication.

If you ask, call, request, cry, plead or talk to God, it is but supplication not prayer.

In prayer to God, it is required to stand up and to kneel down (go down on your knees) and to rise up again. During these repeated movements, the one who prays has to read some of the Word of God and to glorify and praise God and Supplicate.

Although both the prayer and supplication are two kinds of worshipping God; however, prayer is superior to supplication because prayer includes supplication in it and not the vice versa.

Nevertheless, Christians think that supplication is prayer!

Attempting to make the difference between prayer and supplication clear, let us see how Jesus has prayed.

The Bible’s writers do not give us the details of how Jesus has prayed; however, you can hardly find few scattered words here and there about His prayer.

Jesus used to kneel down and to rise up (and so do the Muslims in their prayers)

Luke 22:41 says: “and (Jesus) kneeled down and prayed”

Luke 22:45 says: “And when He (Jesus) rose up from prayer”

One may ask: Would God pray to God? or would God pray to Himself?

The smart reader knows the answer and also the writers of Worldwide English (New Testament) which say: “About that time Jesus went out of the city on the hill to talk with God. He talked with God all night.”

Here, the editors of Worldwide English version do not say pray to God and replace it by talk and talked with God to avoid saying pray to God; to avoid answering the question: would God pray to God?  In addition, the editors of Worldwide English version do not know the difference between prayer and supplication?

(1) Why Jesus (peace be upon Him) has prayed to God?

You will not find the answer in the Bible but you can find it in the Quran in the verse 19:31. In this verse, Allah has charged Jesus to pray and Jesus obeyed and prayed.

N.B. Allah commanded all Prophets from Noah to John the Baptist to pray.

Allah does not love (3) those who reject faith

Day of Judgment mankind shall be sundered and they will be split

The Right and the Accepted Religion

The outcome of Mankind, a party in Paradise and a party in Hell

Whoever disbelieves, the consequence of his disbelief shall be upon him

—————————————————

On the Day of Judgment, Mankind will be sundered and split into two groups; a party of them in Paradise and the other party in Hell.  The wise should follow the Right, the Straight and the Accepted Religion.  Whoever disbelieves, the consequence of his disbelief shall be upon him.   Indeed, Allah does not love those who reject faith; and He will punish them severely.

—————————————————

The meanings of verses 30:43-45 of the Noble Quran:

Verse 30:43 says that:

So set your purpose,

So set your rationale,

So set your intention,

Set your own self and works,

Resolutely for the right religion

For the upright religion, the religion of Islam,

Make your religion and works sincere to Allah, and follow the true, straight religion

Before there comes the inevitable day from God, namely, the Day of Resurrection which is the Day of Judgment

On that day, Mankind shall be sundered; they will be split into separate groups after the Reckoning, destined, a party of them for eternal Paradise and a party in the eternal Fire and Hell.

Verse 30:44 says that:

Whoever disbelieves, the consequence of his disbelief shall be upon him, everyone is responsible for his/her choice.

That is, the evil consequences of his disbelief, which will be the eternal the Fire, i.e., the punishment of his disbelief are to dwell in the Fire forever.

And those who act righteously, they will be paving the way for the salvation of their own souls, preparing their places in the eternal Paradise,

Verse 30:45 says that:

That Allah may reward out of His bounty those who believe in Muhammad and in the Quran and do good works and perform acts of obedience between themselves and their Lord.

Indeed, Allah does not love the disbelievers, those who reject faith; He does not accept their religion.

In other words, He will punish them severely.

Verses 30:43-45 in different translations

QARIB:

43) Therefore in purity set your face to the religion, before there comes from Allah a day that cannot be turned back. on that day mankind will be separated.

44) Those who disbelieve will be charged for their disbelief, while the righteous are making provision for themselves

45) So that He will recompense those who believe and do righteous deeds from his bounty. He does not love the unbelievers.

SHAKIR:

43) Then turn thy face straight to the right religion before there come from Allah the day which cannot be averted; on that day they shall become separated

44) Whoever disbelieves, he shall be responsible for his disbelief, and whoever does good, they prepare (good) for their own souls,

45) That He may reward those who believe and do good out of his grace; surely he does not love the unbelievers

PICKTHAL:

43) So set thy purpose resolutely for the right religion, before the inevitable day cometh from Allah. on that day mankind will be sundered-

44) Whoso disbelieveth must (then) bear the consequences of his disbelief, while those who do right make provision for themselves –

45) That He may reward out of his bounty those who believe and do good works. Lo! He loveth not the disbelievers (in his guidance).

YUSUFALI:

43) But set thou thy face to the right religion before there come from Allah the day which there is no chance of averting: on that day shall men be divided (in two).

44) Those who reject faith will suffer from that rejection: and those who work righteousness will spread their couch (of repose) for themselves (in heaven):

45) That He may reward those who believe and work righteous deeds, out of his bounty. For he loves not those who reject faith

This is Allah (20) who is the loser, Allah or the unbelievers?

It is Allah who made mankind one succeeding the other in the earth

Whoever disbelieves in Allah, his disbelief will be to his own detriment

Has anyone besides Allah created anything in the Earth?

Does any of your gods share Allah in His Kingdom?

————————————————————————

Many people do not know Allah. This series is an attempt to help them in order to know and acknowledge their Creator.

The verses 35:39-40 of the Noble Quran give two facts; they are:

1) It is Allah Who made mankind one succeeding the other in the earth and

2) Whoever disbelieves in Allah, his disbelief will be to his own detriment;

And also the verses give three questions; they are:

1) Who is losing, the Disbelievers or Allah?

2) Did anyone besides Allah create anything on the Earth? And

3) Does any of your gods share Allah in His Kingdom?

————————————————————————

The meaning of verse 35:39:

It is Allah Who made you successors in the earth in other words, one succeeding the other.

So whoever disbelieves, of you, his disbelief will be to his own detriment, that is, the evil consequences of his disbelief will be their responsibility.

And their disbelief does not increase the disbelievers with their Lord [in anything] except disfavor, wrath.

And their disbelief does not increase the disbelievers [in anything] except loss, of the reward of the Hereafter.

In other words, the verse says that it is He, Allah, Who has made you O mankind (regents in the earth) dwellers in the earth after the destruction of past nations; so he who disbelieves in Allah, his disbelief will be on his own head, on his own responsibility, the punishment of his disbelief is against his own soul.

Their disbelief increases for the disbelievers in Muhammad and in the Quran, in their Lord’s sight in the Hereafter, naught save abhorrence nothing but detestation.

Their disbelief in the life of this world increases for the disbelievers naught save loss in the Hereafter.

The meaning of verse 35:40:

Say O Muhammad, to the disbelievers, to the idolaters: Have ye seen your partner-gods, your deities to whom you pray;  whom you worship beside Allah? Show me what they created of the earth! Or have they any portion) with Allah (in the heavens) in the creation of the heavens? (Or have We given them) i.e. the disbelievers of Mecca (a Scripture so that they act on clear proof there from) that they will not be punished? (Nay, the evil-doers promise) what the idolaters say in the life of this world to (one another) i.e. the leaders to those who followed them (only to deceive) only vanity in the Hereafter.

In other words, the verse asks: ‘Have you considered your associates on whom you call, [those whom] you worship, besides Allah?, and they are the idols whom you asserted to be partners of Allah, exalted be He. Show me, apprise me of, what [part] of the earth they have created. Or do they have some partnership, some share alongside Allah, in, the creation of, the heavens?’ Or have We given them a scripture, so that they are [acting] upon a clear proof, a definitive argument, there from?, to the effect that they have some partnership with Me? Nothing of the sort! Nay, but the evildoers, the disbelievers, promise one another nothing but delusion, falsehood, when they say that the idols will intercede for them.

Verses 35:36-38 in different English translations of the meanings of Arabic Quran:

QARIB:

39) It is he who made you caliphs in the earth. he who disbelieves, his disbelief shall be charged against him. the unbelievers disbelief does nothing for them, except, increase them in hate with Allah their disbelief increases the unbelievers only in loss.

40) Say: ‘have you considered your associates who you call upon, other than Allah? show me what they have created in the earth! or, have they a partnership in the heavens? ‘ or, have we given them a book so that they have proof of it? no, the harm doers promise each other nothing else but delusion.

SHAKIR:

39) He it is who made you rulers in the land; therefore whoever disbelieves, his unbelief is against himself; and their unbelief does not increase the disbelievers with their lord in anything except hatred; and their unbelief does not increase the disbelievers m anything except loss

40) Say: have you considered your associates which you call upon besides Allah? show me what part of the earth they have created, or have they any share in the heavens; or, have we given them a book so that they follow a clear argument thereof? nay, the unjust do not hold out promises one to another but only to deceive

PICKTHAL:

39) He it is who hath made you regents in the earth; so he who disbelieveth, his disbelief be on his own head. their disbelief increaseth for the disbelievers, in their lord’s sight, naught save abhorrence. their disbelief increaseth for the disbelievers naught save loss.

40) Say: have ye seen your partner-gods to whom ye pray beside Allah? show me what they created of the earth! or have they any portion in the heavens? or have we given them a scripture so they act on clear proof therefrom? Nay, the evil-doers promise one another only to deceive.

YUSUFALI:

39) He it is that has made you inheritors in the earth: if, then, any do reject (Allah), their rejection (works) against themselves: their rejection but adds to the odium for the unbelievers in the sight of their lord: their rejection but adds to (their own) undoing.

40) Say: “have ye seen (these) ‘partners’ of yours whom ye call upon besides Allah? show me what it is they have created in the (wide) earth. or have they a share in the heavens? or have we given them a book from which they (can derive) clear (evidence)?- nay, the wrong-doers promise each other nothing but delusions.
