Atheists in Quran (24) they said: Noah is maniac

Do the Atheists know? 1) Who is the first ever professor of how to build a ship? The great Angel Gabriel, 2) who is the first ever shipbuilder among humankind? The great Prophet Noah and 3) what is the flood? It is = Allah’s Will cleared the road of obstacles so that human life could continue its march along the road assigned to it. However, the Atheists who are not aware of that said: Noah is maniac.

———————————

In the first article of this series [Atheists in Quran (1) Noah and the Atheists] we have seen that,

Allah sent Noah to his people to tell them:

  • My people, you have no other god save Allah
  • My people, profess Allah’s divine Oneness, and worship and obey him.
  • Will you not then fear His punishment in worshipping gods other than Him?

However, the chieftains Atheists among his folk, said to their followers:

We never heard of such, an affirmation of God’s Oneness as that which Noah summons us, among our ancestors or among past communities.

Then what happened?

The verses 23: 23:25-27 say:

The chieftains Atheists among Noah’s folk, said to their followers:

Noah is just a man possessed by madness, a case of dementia.

So wait and bear with him for a while until he dies.

The Atheists are incapable of understanding that they are imprisoned within their narrow walls, unable to break into the wide universe! They accuse those who advocate freedom of thought of being mad, calling on them to think and reflect.

When they are reminded of the pointers to the truth all around them, their reply is full of arrogance, reiterating accusations: “He is but a madman; so bear with him for a while.”

Bear with him until he dies when we will be relieved of him, his message and his persistent advocacy of faith.

At this moment, Noah could not find any way by which he could soften such stonehearted people. He could only protect himself against their ridicule by putting his complaint to God and seeking His support

In his supplication to Allah, Noah, said,

‘O My Lord, my people denied me and called me a liar, so please help me against them. Help me through sending a punishment upon them’

Allah, exalted be He, says, responding to his supplication:

Then We inspired in him, We sent Gabriel to him saying:

Make the ship, start building a ship Our gaze and through that which We inspired you.

Build the Ark, the ship, under Our watch, under Our observation and protection, and by Our revelation, Our command

Then, when Our command and Our punishment comes and the water gushes out of the oven introduce therein and transport in the ship two spouses of every kind: a male and a female

When the oven, of the baker, gushes, with water — and this was Noah’s sign— bring into it, admit into the ship, of every kind [of animal] two mates, a male and a female and

Take those of your household who believe in you save him thereof against whom the Word that he will be punished has already gone forth.

It is said that all those who were on the ship numbered eighty, half of them were men and half were women.

Moreover, do not plead with Me (by means of supplications) on behalf of those who have done wrong

This means do not plead with Allah to save those who disbelieved among your people

Lo! The unbelievers will be drowned in the flood.

It was Allah’s Will that the road should be cleared of obstacles so that human life could continue its march along the road assigned to it.

Nevertheless, what about the command of “do not plead with Allah to save those who disbelieved among your people?”

See the next article.

The verses 23:25-27 in different translations:

QARIB:

25- He is nothing else except a man who is mad, so watch him for awhile.

26- He (Noah) said: ‘Lord, help me, for they belie me. ‘

27- We said to him: ‘make the ark under our eye, and our revelation, and then when our command comes and the oven gushes water, take onboard a pair from every kind and your family, except him against whom the decision has already been passed. do not address me concerning those who have done evil; they shall be drowned.

SHAKIR:

25- He is only a madman, so bear with him for a time

26- He said: o my Lord! Help me against their calling me a liar

27- So we revealed to him, saying: make the ark before our eyes and (according to) our revelation; and when our command is given and the valley overflows, take into it of every kind a pair, two, and your followers, except those among them against whom the word has gone forth, and do not speak to me in respect of those who are unjust; surely they shall be drowned

PICKTHAL:

25- He is only a man in whom is a madness, so watch him for a while.

26- He said: my Lord! Help me because they deny me.

27- Then we inspired in him, saying: make the ship under our eyes and our inspiration. then, when our command cometh and the oven gusheth water, introduce therein of every (kind) two spouses, and thy household save him thereof against whom the word hath already gone forth. and plead not with me on behalf of those who have done wrong. lo! they will be drowned.

YUSUFALI:

25- (And some said): “he is only a man possessed: wait (and have patience) with him for a time.”

26- (Noah) said: “o my Lord! Help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood!”

27- So we inspired him (with this message): “construct the ark within our sight and under our guidance: then when comes our command, and the fountains of the earth gush forth, take thou on board pairs of every species, male and female, and thy family- except those of them against whom the word has already gone forth: and address me not in favour of the wrong-doers; for they shall be drowned (in the flood).

What President of the American Fertility Society says about the Quran

Professor Dr. Joe Leigh Simpson, the President of the American Fertility Society says: “…that there exist statements in the Quran shown centuries later to be valid, which support knowledge in the Quran having been derived from God.”

————————————————————————————————

Professor Dr. Joe Leigh Simpson is the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Professor of Molecular and Human Genetics at the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, USA.

Formerly, he was Professor of Ob-Gyn and the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, Tennessee, USA.

He was also the President of the American Fertility Society. He has received many awards, including the Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology Public Recognition Award in 1992.

It happened that Professor Simpson studied the following two sayings of the Prophet Muhammad:
“In every one of you, all components of your creation are collected together in your mother’s womb by forty days…”
“If forty-two nights have passed over the embryo, God sends an angel to it, who shapes it and creates its hearing, vision, skin, flesh, and bones….”
He studied these two sayings (Hadith) of the Prophet Muhammad comprehensively, noting that the first forty days constitute a noticeably distinguishable stage of embryo-genesis.

Joe Leigh Simpson was particularly impressed by the absolute precision and accuracy of those sayings of the Prophet Muhammad.

Then, during one conference, he gave the following judgment:
“It follows, I think, that not only there is no conflict between genetics and religion but, in fact, religion can guide science by adding revelation to some of the traditional scientific approaches, that there exist statements in the Quran shown centuries later to be valid, which support knowledge in the Quran having been derived from God.”

The reader is invited to see how Dr. Joe Leigh Simpson’s comments about the Noble Quran in the following video:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMLdm50k2ck

And to see Prof. Prof. Simpson saying that  There is no conflict between Islam and science in the following video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gAPlp5svOw

On the other hand, the Quran prophesized those who will read the Quran and they will realize that the Quran is inspired by the Supreme Almighty Creator, Allah.

No wonder then that the first word revealed in the Quran was “Read”, Just Read.

The verse 41:53 in the available translations

QARIB:

We will show them our signs in all the horizons and in themselves, until it is clear to them that it is the truth. is it not sufficient that your lord is witness over everything? ‘

SHAKIR:

We will soon show them our signs in the universe and in their own souls, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. is it not sufficient as regards your lord that he is a witness over all things?

PICKTHAL:

We shall show them our portents on the horizons and within themselves until it will be manifest unto them that it is the truth. doth not thy lord suffice, since he is witness over all things?

YUSUFALI:

Soon will we show them our signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the truth. is it not enough that thy lord doth witness all things?

The Flies in Bible vs. Quran-1

The Professor Thought The Bible’s Answer Deserves Full Marks, But…

Hypothetical approach

A professor was preparing his two students, “B” and “Q”, to be eminent teachers of ethics and morality. The professor would like to examine his two students.

The professor put this question for them:

“You are going to be a famous teacher, thus, ‘Give a brief account on the Flies’, with emphasis on the ethical and morality values in your teaching that are important to mankind.’

Student B answered this question in,

§  25 Minutes

§  283 Words

§  1,173 Characters (with no spaces)

§  1,456 Characters (with spaces)

§  Eight Paragraphs

§  23 Lines

Student Q answered this question in,

§  Five Minutes

§  56 Words

§  231 Characters (with no spaces)

§  287 Characters (with spaces)

§  One Paragraph

§  Five Lines

The professor thought that student “B” is smarter than student “Q”.

B stands for the Bible

Q stands for the Quran

The professor said that “B” had five times more chances than student “Q”. to give more fruitful answer.

Student “B” was five times chances in comparison to student Q, time wise, paragraphs wise, words wise, characters wise and lines wise to give more productive answer.  For this reason, before he reads the two answers of both “B” and “Q”, the professor had a predetermined thought that “B” answer deserves full marks and “Q” answer deserves nothing; nevertheless, upon reading the two answers, the smart fair professor…

In this Hypothetical approach,

You smart reader is the fair professor.

Student B is the Bible, American Standard Version.

Student Q is the Quran, Pickthal translation.

The question again:

“You are going to be a famous teacher, hence, ‘Give a brief account on the Flies’, with emphasis on the ethical and morality values in your teaching that are important to mankind.’

————————————-

The Bible answered the question in eight verses.

Ecclesiastes 10:1

1 Dead Flies cause the oil of the perfumer to send forth an evil odor; so doth a little folly outweigh wisdom and honor.

Isaiah 7:18

18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Jehovah will hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.

Exodus 8:21

21 Else, if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of Flies upon thee, and upon they servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of Flies, and also the ground whereon they are.

Exodus 8:22

22 And I will set apart in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of Flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am Jehovah in the midst of the earth.

Exodus 8:24

24 And Jehovah did so; and there came grievous swarms of Flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants’ houses: and in all the land of Egypt the land was corrupted by reason of the swarms of Flies.

Exodus 8:29

29 And Moses said, Behold, I go out from thee, and I will entreat Jehovah that the swarms of Flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, to-morrow: only let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to Jehovah.

Exodus 8:31

31 And Jehovah did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the swarms of Flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one.

Psalm 105:31

31 He spake, and there came swarms of Flies, and lice in all their borders.

The Quran answered the question in one verse.

Verse 22:73

O mankind! A similitude is coined, so pay ye heed to it: lo! Those on whom ye call beside Allah will never create a fly though they combine together for the purpose. And if the fly took something from them, they could not rescue it from it. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought!

The result of the exam,

Upon reading the two answers,

Chapter 6 of the Quran (87) Breathing in High Altitude

It should be emphasized that an Egyptian Christian Professor of Chest Diseases embraced Islam because of this verse. He said: how come that Muhammad knew the scientific fact of the constricted and extremely tight chest with difficulty in breathing that happens in high altitude?

——————————————-

It should be emphasized that an Egyptian Christian Professor of Chest diseases embraced Islam because of Ayah 6:125. He said: how come that Muhammad knew the scientific fact of the constricted and extremely tight chest with difficulty in breathing that happens in high altitude?

Ayah 6:125 says:

And whomsoever it is Allah’s will to guide to His religion,

Allah expand his heart unto accepting Islam by casting into his heart a light which the heart expands for and accepts

Allah expand his bosom and his chest unto the Surrender

And whomsoever it is Allah’s will to send astray and to leave in error and disbelief,

Allah makes his bosom closely narrow to accept it, constricted and extremely tight as if he were engaged in ascent to the heaven when he is charged with the obligations of the faith, because of the hardship for him therein.

Allah leaves his chest narrow like the ferrule of a spear in doubt;

This could also mean: the light cannot find a way or a passage to his heart as if he were engaged in sheer ascent.

In other word, the likeness of the chest of such a person who is not guided to Islam is the likeness of a person who is told to rise in heaven:

The chest of such a person who is not guided to Islam is narrow with difficulty in breathing as if he is in a very high altitude wherein the oxygen is defficient.

Allah casts Satan, that is, He gives him authority, over those who do not believe, and thus,

Allah laid ignominy upon the hearts of those who do not believe in Allah, in His last Prophet Muhammad and in the Quran, and then

Allah will punish them for their denial and disbelief.

—————————————————————-

The verse 6:125 in different translations

QARIB:

Whomsoever Allah desires to guide, he expand s his chest to islam (submission). Whomsoever he desires to lead astray, he makes his chest narrow, tight, as though he were climbing to heaven. as such Allah lays the scourge on the unbelievers.

SHAKIR:

Therefore (for) whomsoever Allah intends that he would guide him aright, he expand s his breast for islam, and (for) whomsoever he intends that he should cause him to err, he makes his breast strait and narrow as though he were ascending upwards; thus does Allah lay uncleanness on those who do not believe

PICKTHAL:

And whomsoever it is Allah’s will to guide, he expand eth his bosom unto the surrender, and whomsoever it is his will to send astray, he maketh his bosom close and narrow as if he were engaged in sheer ascent. Thus Allah layeth ignominy upon those who believe not.

YUSUFALI:

Those whom Allah (in his plan) willeth to guide,- he openeth their breast to islam; those whom he willeth to leave straying,- he maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies: thus doth Allah (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to believe.
