Atheists in Quran (43) when their Doubt Leads to Hell

In Surah 2, there is no doubt the Quran that it is Allah’s Book.

However, the Atheists and unbelievers are in doubt about it.

Well, if they are in doubt about the Quran, then produce only one Surah like it. If they do not do it, otherwise, this doubt will leads to the Eternal Hell in the Afterlife!

———————————

In the previous articles,

  1. Allah challenges the entire Humankind to produce a Quran like the one revealed and when they have failed,
  2. Allah challenged them to produce ten Surah similar to the Quran.  When the entire Humankind have failed,
  3. Allah challenges the entire Humankind to produce only ONE Surah similar to the Quran.

In this article, Surah 2 (chapter 2) of the Noble Quran puts the end of this unique linguistic Challenge

Surah 2 begins with Allah’s affirmation that the Quran is His book without any doubt; in it, there is guidance unto those who ward off Hell. (Verse 2:2)

The Creator, Exalted be He, knows that some of his arrogant creature have doubt about the Quran.

Allah knows that the Atheists and unbelievers claim that Muhammad forged the Quran and they are in doubt about the Quran.

In the verses 2:23-24 we have this strict clear-cut plan that is followed by severe warning

1)    If you are in doubt about the Quran, then produce only one Surah like it

2)    Seek the help of the entire humankind to help you in your work

3)    If you do not do it, and in fact you WILL NEVER Ever DO IT, then guard yourselves against the Hell whose fuel is people and stones, prepared for the Atheists and unbelievers.

Hence, the verse 2:23 put the end of the unique linguistic Challenge by stating that the Atheists + the unbelievers + humankind will never ever Challenge the Quran and they are unable to cope with the challenge and emulate even one Surah like it

The Atheists + the unbelievers + humankind cannot produce 15 Arabic words and produce a Surah like that present in the Quran!

This is the summary of the plan that is followed by severe warning

Now, let us discuss this risky issue calmly

“This is the Book; there is no doubt about it a guidance unto those who ward off Hell.” (Verse 2)

The key words in this statement are:

  • Doubt
  • Guidance
  • Hell

Guidance expresses the essence and the nature of the Quran.

But guidance for whom? Who are the people who will find that this Book provides them with light, direction and true counsel?

They are the Allah-fearing.

They fear Allah, submit, obey and Ward off Hell

Once a man’s heart is filled with the fear of Allah, he will benefit by the Quran. Fear and consciousness of Allah is the quality that opens one’s mind to the true guidance contained in the Quran and allows it to have its proper effect on one’s life.

Fear of Allah is the factor that causes one’s heart and mind to become sensitive and receptive to Allah’s guidance and enables one to respond to His call and His instruction.

Anyone seeking the benefit and Allahly wisdom of the Quran must approach it with an open mind and a pure heart. One must also approach it with perception and sensitivity, and with a determination not to fall by the wayside or be tempted away from Allah.

Then, and only then, will the marvels and treasures of the Quran be opened and revealed, and their light and wisdom will pour into this apprehensive, alert and welcoming heart.

Fear of Allah, then, is to have a sensitive conscience, clear feelings, a continuous concern, vigilance and alacrity, and a yearning for the correct path in life. It is a feeling that is ever alive, a feeling of being aware of life’s temptations and pitfalls; and the ambitions and hopes, and the worries and fears that come with it. It is a feeling of being able to discern false hopes and unwarranted fears that one associates with individuals or powers that could neither bring benefit nor cause harm.

A Divine Challenge

Allah puts a scientific plan for the Atheists and unbelievers

The Quran is challenging them all, as indeed it challenges humankind in general, saying:

“If you are in doubt as to what We have revealed to Our servant, then produce one Surah comparable to it and call upon all your witnesses, other than Allah, if what you say is true.” (Verse 23)

The challenge begins with emphasizing an important fact by describing the Prophet Muhammad as Allah’s ‘servant’. This description is significant in a number of ways: it is,

First, an honor to the Prophet himself and an indication that to be a ‘servant’ of Allah is the highest honor a human being can attain.

Second, it affirms the essence of servitude to Allah in the universal human context, calling on all men to submit only to Allah and renounce all partners that may be associated with Him.

The Prophet Muhammad, who attained the highest position of honor as a recipient of Allah’s Revelations, is also honored by being described as a servant of Allah.

The challenge = If they were in any doubt, they were free to produce anything, even one Surah, comparable to it, and they could seek the help of the entire humankind.

This challenge remained open throughout the Prophet’s life, and has done so ever since. The Quranic argument stands just as firmly today as it has through the centuries.

Thus, Allah’s words, and His warning, remain true:

“But if you fail, as you will certainly do, then guard yourselves against the fire, fuelled by men and stones, prepared for the unbelievers.” (Verse 24)

It is a remarkable challenge indeed, but what is even more remarkable is the absolute certainty with which it is made. Were any of the unbelieving Arabs able to take up the challenge, they would not have hesitated for a moment. The Quranic assertion of the futility of their task, and the endurance of that assertion, are in themselves manifest and irrefutable proof of its superior nature.

The opportunity remains wide open for anyone or any group to pick up the gauntlet and try their best to match the Quran and refute its claims of divinity and superiority.

However, this has not happened and, as the Quran clearly states, will never happen. That is the Quran’s final word for posterity.

Anyone with any real knowledge or appreciation of literary styles, or expertise in philosophy, psychology, social science, or any other science at all, will not fail to recognize that whatever the Quran has to say in any field of knowledge is something unique, unlike anything human beings would say. Argument over this fact can only arise from blind ignorance or sheer prejudice.

The stern warning to “guard yourselves against the fire, fuelled by men and stones” comes as no surprise to those who may fail in their challenge to Allah but persist, nevertheless, with their rejection of the truth.

The use of the word ‘stones’ here is fascinating.

This fire is prepared for the Atheists and unbelievers.

They are the ones who have failed to take up Allah’s challenge, and persisted, nevertheless, in their rejection of His message.

They are stone like, although they have a human form. Hence the connection between humans and stones in this verse. The expression amply conveys the horror of the awesome scene in which people and stones are both:

  • The fuel of the Fire
  • Consumed by Fire

Miserably, this is the doubt that leads to the Eternal Hell in the Afterlife!

The verse 2:2 in different translations:

QARIB:

That is the (holy) book, where there is no doubt. it is a guidance for the cautious (of evil and hell).

SHAKIR:

This book, there is no doubt in it, is a guide to those who guard (against evil)

PICKTHAL:

This is the scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off (evil).

YUSUFALI:

This is the book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah;

———————————

The verses 2:23-24 in different translations:

QARIB:

23- If you are in doubt of what we have sent down to our worshiper (prophet muhammad), produce a chapter comparable to it. call upon your helpers, other than Allah, to assist you, if you are true.

24- But if you fail, as you are sure to fail, then guard yourselves against the fire whose fuel is people and stones, prepared for the unbelievers.

SHAKIR:

23- And if you are in doubt as to that which we have revealed to our servant, then produce a chapter like it and call on your witnesses besides Allah if you are truthful

24- But if you do (it) not and never shall you do (it), then be on your guard against the fire of which men and stones are the fuel; it is prepared for the unbelievers

PICKTHAL:

23- And if ye are in doubt concerning that which we reveal unto our slave (Muhammad), then produce a surah of the like thereof, and call your witness beside Allah if ye are truthful.

24- And if ye do it not – and ye can never do it – then guard yourselves against the fire prepared for disbelievers, whose fuel is of men and stones.

YUSUFALI:

23- And if ye are in doubt as to what we have revealed from time to time to our servant, then produce a sura like thereunto; and call your witnesses or helpers (if there are any) besides Allah, if your (doubts) are true.

24- But if ye cannot- and of a surety ye cannot- then fear the fire whose fuel is men and stones,- which is prepared for those who reject faith.

The Rabbit in Bible vs. Quran vs. Science

The Bible says that the Rabbit is a ruminant animal. The scientists say that the Rabbit is not a ruminant animal.

The Quran does not mention the Rabbit by name but it gives an Arabic word of four letters that can be applicable for man, animals, birds, plants and microbes.

——————————–

The Rabbit in the Bible:

RABBITS ERRONEOUSLY CALLED RUMINANTS IN THE BIBLE

The rabbits are mentioned in the Old Testament in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14. The rabbit does not mentioned in the New Testament.

The quotes herein are from the New International Version.

Leviticus 11:3-6:

‘Whatever divides the hoof, and is cloven-footed, chewing the cud, among the animals, that you shall eat.

‘Only, you shall not eat these of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: the camel, for he chews the cud but does not divide the hoof; he is unclean to you.

And the rock badger, because he chews the cud, but does not divide the hoof; he is unclean to you.

‘And the hare, because he chews the cud but does not divide the hoof; he is unclean to you.’

Deuteronomy 14:6-8:

You may eat any animal that has a split hoof divided in two and that chews the cud.

However, of those that chew the cud or that have a split hoof completely divided you may not eat the camel, the rabbit or the Coney. Although they chew the cud, they do not have a split hoof; they are ceremonially unclean for you.

The pig is also unclean; although it has a split hoof, it does not chew the cud. You are not to eat their meat or touch their carcasses.

These verses made the digestive process of the rabbit an object of a hot theological discussion.

In Hebrew “arnebeth” means rabbit

Also, in Arabic “arnab” means a male rabbit and “arnabat” means a female rabbit.

The Hebrew words are: ‘ALEH GERAH, lit,

These Hebrew words mean ‘Gerah the cud’ and translated to ‘chew the cud’

The exact or the true translation should be: “raising up what has been swallowed”)? Or may be translated to ‘bring up the cud’

Rabbits do not bring up anything; they let it go all the way through, and then eat it again. The description given in Leviticus is inaccurate. Rabbits do eat their own dung; they do not bring anything up and chew on it.

The Bible says that the hare chews the cud, but the scientists claim that the Bible is in error on this point.

Furthermore, some skeptics claim that since the Bible contains this error, it is not the Word of God and cannot be taken seriously on any other points either.

Animals that ‘chew the cud’ are called ruminants. They hardly chew their food when first eaten, but swallow it into a special stomach where the food is partially digested. Then it is regurgitated, chewed again, and swallowed into a different stomach. Animals which do this include cows, sheep and goats, and they all have four stomachs. Coneys and rabbits are not ruminants.

Animals which do this include cows, sheep, goats, deer, and giraffes; they all have four stomachs and chewing a cud consisting of regurgitated, partially digested food.” Coneys and rabbits are not ruminants.

The rabbit does not fit this definition, and trying to classify it as a ruminant is not accepted.

Biblical scholars refuse to see this statement as a biological error that incorrectly classifies the rabbit as a ruminant or cud-chewer.

When defining the rabbit, most of the Bible Dictionaries say that the habit of the rabbit is to grind its teeth and move its jaw as if it actually chewed the cud. But, like the Coney, it is not a ruminant with four stomachs, but a rodent like the squirrel, rat, etc. Moses speaks of it according to appearance. It is interdicted because, though apparently chewing the cud, it did not divide the hoof.”

Examples of what is said about the rabbit in some Bible Dictionaries

A) Interpreter’s Dictionary of the Bible, page 525:

“The assertion that the hare is a ruminant is contrary to fact. Some movements of the mouth and jaws have been erroneously interpreted as cud-chewing.”

B) International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, page 616:

“This animal is mentioned only in the lists of unclean animals in Leviticus and Deuteronomy…The hare and the Coney are not ruminants, but might be supposed to be from their habit of almost continuously moving their jaws.”

C) Eerdmans Dictionary of the Bible, 2000 edition, page 552:

“Because it “chews the cud” but “does not have divided hoofs,” the hare is classified as an unclean animal (Lev. 11:6; Deut. 14:7). Actually, it is not a ruminant but may have appeared as such to ancient observers because of its constant chewing movements.”

A Biblical scholar said:

“I don’t believe the rabbit chews the cud in the modern technical sense. It simply makes a chewing motion that from an observational point of view can be associated with other animals that do chew the cud in the technical sense.”

Another intellectual claims that “the Hebrew “arnebeth” means an unidentified animal which is rendered hare or rabbit, perhaps incorrectly”. His opinion is far beyond the reality!

Other Biblical academic scholar said:

“Does the rabbit ruminate? True ruminants normally have four stomachs, and that which has been worked over in these stomachs is regurgitated into the mouth when it is ready to be chewed again. In this technical sense neither the rabbit nor the hare can be called ruminants, but they do give the appearance of chewing their cud in the same way ruminants do.”

Herein the conclusion of what the Biblical researchers say:

  • The Rabbits do give the appearance of chewing their cud in the same way ruminants do.
  • The Rabbits are not ruminants, but might be supposed to be from their habit of almost continuously moving their jaws.
  • The Rabbits are not ruminants but may have appeared as such to ancient observers because of their constant chewing movements.

Now the question is: what is the relation between the Word of God and the ancient observers who assumed that the Rabbits are cud-chewing due to its habit of continuously moving its jaws?

In addition, who wrote the Bible God or those observers?

——————————–

The Rabbit in the Quran:

The rabbit by name is not mentioned in the Quran.

However, the Quran gives an Arabic word of four characters that can be applicable for man, animals, birds, plants and microbes.

You will read about this comprehensive word very soon.

The Atom in Bible vs. Quran vs. Science

One of the inherited doctrines of humankind is that the “Quran is quoted or borrowed from the Bible”

In this series of articles, I will try to explore this Dogma on scientific basis to show up its legitimacy.

In the present topic of Atom, one may ask this:

Is it true that the Quran quoted from the Bible?

In addition, which book precedes the sciences? The book that mentioned the atom and the atomic weight for six times or the book that mentions neither the atom nor the atomic weight?

Before dealing with the topic of the, it may be fruitful to give some statistical hints. The total words in the Bible are 788,280 while total words in the Quran are 77,473.

It follows that, the Bible is more than 10 times the Quran referring to the number of words.

In other words, the Bible has the potential of more than 10 times than the Quran to exhibit its goods. Back to the Atom and Atomic weight, they are not mentioned in the Bible and they are mentioned six times in the Quran.

—————————————

the Atom and Atomic weight in the Bible:

When we search the Bible; we find that

1) No results would be found for atom,

2) No results would be found for atomic weight 3) No results would be found for subatomic Atomic weight. It follows that, the Bible does not mention the “Atom” or the “Atomic Weight” or the “Sub-Atomic Weight” On the other hand, the Quran is the first written book on the earth that mentions the “atom”, “atomic weight”, and “Sub-Atomic Weight”

—————————————

Atom in the Quran:

The existence of particles smaller than the Atom: In ancient times, a well-known theory named ‘Theory of Atomism’ was widely acknowledged. Democritus, the Greek about 23 centuries ago, originally anticipated this theory. Democritus and the scholars who came after him, postulated that the smallest unit of matter was the atom.

The Arabs used to believe the same. The Arabic word “zarrah” most commonly meant an atom. In recent times, modern scientists have discovered that it is likely to split even an atom. The scientific development of the 20th century shows that the atom splits further to something smaller than the Atom.

Fourteen centuries ago, this notion would have appeared unusual even to both the Greeks and the Arabs. For both the Atom and “zarrah” was the limit beyond which one could not go further. Nevertheless, the Noble Quran refuses to accept this limit that is put by the Greeks and the Arabs.

In Surah 34:3

“The Unbelievers say, “Never to us will come the Hour”: say, “Nay! but most surely, by my Lord, it will come upon you; – by Him Who knows the unseen – from Whom is not hidden the least little atom in the Heavens or on earth: nor is there anything less than that, or greater, but (all) is recorded in a clear and profound book”.

This verse replied the Unbelievers who denied the “Hour” (the Day of Judgment and the afterlife).

The verse refers to the Omniscience of Allah,

Allah knows everything both hidden and apparent.

Allah is aware of everything, including what is smaller or bigger than the atom.

Thus, the verse 34:3 clearly shows that it is possible for something smaller than the atom to exist.

This scientific fact has discovered after the revelation of the Quran by 1350 years.

The subatomic weight in the Noble Quran: In Surah 10:61 “In whatever business thou mayest be, and whatever portion thou mayest be reciting from the Qur’an,- and whatever deed ye (mankind) may be doing,- We are witnesses thereof when ye are deeply engrossed therein. Nor is hidden from thy Lord (so much as) And not the weight of an atom on the earth or in heaven the sky escapeth your Lord, nor what is less than that or greater than that , but it is recorded ( written ) in a clear profound record (Book) “.

In Surah 34:22

“Say (O Muhammad): ” Call upon those whom ye assert (set up) besides Allah: they have no power – not the weight of an atom – in the heavens or on earth; no (sort of) share have they therein, nor is any of them a helper to Allah.” This is the Quranic teachings that give us a productive scientific hint about the subatomic weight,

Furthermore, the Quran gives us an advice to use this scientific hint in our life. How small the atom is?

If we know that every work we are doing even if it is smaller than an atom will be recorded and we will see it in the afterlife and either get rewarded or punished for it, then tell me how would be the style of mankind’s life if we believe in these Quranic teachings. If we read this verse in Surah 99:6 “On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the Deeds that they had done” This verse determines the final outcome for each of us. In Surah 99:7 “Then shall anyone who has done an atom’s weight of good, see it!” In Surah 99:8 “And anyone who has done an atom’s weight of evil, shall see it.” In conclusion, the Quran is the first book On Earth that mentions these three topics; 1) The Atom, 2) The Atomic weight and 3) The subatomic weight. No book before the Quran mentioned these three topics together. The thing is that the Quran is not a scientific book to give us detailed sophisticated scientific expression.

Nevertheless, the Quran uses these three topics for faith and religious purposes.

This unique style of the Quran is just to make you aware of three very important issues; they are:

1) Allah know everything, whatever it is, even if it is too smaller than the subatomic weight,

2) Our work even if it is too smaller than the subatomic weight is recorded and we will see it in the afterlife and

3) In the afterlife, the reward or punishment for our work will be the most fair because it weighs our deeds even if they are smaller than the subatomic weight. Good rewards and the forever-paradise for the good work. “Whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it.” Bad punishments and the forever fire for the bad work. “And whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.” Not only that, but Allah is the most generous; Allah will double the reward for the good deed. In Surah 4:40 “Allah is never unjust in the weight of an atom: if there is any good (done) He doubleth it, and giveth from His own presence a great reward.” It follows that whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it and get rewarded double time for it.

—————————————

Back to our main issue; one may ask this: Is the Quran quoted from the Bible. In addition, which book precedes the sciences? The book which mentioned the atom , the atomic weight and the subatomic weight 6 times or the book which does not mention at all neither the atom or the atomic weight or the subatomic weight?

The Spider in Bible vs. Quran vs. Science

The Bible says that the spider is found in kings’ palaces, Locusts have no king and whoever eats the eggs of vipers will die.

The Quran says that the female spider is the one mainly undertaking the building of the house and the spider’s house, from the physical and moral point of view, is the weakest house of all houses

———————————————————

One of the expanded dogmas of mankind is that the Quran is quoted or borrowed from the Bible.

This creed is established upon studies of many prejudiced intellectual scholars

In this series of articles (1-16), it is obvious that the Quran is quite different from the Bible.

It is also very clear that the Quran preceded the sciences in many aspects. In the present topic of the Spider, the smart reader will answer easily this false dogmatic inquiry: Is the Quran quoted from the Bible. The Bible which says :

1) Four things on earth are small, Ants, Coneys, locusts and a spider,

2) Locusts have no king,

3) The spider is found in kings’ palaces and

4) Whoever eats the eggs of vipers will die. Or the Quran which says

1) The female spider is the one mainly undertaking the building of the house,

2) The spider’s house, from the physical and moral point of view, is the weakest house of all houses and

3) The weakness is in the spider’s house and not in its threads Before dealing with the topic of the Spider in Quran vs. Bible vs. sciences, it is essential to remember that the total words of the Bible are 788,280 while total words of the Quran are 77,473. It follows that, the Bible has the potential of more than 10 times the Quran to talk about the spider word-wise. The spider is mentioned in three verses in the Bible (all are in the Old Testament and never mentioned in the New Testament).

On the other hand, the spider is mentioned in one verse in the Quran. ———————————————————

The Spider in the Bible Proverbs 30 24 “Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise: 25 Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer; 26 Coneys are creatures of little power, yet they make their home in the crags; 27 locusts have no king, yet they advance together in ranks; 28 a spider can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings’ palaces.

In the “Arabic” Bible, the verse 24 says:” the smallest”; this adjective is modified in the modern English version to “small”. However, there are thousands of creatures that are smaller than the Ants, Coneys, locusts and a spider and are wise also as for examples the microbes, protozoa and fungi. Also, why the spider is found in the kings’ places specifically? Again, why the locusts have no king although they have? Job 8 13 Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so perishes the hope of the godless. 14 What he trusts in is fragile; what he relies on is a spider’s web. In this verse, the trust of the hypocrite is compared to the spider’s web or house.

This meaning is a beautiful one. Isaiah 59:5-6 Talking about those who are unjust and lie etc. 5 They hatch the eggs of vipers and spin a spider’s web. Whoever eats their eggs will die, and when one is broken, an adder is hatched. 6 Their cobwebs are useless for clothing; they cannot cover themselves with what they make. Their deeds are evil deeds, and acts of violence are in their hands. Herein, Isaiah describes the wicked as those which “weave the spider’s web” i.e., their works and designs are, like the spider’s web, vain and useless. However, scientifically speaking, the one who eat the eggs of vipers will not die. Guaranteed. Even the one who eats the viper itself will not die. I wonder why the Bible put itself in such critical scientific conflicts. ———————————————————

The Spider in the Quran: Surah 29: [39] (Remember also) Qaroun, Pharaoh, and Haman: there came to them Moses with Clear Signs, but they behaved with insolence on the earth; yet they could not overreach (Us). [40] Each one of them We seized for his crime: of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): it was not Allah who injured (or oppressed) them: they injured (and oppressed) their own souls. [41] The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of the Spider, who builds (to itself) a house; but truly the flimsiest of houses is the Spider’s house; if they but knew. [42] Verily Allah doth know of (every thing) whatever that they call upon besides Him: and He is Exalted (in power), Wise. [43] And such are the Parables We set forth for mankind, but only those understand them who have knowledge. [44] Allah created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): verily in that is a Sign for those who believe. N.B.: Qaroun and Haman were the best friends of the Pharaoh of Moses. Qaroun was a very wealthy and powerful Israelite but was pro-Pharaoh. Haman was a top Egyptian official, he was chief of the army and police. Both Qaroun and Haman are not mentioned in the Bible. Back to the Spider, the Surah number 29 is named “Al-Ankaboot” which means the spider.

Naming the Surah with the singular form “Al-Ankaboot” indicates the solitary life of this animal, except at times of mating and egg hatching. This can be compared to the Surah “Al-Nahel” (The Bees) and the Surah “Al-Namel” (The Ants), where the names are plural since these insects live in social groups. The word “Al-Ankaboot” is used for the feminine singular. The verse indicates that the female spider is the one mainly undertaking the building of the house. Accordingly, building the spider’s house is an assignment carried on by the female spiders. It is the female which has in its body the glands for secretion of the silk substance from which the spider’s house is made. The spider’s house, from the physical point of view, is the weakest house of all, because it is made out of a number of very delicate silk threads. These threads are interwoven, leaving large separating spaces at most times. Therefore, they do not protect from the heat of the sun, or the extreme cold. These threads do not form adequate shade, nor protect from the rain, storming winds, or the dangers of attackers.

The Quran is very strict and clear when saying that the weakness is in the spider’s house and not the threads; (the flimsiest of houses). The spider’s house is the flimsiest house, whether physically or morally.

This has been proven by the late studies in zoology. In other words, the Quran preceded the modern scientific findings by more than 1300 years. The threads of the spider’s house are made of very delicate silk. The thickness of one thread is usually one million of the squared inch, or one part of four thousand parts of the thickness of the ordinary human hair. Despite its delicacy, it is the strongest biological substance known to mankind so far. The silk threads which make up the spider’s web are considered stronger than steel, and their strength is surpassed only by the melted quartz. The thin thread stretches to five times its length before it is cut. Therefore, the scientists call it “biological steel” or “bio-steel”. It is twenty times stronger than the ordinary metal steel. Its tolerance measures 300,000 pound for the square inch. Hypothetically speaking, should there be a thick rope of the spider’s threads, in the size of the thumb, it can easily carry a “jumbo” jet. In addition, the spider’s house, morally speaking, is the flimsiest of all houses, because it is deprived of all love and kindness, which are the pillars of any happy home. The female kills the male as soon as the fertilization takes place. Being larger in size and more violent, the female kills the male and eats its body. Also, the female eats its youngsters mercilessly. In some types, the female dies after fertilizing its eggs, which are usually fostered in a silk bag. When the eggs hatch, spider lings come out to find themselves in a very crowded place inside the eggs bag. The siblings then start to fight for food, space or both. The brother kills its brother and sister, and the sister kills its sister and brother, until the fight ends with a few spider lings remaining. These spider lings shed their skin and tear the eggs bag to come out one after the other with unhappy memories. They all then spread in the surrounding environment. Each female starts to build its house. On the road to achieve this goal, some of the spider lings die, whereas those who survive repeat the same tragedy. This makes the spider’s house the most violent and ruthless house, lacking all forms of kinship. Hence, Allah the Almighty sets it as a parable in its weakness and frailty because it lacks the simplest form of kindness between the husband and wife, the mother and her children, the brother and his siblings, and the sister and her siblings. These facts were unknown to any human at the time of revelation, and for long centuries thereafter. They have been discovered after extensive studies of the behavior of the spider by hundreds of scientists, for tens of years, until they were realized in the last decades of the twentieth century. That is why Allah ended the noble verse with His saying “if they but knew”. Some deep meaning of the verse: A- The house of the spider is not merely its dwelling place. Being the sticky net it is, it constitutes a trap for flying insects such as flies and others. These insects are a prey on which the spider feeds. Similarly, those idolaters who revere gods besides Allah, and call people to those revered gods, are in fact calling them to an artful trap which leads them to their death and destruction in this life and the afterlife. B- Warning against those with corrupt invocations who revere others besides Allah, whether money or whim. This warning is issued through indicating their hidden strings with which they hunt their victims. These strings can be money, sex, power, or any other hidden string which destroys the victim once it is trapped. Now, I think it is easy to answer this forged dogmatic question:

Is the Quran quoted from the Bible?

He was also the President of the American Fertility Society. He has received many awards, including the Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology Public Recognition Award in 1992.

It happened that Professor Simpson studied the following two sayings of the Prophet Muhammad:
“In every one of you, all components of your creation are collected together in your mother’s womb by forty days…”
“If forty-two nights have passed over the embryo, God sends an angel to it, who shapes it and creates its hearing, vision, skin, flesh, and bones….”
He studied these two sayings (Hadith) of the Prophet Muhammad comprehensively, noting that the first forty days constitute a noticeably distinguishable stage of embryo-genesis.

Joe Leigh Simpson was particularly impressed by the absolute precision and accuracy of those sayings of the Prophet Muhammad.

Then, during one conference, he gave the following judgment:
“It follows, I think, that not only there is no conflict between genetics and religion but, in fact, religion can guide science by adding revelation to some of the traditional scientific approaches, that there exist statements in the Quran shown centuries later to be valid, which support knowledge in the Quran having been derived from God.”

On the other hand, the Quran prophesized those who will read the Quran and they will realize that the Quran is inspired by the Supreme Almighty Creator, Allah.

No wonder then that the first word revealed in the Quran was “Read”, Just Read.

The verse 41:53 in the available translations

QARIB:

We will show them our signs in all the horizons and in themselves, until it is clear to them that it is the truth. is it not sufficient that your lord is witness over everything? ‘

SHAKIR:

We will soon show them our signs in the universe and in their own souls, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. is it not sufficient as regards your lord that he is a witness over all things?

PICKTHAL:

We shall show them our portents on the horizons and within themselves until it will be manifest unto them that it is the truth. doth not thy lord suffice, since he is witness over all things?

YUSUFALI:

Soon will we show them our signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the truth. is it not enough that thy lord doth witness all things?

What Professor Gerald C. Goeringer says about the Quran?

Upon reading few verses of the Quran, Professor Dr Gerald C. Goeringer speculated whether in the history of embryology was there any mention of the different stages of embryonic development, or whether there existed any embryological texts at the time of the Prophet Muhammad.

———————————————————————–

Upon reading few verses (ayah) of the Noble Quran, Professor Dr Gerald C. Goeringer speculated whether in the history of embryology was there any mention of the different stages of embryonic development, or whether there existed any embryological texts at the time of the Prophet Muhammad.

Dr Gerald C. Goeringer is a Course Director and Professor and coordinator of Medical Embryology at the Department of Cell Biology, School of Medicine, Georgetown University, Washington, DC, USA.

During the Eighth Saudi Medical Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Professor Goeringer stated the following in the presentation of his research paper:

“In a relatively few ayah (Quranic verses) is contained a rather comprehensive description of human development from the time of commingling of the gametes through organogenesis.  No such distinct and complete record of human development, such as classification, terminology, and description, existed previously.  In most, if not all, instances, this description antedates by many centuries the recording of the various stages of human embryonic and foetal development recorded in the traditional scientific literature.”

The verses 23:12-14 in the four available translations

QARIB:

We created the human from an essence of clay: then we made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). Then we created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and we created the clot into bite size tissue, then we created the bite size tissue into bones, then we clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it another creation. Blessed is Allah, the best of creators!

SHAKIR:

And certainly we created man of an extract of clay, then we made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, then we made the seed a clot, then we made the clot a lump of flesh, then we made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then we clothed the bones with flesh, then we caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators.

PICKTHAL:

Verily we created man from a product of wet earth; then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; then fashioned we the drop a clot, then fashioned we the clot a little lump, then fashioned we the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the best of creators!

YUSUFALI:

Man we did create from a quintessence (of clay); then we placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; then we made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot we made a (fetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. so blessed be Allah, the best to create!
