Death in Quran (4) story of man’s existence

In one short verse, the Noble Quran analyses the whole story of man’s existence on this earth. It begins, by the will of Allah, with a state of death and ends with death, after which Allah will restore life again, and the ultimate return thereafter shall be to Him from whom life originated.

————————————–

How do you, disbelieve in Allah, in which state are you veiled from Him, when…

When you were dead, and He gave life to you

Why do you not see the proof of the Creator in His creation?

Then He will give you death after your term of life is completed and your lifespan ends,

Then He shall give life to you again, at the Resurrection, and then unto Him you will be returned! Whereupon He shall requite you according to your deeds

How can ye reject the faith in Allah?

The mysteries of life and death are in Allah’s hands.

When you die on this earth that is not the end.  You were of Him, and you must return to Him.

Look around you and realize your own dignity; it is from Him.

Giving Life after Death

The verse 2:28 addresses all humankind, denouncing their disbelief in Allah who gives life and takes it away,

“How can you reject Allah who has given you life after you were dead? He will cause you to die again then He will bring you back to life. To Him you shall return.

Denial or rejection of Allah after seeing all these manifest signs is certainly despicable and utterly unjustifiable. The Quran here faces humankind directly with facts they cannot deny or question. It refers to their life and the phases of human existence.

Allah brought man out of a state of death and gave him life. This transformation is a fact that cannot be ignored or denied, and can only be explained by acknowledging the creative power of Allah.

Life is not an illusion, but how has it come about?

Who has initiated this unique phenomenon we call life, which distinguishes the living from the dead in this world?

Life represents an extraordinary dimension that is the complete antithesis of death, but where does it originate?

Humankind has to face this question and answer it in a way that will satisfy man’s curiosity and put his heart and mind at rest. It is simply not enough to dismiss it or attribute life to anything other than a creative power that is itself very different from creation.

The immediate answer to this question is that life comes from Allah. Let those who dispute this come up with another answer.

The verse questions man’s denial of, and disbelief in, Allah “who has given you life after you were dead”.

How impertinent of man to reject Allah, the origin and the cause of life. It affirms that Allah “will cause you to die again”, a fact that is beyond dispute and of which we are constantly reminded.

It adds that “Allah will bring you back to life’’, which has been, and still is today, a matter for endless argument and debate. Yet, if people would only reflect on how man came to be in the first instance, there would be no reason for bewilderment or rejection of life after death.

“And to Him you shall return.” As it was from Him you have come, to Him you shall return, in total fulfilment of His will and purpose.

Thus, in one short verse, the whole book of life is opened and. closed. The whole story of man’s existence on this earth is reviewed. It begins, by the will of Allah, with a state of death and ends with death, after which Allah will restore life again, and the ultimate return thereafter shall be to Him from whom life originated. In this brief picture, we can visualize Allah’s awesome power and appreciate its deep impact on our hearts and minds.

The verses 2:28 in different translations:

QARIB:

How can you disbelieve Allah? Did he not give you life when you were dead, and he will cause you to die and then restore you to life? Then you will return to him.

SHAKIR:

How do you deny Allah and you were dead and he gave you life? Again, he will cause you to die and again bring you to life, then you shall be brought back to him

PICKTHAL:

How disbelieve ye in Allah when ye were dead and he gave life to you! Then he will give you death, then life again, and then unto him ye will return.

YUSUFALI:

How can ye reject the faith in Allah?- seeing that ye were without life, and he gave you life; then will he cause you to die, and will again bring you to life; and again to him will ye return.

Atheists in Quran (46) Historical Miracle

The first human beings worshiped Satan were the Waldenses, Vallenses or Vaudois; these are names for a Christian movement, which started in Lyon, France and spread soon to the Cottian Alps in the late 1170s. However, the Quran is the first book on the Earth that mention the fact that man one day will worship Satan. Is this Historical miracle is one of the many miracles of the Quran or what?

———————————

The verses 36:59-64 dwells on the scene of reckoning faced by the Atheists and unbelievers with all that it involves of criticism and blame. The verses say:

“But stand aside today, you guilty ones!

Children of Adam!

  • Did I not enjoin on you that you should not worship Satan, as he is your open foe?
  • And that You should worship Me alone? This is the straight path.
  • He (Satan) had already led astray a great many of you.
  • Could you not, then, use your reason?

This, then, is the hell that Our messengers were repeatedly warned you against:

Endure it today for your persistent rejection [of the truth].”

In these verses, we see that Scorn and Derision mark the dealing they receive.

At first, Allah commands them to stand aside, away from the believers.

Allah will say to them

  • Stand apart, O you sinners, guilty, unbelievers
  • Separate yourselves from the believers

Then, Allah addressed them as ‘Children of Adam,’ which is an address implying reproach.

“Children of Adam! Did I not enjoin on you that you should not worship Satan, as he is your open foe?”

Did I not charge you and command you, O children of Adam, by the tongues of My repeated messengers, and in the Scripture brought by the Messengers

  • That you should not worship Satan,
  • That you should not obey Satan
  • That Satan is a manifest enemy to you, one whose enmity is quite evident,

It was Satan who caused the expulsion of their father, Adam, from heaven. He has declared his permanent enmity to Adam and his children, yet they continue to worship him.

On the other hand, Children of Adam were enjoined to do something that was certain to set them on a straight path, leading to Allah’s pleasure and a happy end in the Afterlife:

“You should worship Me alone. This is the straight path.”

They are reminded that this enemy led astray many generations.

For verily Satan has led astray from a great multitude of people before you and from among you

Did you not know what Satan did to them, and hence avoid following their path?

Did you not use to comprehend his enmity and his misguidance?

Did you not use to comprehend the chastisements that befell them in the life of this world?

Moreover, Allah will say to them in the Hereafter:

This is Hell, which Allah’ messengers have promised you!

Burn therein today [as chastisement] for that which you used to reject!’

Burn therein today because of your denial of the Scriptures and the messengers.

Hence, the pretentious question for them:

“Could you not, then, use your reason?”

At the end of this very hard and humiliating position, the dreaded sentence continues, given in connotations of reproach and derision:

“This, then, is the hell that you were repeatedly warned against: endure it today for your persistent rejection of the truth.”

———————–

We know that Allah revealed the Quran unto the Prophet Muhammad via the great Angel Gabriel more than 1400 years ago.

At the time of the Prophet Muhammad, Humankind has never ever heard about worshipping of Satan.

As far as I know, the first human beings worshiped Satan were the Waldenses, Vallenses or Vaudois. Those are names for a Christian movement, which started in Lyon, France and spread soon to the Cottian Alps in the late 1170s.

In 1179, they gained the attention of the Church and were accused of worshipping Satan.

Hence, the Quran is the first book on the Earth that mention the fact that man one day will worship Satan.

Is this Historical miracle is one of the many miracles of the Quran or what?

———————————

The verses 36:59-64vin different translations:

QARIB:

59-(And he will say): ‘distance yourselves, o sinners, this day.

60-Children of Adam, did I not make a covenant with you, that you should not worship Satan he is surely a clear enemy to you

61-And that you worship me? Surely, that is the straight path.

62-Yet he has led many a host of you astray, did you not understand?

63-This, then is gehenna (hell), that which you were promised.

64-Roast well therein this day for you were unbelievers. ‘

SHAKIR:

59-And get aside today, o guilty ones!

60-did I not charge you, o children of Adam! That you should not serve the Shaitan? Surely, he is your open enemy,

61-And that you should serve me; this is the right way

62-And certainly he led astray numerous people from among you. What! Could you not then understand?

63-This is the hell with which you were threatened

64-Enter into it this day because you disbelieved

PICKTHAL:

59-But avaunt ye, o ye guilty, this day!

60-Did i not charge you, o ye sons of Adam, that ye worship not the devil – lo! He is your open foe! –

61-But that ye worship me? That was the right path.

62-Yet he hath led astray of you a great multitude. Had ye then no sense?

63-This is hell which ye were promised (if ye followed him).

64-Burn therein this day for that ye disbelieved.

YUSUFALI:

59-“And o ye in sin! Get ye apart this day!

60-“Did I not enjoin on you, o ye children of Adam, that ye should not worship Satan; for that he was to you an enemy avowed?-

61-“And that ye should worship me, (for that) this was the straight way?

62-“But he did lead astray a great multitude of you. Did ye not, then, understand?

63-“This is the hell of which ye were (repeatedly) warned!

64-“Embrace ye the (fire) this day, for that ye (persistently) rejected (truth).”

Atheists in Quran (43) when their Doubt Leads to Hell

In Surah 2, there is no doubt the Quran that it is Allah’s Book.

However, the Atheists and unbelievers are in doubt about it.

Well, if they are in doubt about the Quran, then produce only one Surah like it. If they do not do it, otherwise, this doubt will leads to the Eternal Hell in the Afterlife!

———————————

In the previous articles,

  1. Allah challenges the entire Humankind to produce a Quran like the one revealed and when they have failed,
  2. Allah challenged them to produce ten Surah similar to the Quran.  When the entire Humankind have failed,
  3. Allah challenges the entire Humankind to produce only ONE Surah similar to the Quran.

In this article, Surah 2 (chapter 2) of the Noble Quran puts the end of this unique linguistic Challenge

Surah 2 begins with Allah’s affirmation that the Quran is His book without any doubt; in it, there is guidance unto those who ward off Hell. (Verse 2:2)

The Creator, Exalted be He, knows that some of his arrogant creature have doubt about the Quran.

Allah knows that the Atheists and unbelievers claim that Muhammad forged the Quran and they are in doubt about the Quran.

In the verses 2:23-24 we have this strict clear-cut plan that is followed by severe warning

1)    If you are in doubt about the Quran, then produce only one Surah like it

2)    Seek the help of the entire humankind to help you in your work

3)    If you do not do it, and in fact you WILL NEVER Ever DO IT, then guard yourselves against the Hell whose fuel is people and stones, prepared for the Atheists and unbelievers.

Hence, the verse 2:23 put the end of the unique linguistic Challenge by stating that the Atheists + the unbelievers + humankind will never ever Challenge the Quran and they are unable to cope with the challenge and emulate even one Surah like it

The Atheists + the unbelievers + humankind cannot produce 15 Arabic words and produce a Surah like that present in the Quran!

This is the summary of the plan that is followed by severe warning

Now, let us discuss this risky issue calmly

“This is the Book; there is no doubt about it a guidance unto those who ward off Hell.” (Verse 2)

The key words in this statement are:

  • Doubt
  • Guidance
  • Hell

Guidance expresses the essence and the nature of the Quran.

But guidance for whom? Who are the people who will find that this Book provides them with light, direction and true counsel?

They are the Allah-fearing.

They fear Allah, submit, obey and Ward off Hell

Once a man’s heart is filled with the fear of Allah, he will benefit by the Quran. Fear and consciousness of Allah is the quality that opens one’s mind to the true guidance contained in the Quran and allows it to have its proper effect on one’s life.

Fear of Allah is the factor that causes one’s heart and mind to become sensitive and receptive to Allah’s guidance and enables one to respond to His call and His instruction.

Anyone seeking the benefit and Allahly wisdom of the Quran must approach it with an open mind and a pure heart. One must also approach it with perception and sensitivity, and with a determination not to fall by the wayside or be tempted away from Allah.

Then, and only then, will the marvels and treasures of the Quran be opened and revealed, and their light and wisdom will pour into this apprehensive, alert and welcoming heart.

Fear of Allah, then, is to have a sensitive conscience, clear feelings, a continuous concern, vigilance and alacrity, and a yearning for the correct path in life. It is a feeling that is ever alive, a feeling of being aware of life’s temptations and pitfalls; and the ambitions and hopes, and the worries and fears that come with it. It is a feeling of being able to discern false hopes and unwarranted fears that one associates with individuals or powers that could neither bring benefit nor cause harm.

A Divine Challenge

Allah puts a scientific plan for the Atheists and unbelievers

The Quran is challenging them all, as indeed it challenges humankind in general, saying:

“If you are in doubt as to what We have revealed to Our servant, then produce one Surah comparable to it and call upon all your witnesses, other than Allah, if what you say is true.” (Verse 23)

The challenge begins with emphasizing an important fact by describing the Prophet Muhammad as Allah’s ‘servant’. This description is significant in a number of ways: it is,

First, an honor to the Prophet himself and an indication that to be a ‘servant’ of Allah is the highest honor a human being can attain.

Second, it affirms the essence of servitude to Allah in the universal human context, calling on all men to submit only to Allah and renounce all partners that may be associated with Him.

The Prophet Muhammad, who attained the highest position of honor as a recipient of Allah’s Revelations, is also honored by being described as a servant of Allah.

The challenge = If they were in any doubt, they were free to produce anything, even one Surah, comparable to it, and they could seek the help of the entire humankind.

This challenge remained open throughout the Prophet’s life, and has done so ever since. The Quranic argument stands just as firmly today as it has through the centuries.

Thus, Allah’s words, and His warning, remain true:

“But if you fail, as you will certainly do, then guard yourselves against the fire, fuelled by men and stones, prepared for the unbelievers.” (Verse 24)

It is a remarkable challenge indeed, but what is even more remarkable is the absolute certainty with which it is made. Were any of the unbelieving Arabs able to take up the challenge, they would not have hesitated for a moment. The Quranic assertion of the futility of their task, and the endurance of that assertion, are in themselves manifest and irrefutable proof of its superior nature.

The opportunity remains wide open for anyone or any group to pick up the gauntlet and try their best to match the Quran and refute its claims of divinity and superiority.

However, this has not happened and, as the Quran clearly states, will never happen. That is the Quran’s final word for posterity.

Anyone with any real knowledge or appreciation of literary styles, or expertise in philosophy, psychology, social science, or any other science at all, will not fail to recognize that whatever the Quran has to say in any field of knowledge is something unique, unlike anything human beings would say. Argument over this fact can only arise from blind ignorance or sheer prejudice.

The stern warning to “guard yourselves against the fire, fuelled by men and stones” comes as no surprise to those who may fail in their challenge to Allah but persist, nevertheless, with their rejection of the truth.

The use of the word ‘stones’ here is fascinating.

This fire is prepared for the Atheists and unbelievers.

They are the ones who have failed to take up Allah’s challenge, and persisted, nevertheless, in their rejection of His message.

They are stone like, although they have a human form. Hence the connection between humans and stones in this verse. The expression amply conveys the horror of the awesome scene in which people and stones are both:

  • The fuel of the Fire
  • Consumed by Fire

Miserably, this is the doubt that leads to the Eternal Hell in the Afterlife!

———————————

The verse 2:2 in different translations:

QARIB:

That is the (holy) book, where there is no doubt. it is a guidance for the cautious (of evil and hell).

SHAKIR:

This book, there is no doubt in it, is a guide to those who guard (against evil)

PICKTHAL:

This is the scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off (evil).

YUSUFALI:

This is the book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah;

———————————

The verses 2:23-24 in different translations:

QARIB:

23- If you are in doubt of what we have sent down to our worshiper (prophet muhammad), produce a chapter comparable to it. call upon your helpers, other than Allah, to assist you, if you are true.

24- But if you fail, as you are sure to fail, then guard yourselves against the fire whose fuel is people and stones, prepared for the unbelievers.

SHAKIR:

23- And if you are in doubt as to that which we have revealed to our servant, then produce a chapter like it and call on your witnesses besides Allah if you are truthful

24- But if you do (it) not and never shall you do (it), then be on your guard against the fire of which men and stones are the fuel; it is prepared for the unbelievers

PICKTHAL:

23- And if ye are in doubt concerning that which we reveal unto our slave (Muhammad), then produce a surah of the like thereof, and call your witness beside Allah if ye are truthful.

24- And if ye do it not – and ye can never do it – then guard yourselves against the fire prepared for disbelievers, whose fuel is of men and stones.

YUSUFALI:

23- And if ye are in doubt as to what we have revealed from time to time to our servant, then produce a sura like thereunto; and call your witnesses or helpers (if there are any) besides Allah, if your (doubts) are true.

24- But if ye cannot- and of a surety ye cannot- then fear the fire whose fuel is men and stones,- which is prepared for those who reject faith.

Atheists in Quran (3) their heart disease

The Quran diagnoses the heart disease of the Atheists. Their hearts are puffed up with pride; they are arrogant, scorning and too proud to believe; Allah does not love those who are too proud to believe.

———————————

The meanings of the verses16:22-23, they say:

  • Your God is One God.
  • Your Almighty Creator is One.
  • The One deserving of your worship is One.
  • He is One without any equal
  • He is One without any similar
  • He is One without any comparable
  • He is Allah, exalted He be

Then the Quran diagnoses the heart disease of the Atheists; the Quran says:

However, the Atheists

  • Do not believe in resurrection after death
  • Do not believe in the Hereafter
  • Their hearts are rejecting of their Creator
  • Their hearts refuse to acknowledge Allah’s divine Oneness
  • They are arrogant, scorning to believe in Allah
  • They are too proud to believe in Allah

Assuredly, Allah knows

  • That which they keep hidden of hatred, resentful envy, plotting and treachery and
  • That which they proclaim of vilification, slander and violent confrontation.

Lo! Allah does not love the proud

Allah does not love those who are too proud to believe.

———————————

The verses 16:22-23 in different translations:

QARIB:

22- Your god is one god. Those who do not believe in the everlasting life their hearts disbelieve, and are puffed up with pride.

23- Allah knows without doubt what they hide and what they make known. he does not love the proud.

SHAKIR:

22- Your Allah is one Allah; so (as for) those who do not believe m the hereafter, their hearts are ignorant and they are proud

23- Truly, Allah knows what they hide and what they manifest; surely, he does not love the proud

PICKTHAL:

22- Your Allah is one Allah. But as for those who believe not in the hereafter their hearts refuse to know, for they are proud.

23- Assuredly, Allah knoweth that which they keep hidden and that which they proclaim. Lo! He loveth not the proud.

YUSUFALI:

22- Your Allah is one Allah: as to those who believe not in the hereafter, their hearts refuse to know, and they are arrogant.

23- Undoubtedly, Allah doth know what they conceal, and what they reveal: verily he loveth not the arrogant.

Angels in Islam (17) their speed is 98 billion times faster than the Speed of Light

The Angels speed is 97,766,160,000 Times faster than the Speed of Light and 977,616 Times faster than the Spooky Quantum Action.

————————————–

The speed of light is about 300,000 kilometers/second (it is exactly 299,792 kilometers/second)

So, if you travel with the speed of light, you can go from the Earth to the Moon in one second and from the Earth to the Sun in eight minutes.

However, the successful researches of NASA proved that the photons travel faster than the speed of light

A team of international scientists demonstrate Three-Way Quantum Communication that is faster than the Speed of Light.

Spooky (Ghostly) Quantum Action Is 10,000 Times Faster than Light

And this is –so far- the fastest speed ever known.

On the other hand, the most distant star that can be seen by man is the star Deneb

This star is located about 1550 light years away from Earth.

This distance = 1550 X 365 X 24 X 60 X 60 X 300,000 = 611,010,000,000,000 kilometers = 611 trillion kilometers

It is the most distant star man can ever see.

According to the Islamic teaching, Allah is far above all of His creatures and far above our our imagination, our mind, and our thoughts.

The star Deneb is one of Allah’s creatures.

It is well known that the Great Honored Angel, Gabriel (Gabriel (Jibreel)) is the messenger between Allah and the Prophet Muhammad; he used to convey the verses of the Quran from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad throughout a period of 23 years.

Hypothetically, if we assume that Gabriel is located nearby the star Deneb; then it was happened many times that an enquirer(s) had just completed a question to the Prophet and Gabriel would bring the answer from Allah in few seconds!

This happened may times; a man is asking the Prophet Muhammad and Gabriel brings the answer from Allah in few seconds (let us say in 5 seconds)

Then, the Hypothetical distance of 1550 light years away from Earth = 5 second by the Angels’ speed.

So, the Angels speed is far above our imagination, our mind, and our thoughts.

Accordingly, the Angels speed is 97,766,160,000 Times Faster than Light

And, the Angels speed is 977,616 Times faster than the Spooky Quantum Action

As a matter of fact, Gabriel – while he is above the Heavens nearby Allah – is more far away than the star Deneb.

This is one of many miraculous examples of Allah’s creation.

The verse 31:11 says according to different translations:

QARIB:

Such is the creation of Allah; now show me what, other than him, created! No, the harm doers are in clear error.

SHAKIR:

This is Allah’s creation, but show me what those besides him have created. Nay, the unjust are in manifest error

PICKTHAL:

This is the creation of Allah. Now show me that which those (ye worship) beside him have created. Nay, but the wrong-doers are in error manifest!

YUSUFALI:

Such is the creation of Allah: now show me what is there that others besides him have created: nay, but the transgressors are in manifest error.

This is Allah (56) has Moses aimed to expel Pharaoh from Egypt?

Pharaoh Said: Moses is a Knowing Wizard who is Proficient in Magic

Pharaoh Brought 70 Sorcerers to Outdo Moses in Magic

Was Pharaoh a Dictator or a Democratic Ruler?

The Quran declares that the Chiefs of the Council of any Dictator Say Nothing but Lies

The Quran Shows that any Dictator Loves the Corrupters and Makes Them Close to Him

Pharaoh (of Moses) Versus the Today Dictator

————————————-

Many people do not know Allah. This series (1-59) is an attempt to help them to know their Creator.

Verses 7:109-114 of the Noble Quran talk about:

1) Allah asks: Was the aim of Moses is to expel Pharaoh from Egypt?

2) Pharaoh said: Moses is a knowing wizard who is proficient in magic,

3) Pharaoh brought 70 sorcerers to outdo Moses in magic,

4) The Quran shows that any dictator loves the corrupters and makes them close to him and

5) Was Pharaoh a full-dictator or a half-dictator?

————————————-

In the previous articles (55)

Moses said: O Pharaoh! Lo! I am a messenger from Allah, the Lord of the Worlds to you,

Pharaoh said: You are lying!

Moses said: when talking in relation to Allah it is compulsory to say nothing but the truth. Truly I have come to you with a clear proof from your Lord. So send forth with me the Children of Israel.

Pharaoh Said: If you have come with a token, with a sign, as you claim, then produce it, if you are of those who speak the truth and if you are indeed a messenger.

Then Moses cast down, he flung down his staff and it was an enormous huge snake manifest for all to see,

And he drew forth his hand, he took it out from his bosom (armpit), and it was white, radiant and shining for the beholders. Then what?

————————————-

The meaning of verse 7:109

The chiefs of the council of Pharaoh’s people said: Lo! this is some knowing wizard who is proficient in wizardry. Surely this man is a cunning sorcerer, outstanding in the art of magic.

In verse 26:34, these are actually Pharaoh’s words, and so it is as if they said it in consultation with him.

Also, these words may be said by both, chiefs of the council of Pharaoh’s folk, and it seems likely that their saying sounded admirable at Pharaoh who repeated their words.

The meaning of verse 7:110

Then the chiefs of the council said:

The aim of this man (Moses) is to expel you from your land of Egypt.  This was not true, the aim of Moses was to take the children of Israel out of Egypt.  This verse shows that the chiefs of the council of any dictator say nothing but lies.

Then Pharaoh said:

Now what do you advise? What we should do concerning this matter?

The meaning of verse 7:111

They said unto Pharaoh: Put him (Moses) and his brother off a while, postpone any decision regarding their affair and do not kill them, and send into the cities soldiers (collectors, gatherers or summoners), why?

The meaning of verse 7:112

The chiefs of the council continued:

To bring you every cunning sorcerer, each knowing wizard who is proficient in wizardry to outdo Moses in the art of magic.

And so they summoned many of the knowing wizards.

Verse 7:109-112 show that Pharaoh who was one of the famous dictators in the history used to consult the chiefs of his council and to listen to them.  This indicates that Pharaoh may be considered as half-dictator in comparison to the today dictators who never listen or consult anyone.

The meaning of verse 7:113

And the sorcerers (the knowing wizards) who were 70 in number came to Pharaoh, and they said: Surely there will be a great reward, a big wages for us if we are victors against Moses.

The meaning of verse 7:114

Pharaoh answered: Yes of course you have that,

and surely you shall be of those brought near to me in status.

Verse 7:113-114 illustrate that the dictator (Pharaoh herein) loves the corrupters, gives them  reward, a big wages and makes them close to him.

————————————-

The Verses 7:109-114 in different English translations of the meanings of Arabic Quran:

QARIB:

109) The assembly of pharaoh’s nation said: ‘this man is a wellversed sorcerer

110) Who seeks to drive you from your land what do you command? ‘

111) Others said: ‘put them off a while, he and his brother, and send forth to your cities gatherers

112) To summon every wellversed sorcerer to you. ‘

113) The sorcerers came to pharaoh. they said: ‘shall we be rewarded if we are the winners? ‘

114) ‘Yes, ‘ he answered, ‘and you will be among those near. ‘

SHAKIR:

109) The chiefs of firon’s people said: most surely this is an enchanter possessed of knowledge:

110) He intends to turn you out of your land. what counsel do you then give?

111) They said: put him off and his brother, and send collectors into the cities:

112) That they may bring to you every enchanter possessed of knowledge

113) And the enchanters came to firon (and) said: we must surely have a reward if we are the prevailing ones

114) He said: yes, and you shall certainly be of those who are near (to me)

PICKTHAL:

109) The chiefs of pharaoh’s people said: lo! this is some knowing wizard,

110) Who would expel you from your land. now what do ye advise?

111) They said (unto pharaoh): put him off (a while) – him and his brother – and send into the cities summoners,

112) To bring each knowing wizard unto thee.

113) And the wizards came to pharaoh, saying: surely there will be a reward for us if we are victors.

114) He answered: yes, and surely ye shall be of those brought near (to me).

YUSUFALI:

109) Said the chiefs of the people of pharaoh: “this is indeed a sorcerer well-versed.

110) “His plan is to get you out of your land: then what is it ye counsel?”

111) They said: “keep him and his brother in suspense (for a while); and send to the cities men to collect-

112) And bring up to thee all (our) sorcerers well-versed.”

113) So there came the sorcerers to pharaoh: they said, “of course we shall have a (suitable) reward if we win!”

114) He said: “yea, (and more),- for ye shall in that case be (raised to posts) nearest (to my person).”

In Quran, Allah sent a Prophet to every nation

It is interesting that the Bible which is a historical book declares that all the Prophets sent by the Lord God were Israelites who were in the area of Iraq, Palestine and Egypt.  On the other hand, the Quran which is not a historical book challenges the Historians and declares that Allah sent a Prophet to every ancient nation.  Hence, the Historian have to find out who are the prophets sent to America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Australia.

—————————————

The Bible talks about the Pre-Flood Era and the Increasing Corruption on Earth which provoked God’s wrath so that He flooded the earth.  The Bible says:

When man began to multiply on the face of the Earth and daughters were born to them, the Sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they married them.

Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, his days shall be 120 years. The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the Sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.

The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the LORD was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. So the LORD said, “I will wipe off man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.”  But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.

Herein, there are some points; they are:

1)    Why only daughters were born unto man?

2)    Who are the Sons of God and how many they were?

3)    Also, nothing can or could, will or would grieve Allah.  Also, Allah has no heart; He is not like us or like anything else.

4)    Is man’s age 120 years as the Lord God has decided?

5)    Allah never ever repents of anything He did, He does and/or He will do.

6)    Moreover, although the Biblical God has Spirit, Allah has no Spirit; He is not like us.

7)    In addition, although the Biblical God has heart (and blood vessels and blood consequently), Allah has no heart; He is not like us or like anything else.

On the other hand, the Quran does not talk about the Increasing Corruption on Earth in the Pre-Flood Era, but it talks about the corruption of mankind from the time of creation of man up till now.  After Adam’s fall, Allah gave him and his offspring consequently an advice (Verses 20:121-123 and verses 2:38-39); hereupon, Allah sent Prophets to every nation on the Earth and He ends the Prophethood with the last Prophet, Muhammad (Verses 43:6-7 and verses 35:24-25).

After Adam’s fall, Allah gave him and his offspring consequently an advice

The meanings of the verses 20:121-123

And Adam disobeyed his Lord and so he erred, by [his] eating from the tree.

Then his Lord chose him, He brought him close [to Him], and relent to him,

Then Allah chose him, He accepted his repentance, overlooked his sin and guided him to seek repentance regularly.

[N.B., In the Bible, the Lord has not accepted Adam’s repentance; that is why He sent his son to the Earth.]

And Allah said, ‘Go down both of you, that is, Adam and Eve, including all of your progeny, from it, from the Garden, all together, some of you, some of the progeny, being enemies of others, because of some wronging others. Yet if there should come to you guidance (a Scripture, a Messenger, and/ or a Prophet) from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, shall not go astray in the life of this world nor come to grief in the Hereafter.

The meanings of the verses 2:38-39

Allah said to Adam, Eve, and Satan, ‘Go down from the Heaven, all together. Then Allah mentioned Adam’s progeny, from hence; when and whenever it comes to you, from Me a guidance, whoever follows My guidance, believing in me and performing deeds in obedience of Me, no fear shall befall them, neither shall they grieve, in the Hereafter, since they will be admitted into Paradise.

But those who disbelieve, and deny our guidance, they will be the rightful owners of the Eternal Fire; they will abide therein forever, they will remain perpetually in hell: never to die or be released from it.

Allah sent Prophets to every nation on the Earth and He ends the Prophethood with the last Prophet, Muhammad

The meanings of the verses 43:6-7

Allah asks the Historian this Question

And how many a prophet did Allah send among the ancients!  O Muhammad, Allah knew that they would not believe, but Allah nonetheless did not leave the bygone nations without messengers and Scriptures!  And never came to these past nations a Prophet but they used to mock their Prophets, in the same way that your people deride you O Muhammad.

It follows that, in contrary to the Bible which states that all the Prophets were Israelites, every ancient nation had its own Prophet; the historians and researchers have to dig through the history to explore the prophets sent to America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Australia.

It should be emphasized that Allah sent a Prophet (Idris); the scholar said that he was an Egyptian Prophet sent to the Ancient Egypt before the Flood (Verses 19:56-57). Idris is not mentioned in the Bible.

The meanings of the verses 35:24-25

Lo! Allah has sent you O Muhammad with the Truth, with the Quran, as a bearer of glad tidings, announcing Paradise for whoever believes in Allah, and as a Warner from the Fire for whoever disbelieves in Allah; and there is not a nation except that they had a warning messenger. In other words, there is not a nation or a community before you O Muhammad but a Warner has passed among them to warn them.

And if they deny you O Muhammad, those before them also denied their messengers who brought them manifest signs, miracles and with scriptures.  In other words, the messengers before Muhammad came unto their nations with clear proofs of Allah’s Sovereignty; they came to them with commands, prohibitions and signs, and with the Scripture expositing the lawful and the unlawful.

The Bible (King James Version)

Genesis 6:1-7

1) And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2) That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3) And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4) There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

5) And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6) And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

7) And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

8But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Verses 35:24-25

24) Lo! We have sent thee with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings and a Warner; and there is not a nation but a Warner hath passed among them.

25) And if they deny thee, those before them also denied. Their messengers came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah’s sovereignty), and with the psalms and the scripture giving light.

121) … and Adam disobeyed his lord, so went astray.

122)  Then his lord chose him, and relented toward him, and guided him.

123)  He said: go down hence, both of you, one of you a foe unto the other. But when there come unto you from me guidance, then whoso followeth my guidance, he will not go astray nor come to grief.

Verses 2:38-39

38) We said: go down, all of you, from hence; but verily there cometh unto you from me guidance; and whoso followeth my guidance, there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve.

Back to my question to the smart and interested reader:

Are the Scholars truthful when they claim that the Quran quoted from the Bible?

Allah’s Oneness (1) the unique name Allah

The unique phenomenon of the name Allah:

In Arabic, the name Allah is composed of four characters; they are: Aleph, Lam, Lam and Haa,

Allah is pronounced as “Allahu” when comes at the beginning of a sentence.

The name Allah is the Great name of the Lord, the Almighty Creator of this cosmos.
The name Allah is mentioned in the Quran 1567 times
God is mentioned in the Bible 3877 times.
The unique linguistic phenomenon of the name Allah:
The name Allah is a unique name which is quite different from the name God.
From the linguistic point of view, the name Allah can give the same meaning if we use:
• All of its four Arabic characters  الله
• Three Arabic characters ”
لله
• Two Arabic characters ”
له
• Or its last Arabic character ”
ه

To illustrate this unique phenomenon:
If we say Allah” الله”; it means the Great name of the Lord, the Almighty Creator.
If we deduct, subtract or take away the first letter Aleph, then we get three Characters (Lam, Lam and Haa)” لله“which is pronounced as: Lillah and means: To Allah.
If we deduct the first two letters Aleph and Lam, then we get two Characters (Lam and Haa)” له” which is pronounced as: Lahu and also means: To him (to Allah).
If we deduct the first three letters Aleph, Lam and Lam then we get only one Character; the last one (Haa)” ه” which is pronounced as: hu and it means: Him.

This unique linguistic phenomenon indicates that the name Allah can give the same meaning by using all of its four characters, three characters, two Characters or one character.
The name God does not have this phenomenon; which is not applicable for any name but Allah.
God is the one Supreme Being, the creator and ruler of the universe.
If we deduct the character G, we will get od
Od in dictionary means:
An imaginary force which in the past detained to include all environment and to manifest itself in magnetism, mesmerism, chemical action, etc.
Also, od means a person who has taken an overdose of a drug, esp. one who has become seriously ill or has died from such an overdose.
And it means also, to die from an overdose of a drug.
If we deduct the characters G and O, we will get d which is the fourth letter of the English alphabet, and it is used as a contraction of had, did and should.
