Angels in Islam (2) of what they are created?

Angels are an important part of the world of the “Unseen” which we cannot see.

Jinn are also part of the world of the “Unseen” which we cannot see.

It is said that it is not possible for humans to see the jinn unless they appear in a different form, such as in the form of humans and animals.

The angels cannot be seen in their original form by most people unless they appear in human form.

In order to disclose the facts about the Angels:

§  Allah has told us about them in many places in the Quran.

§  The Prophet Muhammad (1) has told us about them in many Hadith (2)

If you know the facts about the angels, you will realize the greatness of the Almighty Creator and the greatness of Islam which has told us so much about them.

The Angels and Jinn are two important creatures in the world of the “Unseen”

Of what the Angels are created?
The Angels are created from light.

It is narrated that Aishah (3) reported: “The Messenger of Allah (1) said: ‘The angels are created from light, just as the jinn are created from smokeless fire and mankind is created from what you have been told about.”
So, we have three important creatures:

1. The unseen Angels and they are created of light.

2. The unseen Jinn and they are created of smokeless fire

3. Human beings and they are created of the dust and clay of the Earth.

Both, Jinn and Man have the free will to do what is good and what is bad.

The Angels have also will but their will goes only in one direction that is to obey and to satisfy their Almighty Creator.

(1) When a Muslim mentions the last Prophet Muhammad, it is recommended to say: peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

(2) Hadith is the saying of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

(3) Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) is the wife of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

What Professor Gerald C. Goeringer says about the Quran?

Upon reading few verses of the Quran, Professor Dr Gerald C. Goeringer speculated whether in the history of embryology was there any mention of the different stages of embryonic development, or whether there existed any embryological texts at the time of the Prophet Muhammad.

Upon reading few verses (ayah) of the Noble Quran, Professor Dr Gerald C. Goeringer speculated whether in the history of embryology was there any mention of the different stages of embryonic development, or whether there existed any embryological texts at the time of the Prophet Muhammad.

Dr Gerald C. Goeringer is a Course Director and Professor and coordinator of Medical Embryology at the Department of Cell Biology, School of Medicine, Georgetown University, Washington, DC, USA.

During the Eighth Saudi Medical Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Professor Goeringer stated the following in the presentation of his research paper:

“In a relatively few ayah (Quranic verses) is contained a rather comprehensive description of human development from the time of commingling of the gametes through organogenesis.  No such distinct and complete record of human development, such as classification, terminology, and description, existed previously.  In most, if not all, instances, this description antedates by many centuries the recording of the various stages of human embryonic and foetal development recorded in the traditional scientific literature.”

Here you are the Quranic verses that made Professor Dr Gerald C. Goeringer astonished!

The verses 23:12-14 in the four available translations

QARIB:

We created the human from an essence of clay: then we made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). Then we created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and we created the clot into bite size tissue, then we created the bite size tissue into bones, then we clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it another creation. Blessed is Allah, the best of creators!

SHAKIR:

And certainly we created man of an extract of clay, then we made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, then we made the seed a clot, then we made the clot a lump of flesh, then we made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then we clothed the bones with flesh, then we caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators.

PICKTHAL:

Verily we created man from a product of wet earth; then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; then fashioned we the drop a clot, then fashioned we the clot a little lump, then fashioned we the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the best of creators!

YUSUFALI:

Man we did create from a quintessence (of clay); then we placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; then we made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot we made a (fetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. so blessed be Allah, the best to create!

In Bible vs. Quran, Jesus denied that He is God (7) His own authority

In the Bible, the Lord Jesus said that He cannot do anything on His own authority. In the Quran, the Lord Jesus said I heal the blind, and the leper, and raise the dead to life by the permission of Allah.

———————————————

The verse John 5:30 determined how Jesus did his miracles.

The Lord Jesus (Peace be upon Him) said that He cannot do anything on His Own.

I will show you (in the appendix) how the editors of 38 different Bible’s versions understand, express and present the Lord Jesus’ saying.

Here, Jesus said that He cannot do anything on His own authority.

This indicates that there is a Supreme Higher Authority which commanded Jesus to do what He has done.

What were the Acts of the Lord Jesus?

Indeed, the Lord Jesus did many miracles, He used to heal the diseased, to cure the blind and the leper etc. and to raise the dead to life.

The question to our Lord Jesus is: Could you our Lord do all of that on your own authority?

The Lord Jesus replies plainly: “I cannot do anything on my own authority”

But, what is the Higher Authority which commanded Jesus to do what He did.

Do not waste your time searching the Bible to get the answer of this crucial question; the Bible will not reply.

Well, let us see what the Quran says about this decisive point.

The verse 3:49 of the Quran according to Pickthal translation:

“And will make him a messenger unto the children of Israel, (saying): lo! I come unto you with a sign from your Lord. Lo! I fashion for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, and I breathe into it and it is a bird, by Allah’s leave. I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I raise the dead, by Allah’s leave. And I announce unto you what ye eat and what ye store up in your houses. Lo! Herein verily is a portent for you, if ye are to be believers”.

You may have noticed that the above verse adds more miracles that have done by the Lord Jesus (Peace be upon Him) which are not present in the Bible.

———————————————

Appendix: Study of 38 different Bible’s versions shows how the editors of these versions understand, express and present what the Lord Jesus said in the verse John 5:30 of the Bible:

■ “I cannot do anything of myself “or “I can do nothing by Myself”(in 13 versions).

■ “I can do nothing on My own “or “I cannot do anything on my own”(in 11 versions).

■ “I am able to do nothing from myself”(in four versions).

■ “I can do nothing on my own authority”(in two versions)

■ “I cannot do anything on my own authority”(in two versions).

■ “I can do nothing on My own initiative”(in two versions).

■ “I can do nothing alone”(in two versions).

■ “I can’t do a solitary thing on my own”(in one version).

■ “I have no right to do anything myself”(in one version).

This is Allah (25) Allah has given you power you give little thanks

Allah told the Angels to Prostrate before Adam for salutation

Who was the First Historically disobeyed Allah; Satan or Adam?

Is Satan better than Adam?

The Pride of Satan was the first Sin in the History

—————————————————————-

Many people do not know Allah. This series is an attempt to help them in order to know and acknowledge their Creator.

Verses 7:10-13 of the Noble Quran talk about:

1) Allah has given you power in the earth and you give little thanks,

2)Allah told the Angels to Prostrate before Adam for greeting,

3)Iblis (Satan) was the First Historically disobeyed Allah, and

4) When Satan said that he is better than Adam? And

5) The Pride of Satan was the first Sin in the History

—————————————————————-

The meaning of verse 7:10

And Allah has given you O mankind power in the earth, and appointed for you therein in the earth a livelihood that from which you eat, drink and clothe yourselves. Little give you thanks! you do not give thanks for what is great nor for the small; it is also said that this means: you give little thanks for all that is done for you.

In other words, Allah has given you power, O Children of Adam, in the earth, and have appointed for you therein livelihoods, that is, the means by which you are able to subsist; however, little thanks you show, for this.

The meaning of verse 7:11

And Allah created you from Adam and Adam is from dust, then fashioned you in wombs, and when Allah fashioned Adam between He told the angels: Fall ye prostrate before Adam; a prostration of greeting!

And they fell prostrate, all save Iblis.

Iblis was not of those who make prostration to Adam.

In other words, Allah created your father Adam, then said to the angels: ‘Prostrate yourselves before Adam!’, a prostration that is a bow of salutation. So they fell prostrate, all save Iblis, the father of the jinn, who was among the angels, he refused to make prostration.

This verse shows that Iblis, Satan, was the first creature which disobeyed Allah.

Iblis was not an Angel, he is the father of jinn.

Jinn are invisible creatures which live like us, they eat and marry etc.  Jinn like mankind are commanded to worship Allah and to obey His Law.

The meaning of verse 7:12

Allah, exalted be He, said, ‘What prevented you from falling prostrate  when I commanded you, when I bade you to prostrate? Iblis(Satan) said, ‘I am better than him. You created me from fire, while him You created from clay; I am made of fire while he is made of mud, and fire devours mud.

The meaning of verse 7:13

Allah said to him: Then go down hence! go down from heaven; it is also said this means: come out of angelic form. It is not for thee, you ought not to show pride here, demonstrate pride, in the form of an angel, to the Children of Adam, so go forth! leave your angelic form; it is also said that this means: go forth from the earth;

Lo! you are art of those degraded, you are of those who are humiliated in that you are punished.

In other words, Allah said to Satan: ‘Then go down from it, that is, from the Garden  it is also said, go down from the heavens; it is not, right, for you to show pride here, so go forth, out of it! Surely you are among the abased!’, the contemptible!

Verses 7:10-13in different English translations of the meanings of Arabic Quran:

QARIB:

10) We established you in the earth and made for you a livelihood but little is it that you give thanks.

11) We created you then we shaped you, then we said to the angels: ‘prostrate yourselves before Adam. ‘ they all prostrated themselves except Iblis he was not among the prostrated.

12) He (Allah) asked: ‘what prevented you to prostrate, when i commanded you? ‘ ‘i am better than he, ‘ he replied. ‘you created me of fire and you created him of clay. ‘

13) He (Allah) said: ‘descend from it! this is no place for you to be proud. begone, you are of the humiliated. ‘

SHAKIR:

10) And certainly we have established you in the earth and made in it means of livelihood for you; little it is that you give thanks

11) And certainly we created you, then we fashioned you, then we said to the angels: prostrate to Adam. so they did prostrate except Iblis; he was not of those who prostrated

12) He said: what hindered you so that you did not prostrate when i commanded you? he said: i am better than he: thou hast created me of fire, while him thou didst create of dust

13) He said: then get forth from this (state), for it does not befit you to behave proudly therein. go forth, therefore, surely you are of the abject ones

PICKTHAL:

10) And we have given you (mankind) power in the earth, and appointed for you therein livelihoods. little give ye thanks!

11) And we created you, then fashioned you, then told the angels: fall ye prostrate before Adam! and they fell prostrate, all save Iblis, who was not of those who make prostration.

12) He said: what hindered thee that thou didst not fall prostrate when i bade thee? (Iblis) said: i am better than him. thou createdst me of fire while him thou didst create of mud.

13) He said: then go down hence! it is not for thee to show pride here, so go forth! lo! thou art of those degraded.

YUSUFALI:

10) It is we who have placed you with authority on earth, and provided you therein with means for the fulfillment of your life: small are the thanks that ye give!

11) It is we who created you and gave you shape; then we bade the angels prostrate to Adam, and they prostrate; not so Iblis; he refused to be of those who prostrate.

12) (Allah) said: “what prevented thee from prostrating when i commanded thee?” he said: “i am better than he: thou didst create me from fire, and him from clay.”

13) (Allah) said: “get thee down from this: it is not for thee to be arrogant here: get out, for thou art of the meanest (of creatures).”

Chapter 6 of the Quran (1) Allah is the oft-forgiving

Although the creation of heavens and the earth is one of the proofs of Allah’s Oneness; however, the disbelievers deny the Resurrection. Nevertheless, the One who has initiated your creation is even more capable of bringing you back to life after death.

——————————————————————————————-

Chapter six of the Quran is composed of 165 Ayah.

Ayah is an Arabic word that means verse in English; however, the meaning of Ayah is superior to verse.

A verse means a single metrical line in a poetic composition; one line of poetry. Ayah means a sign that indicates the presence of a Supreme Doer.

Chapter six begins with praising Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and it ends with the fact that Allah is indeed oft-forgiving and most merciful.

In this new series, Chapter six is exhibited Ayah by Ayah.

Ayah 1 says:

All praise and gratitude were to Allah who created the heavens and the earth and He appointed and created the darknesses and light. Although the creation of heavens and the earth is one of the proofs of His Oneness; however, the disbelievers ascribe equals to their Creator, they worship others equally.

Ayah 2 says:

It is Allah Who created you from clay i.e. from Adam and Adam was created from clay.

Then He decreed a term, for each of you, at the conclusion of which you die.

Each term for each of you, is stated, fixed with Him, for your resurrection;

Yet after that you, O disbelievers, doubt, you were uncertain about the Resurrection.

But, the fact is that, the One who has initiated your creation is even more capable of bringing you back to life after death.

Allah knows the term of the Hereafter: therein there is no death or evanescence.

————————————————————

The verses 6:1-2 in different translations:

QARIB:

1) Praise is due to Allah, who has created the heavens and the earth and made darkness and light. Yet the unbelievers make (others) equal with their lord.

2) It is he who has created you from clay. He has decreed a term for you and another one set with him. Yet you were still in doubt.

SHAKIR:

1) All praise is due to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light; yet those who disbelieve set up equals with their lord

2) He it is who created you from clay, then he decreed a term; and there is a term named with him; still you doubt.

PICKTHAL:

1) Praise be to Allah, who hath created the heavens and the earth, and hath appointed darkness and light. yet those who disbelieve ascribe rivals unto their lord.

he it is who hath created you from clay, and hath decreed a term for you. a term is fixed with him. Yet still ye doubt!

YUSUFALI:

1) Praise be Allah, who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darkness and the light. yet those who reject faith hold (others) as equal, with their guardian-lord.

2) he it is created you from clay, and then decreed a stated term (for you). And there is in his presence another determined term; yet ye doubt within yourselves!
