Atheists in Quran (40) the Challenge they could not cope with

In the previous article, Allah challenges the entire Humankind to produce a Quran like the one revealed.

In this article, Allah challenges the entire Humankind to produce ten Surah similar to the Quran

However, the Atheists could not cope with this intellectual Linguistic challenge.

———————————

The meanings of the verses 11:13-14:

The Atheists often claimed that the Quran was a forgery, invented by the Prophet Muhammad.

Allah commanded His Prophet to challenge them to produce ten Surah similar to the Quran, and to that end, they are able to seek the help of whomever they like

“If they say: We has invented it,’ say: ‘Produce, then, ten invented Surah like it, and call for help on all you can other than Allah, if what you say is true.’”

Herein, the Quran narrows down this intellectual Linguistic challenge from the entire Quran to ten Surah.

In the previous article, we have seen that the Orientalists might have been disabled to face the challenge because the Quran is composed of 114 Surah (Chapter); however, what about ten Surah?

See the next article.

The challenge was once to produce a Quran like the one revealed. Herein, it required them to produce ten Surah.

The purpose was to challenge them to produce anything like the Quran, in full or in part.

“And call for help on all you can other than Allah, if what you say is true.”

The challenge included anyone they cared to call to their aid as:

  • Their deities, which they worship,
  • Their premium poets
  • Those who have the best literary talents.
  • The Orientalists

Call on everyone you can seek the help, even call on the entire Humankind if to help you if you are truthful in your claim

To prove their allegation that Muhammad invented the Quran; all they had to do is to produce ten Surah like those of the Quran.

However, all the help you seek will produce nothing.

Then it should be enough for you to come to know the truth of revelation

“If they do not respond to you, “know that the Quran has been bestowed from on High with Allah’s knowledge.””

Allah alone has the ability to bestow the Quran.

Only His knowledge could have produced it the way it is.

They must also realize “that there is no deity other than Him.”

This is the net result of the inability of their helpers to help compose ten Surah similar to those Allah revealed.

The self-evident conclusion then is:

  • There is only one God, Allah,
  • Allah only is able to reveal such a Scripture.

Having stated this fact, which does not admit any contradiction, the verse concludes with a question, which allows for only one answer, unless it be by those who stubbornly refuse to admit the evident.

The question is:

“Will you then submit yourselves to Allah?”

If they, that is, those on whom you call for assistance, do not answer you, know that there is no God save Allah.

Will you then submit and believe?

———————————

The verses 11:13-14 in different translations:

QARIB:

13- Or do they say: ‘he has forged it? ‘Say (to them): ‘then produce ten forged chapters like it. Call, if you are able, upon other than Allah, if what you say is true. ‘

14- But if they do not answer you, know that it has been sent down with the knowledge of Allah, and that there is no god except he. So, have you surrendered (become Muslims)?

SHAKIR:

13- Or, do they say: he has forged it. Say: then bring ten forged chapters like it and call upon whom you can besides Allah, if you are truthful

14- But if they do not answer you, then know that it is revealed by Allah’s knowledge and that there is no god but he; will you then submit?

PICKTHAL:

13- Or they say: he hath invented it. say: then bring ten Surah, the like thereof, invented, and call on everyone ye can beside Allah, if ye are truthful!

14- And if they answer not your prayer, then know that it is revealed only in the knowledge of Allah; and that there is no Allah save him. Will ye then be (of) those who surrender?

YUSUFALI:

13- Or they may say, “he forged it,” say, “bring ye then ten Surah forged, like unto it, and call (to your aid) whomsoever ye can, other than Allah!- if ye speak the truth!

14- “If then they (your false gods) answer not your (call), know ye that this revelation is sent down (replete) with the knowledge of Allah, and that there is no god but he! Will ye even then submit (to Islam)?”

Atheists in Quran (38) a Biology Challenge for them

In this article, the Quran challenges, with a great BiologicalChallenge, not only the Atheists but also the entire Humankind on the face of the Earth. Moreover, since the challenge is not yet accepted, the Quran tells the Atheists and disbelievers: you have no right to be proud since you are as weak as flies.

———————————

The Quran is the first book on the face of Earth that challenges the Entire Humankind with a great Scientific Contest that is valid until now and shamefully none accepted it.

How ScientificallyDeficit are Human beings?

The verse 22:73 makes an influential, universal declaration that all the deities, which people worship and appeal for help are weak and powerless. The Quran presents an active and fascinating scene to illustrate their weakness:

O Humankind. An aphorism is set forth; hearken, then, Listen to it.

“Those beings whom you invoke instead of Allah cannot create a fly, even though they were to join all their forces to that end. If a fly robs them of anything, they cannot rescue it from the fly! Weak indeed is the seeker, and weak the sought!” (Verse 73)

The address herein is universal, it includes everyone anywhere in the world, and the declaration is loud and clear: “Humankind!”

When people gathered to listen, they are told that they are about to be given a statement of a general principle, not a particular case applicable on a certain occasion.

“An aphorism is set forth; hearken, then, listen to it.”

It is a statement of addressing fact that is applied in all situations

“Those beings whom you invoke instead of Allah cannot create a fly, even though they were to join all their forces to that end.”

All false deities, whether they be

  • Idols
  • Statues,
  • Human beings,
  • Traditions,
  • Values,
  • Animals
  • Sun
  • Moon
  • Planets
  • Stars
  • Desire as in case of Atheists,
  • Ego as in case of Atheists,
  • Etc.

All false deities, to whom you appeal for support and with whom you seek to achieve satisfaction, victory and high esteem, are incapable of creating a fly, even if they:

  • Muster all their forces,
  • Utilize all their knowledge and machines and
  • Conduit all their resources into one supreme effort.

In general, creation of living creature is impossible for anyone other than Allah.

Indeed, the creation of a mere fly, that small and abject creature, challenges all the harnessed powers of such false gods.

Creating a fly is just as impossible as creating a camel or an elephant, because the fly also demonstrates the great secret of life.

Hence, the Quran places a fly on the same level as camels and elephants, with regard to its miraculous creation.

The Quranic aphorism, however, cites the case of a little, insignificant fly in order to generate a more profound feeling of powerlessness.

The verse adds another dimension in describing their powerlessness:

“If a fly robs them of anything, they cannot rescue it from him!”

False deities, be they idols, humans or Ego cannot retrieve anything from a fly when it robs them of it. Flies can rob people of that which is precious indeed. At the same time, a fly carries microbes of some very serious diseases, such as tuberculosis, typhoid, dysentery and conjunctivitis. It can deprive a person of his eyes or other organs, or indeed deprive him of his life.

A weak and contemptible fly can rob a human being of what he can never retrieve.

Here again you realize how the Quran uses Scientific facts in the most effective way.

This effective image affirming a clear aphorism concludes with a simple comment:

“Weak indeed is the seeker, and weak the sought!”

This comment further emphasizes the effects generated by the verse as a whole.

At this moment when we realize how weak and contemptible these false deities are, the verse 22:74 condemns the unbelievers for their defective concept of Allah, clearly stating Allah’s power:

“No true understanding of Allah have they. Allah is certainly Most Powerful, Almighty.”

  • They do not esteem Allah with the esteem He deserves
  • They do not magnify Allah, as He deserves to be magnified
  • No one knows His measure save He.
  • No one can recognize Him as is worthy of Him save He

How could they understand Allah, as He really is, when they associate with Him such powerless deities that cannot even create a fly?

What understanding of Allah have they, when they see His highly sophisticated creation and yet they consider as equal to Him beings that cannot create even a little fly?

They even invoke such powerless creatures which cannot retrieve anything flies take away from them, instead of invoking Allah.

This is a damning comment at a point that should arouse feelings of submission to Allah alone.

Now, why Allah choose a fly not a camel in this Scientific Challenge?

The Arabs used a fly to express ignorance; they used to say in their parables, “this is more ignorant than a fly”

Therefore, this Scientific Challenge told the Atheists among the Arabs “do not be more ignorant than a fly.

Nevertheless, this Scientific Challenge is still valid for not only the Atheists but for the entire Humankind on the face of the Earth.

———————————

The verses 22:73-74 in different translations:

QARIB:

73- People, this is a parable, listen to it. Those whom you call upon, other than Allah, could never create a fly, though they banded together to do this. And if a fly robs them of anything, they could never rescue it from it. The seeker and the sought are alike in their weakness.

74- They do not value Allah as he should be valued. For Allah is powerful and mighty.

SHAKIR:

73- O people! a parable is set forth, therefore listen to it: surely those whom you call upon besides Allah cannot create fly, though they should all gather for it, and should the fly snatch away anything from them, they could not take it back from i weak are the invoker and the invoked

74- They have not estimated Allah with the estimation that i due to him; most surely, Allah is strong, mighty

PICKTHAL:

73- O mankind! a similitude is coined, so pay ye heed to it: lo! Those on whom ye call beside Allah will never create a fly though they combine together for the purpose. And if the fly took something from them, they could not rescue it from it. so weak are (both) the seeker and the sought!

74- They measure not Allah his rightful measure. lo! Allah is strong, almighty.

YUSUFALI:

73- O men! Here is a parable set forth! Listen to it! Those on whom, besides Allah, ye call, cannot create (even) a fly, if they all met together for the purpose! And if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. Feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition!

74- No just estimate have they made of Allah: for Allah is he who is strong and able to carry out his will.

Atheists in Quran (35) they are hasty

The Atheists try to hasten the punishment against which the Prophet Muhammad warns them. Sarcastically, they say, ‘When will this promise of resurrection and chastisement be fulfilled, if you are truthful O Muhammad?

The Quran says that 1) Man is a creature of haste; he is so hasty in his affairs and 2) Verily, messengers before you O Muhammad were derided but those who mocked them were encircled by the chastisement, which they used to deride; likewise, it shall befall those who have derided you.

———————————

The Arabs at the time of the Prophet Muhammad were one of two:

The unbelievers deny the existence of One God and they used to worship many idols as gods

The Atheists who deny the existence of any god

Both groups deny the Resuscitation, the Day of Judgment and the Afterlife

They deny the very existence of Allah, the Most Merciful, who has created the universe and set the rules that operate in it and sustain its existence.

Herein, a likely dispute is expected.

Allah’s Messenger Muhammad speaks out against their deities, showing such inanimate idols to be useless.

On the other hand, The Atheists and unbelievers rudely deny Allah and they hurl abuse and mockery at Allah’s Messenger, saying that it is unacceptable that he should criticize their idol worship. They find nothing wrong with the arrogance that leads them to

Deny Allah’s existence,

Deny Allah’s Messenger and

Reject Allah’s revelation, the Quran.

The sarcasm of their attitude exposes to the full the far- reaching corruption that affects their nature and impairs their judgment.

Whenever they see you O Muhammad, they take you in derision and pick you out for mockery

What is more stupid of them?

They try to hasten the punishment against which the Prophet warns them.

They say, ‘When will this promise of resurrection and chastisement be fulfilled, if you are truthful O Muhammad?

Man is a creature of haste; he is so hasty in his affairs

Haste is present in man’s very nature and constitution.

He always stretches his eyes to what lies ahead, beyond the present moment, aiming to grasp it with his own hand. He wants to achieve, the moment it flashes in his mind, all that seems desirable. He wants to see all that is promised to him, even though it may be to his damage. Such is man’s nature, unless he establishes a firm relationship with Allah, which gives him strength and reassurance. He will then trust to Allah’s wisdom, leaving His will to run its course without hastening events. For faith combines trust with patience and reassurance.

Those unbelievers hastened Allah’s punishment, wondering when the promise of punishment in the hereafter, as well as in this life, would be fulfilled.

The Quran paints here for them a scene of the suffering in the hereafter, while also warning them against a similar punishment to that which befell earlier communities, which rejected the faith

If the unbelievers only knew what shall happen to them:

They would change their attitude completely.

They would stop their mockery and hastening of what is bound to come.

Let them, then, see what is bound to come.

There, the fire surrounds them on all sides.

Nay, but it, the Resurrection, shall come upon them suddenly, dumbfounding them, confusing them, and they shall not be able to ward it off, nor shall they be granted any respite, [nor shall they] be given any [extra] time to make a repentance or offer an excuse.

We envisage their agitated movements, described implicitly in the verse, to protect their faces and their backs against the fire, but their attempt is useless. It is as if the fire engulfs them on all sides. They can neither keep it away from themselves, nor retreat to seek protection. Nor is even a short respite from it possible.

That the punishment comes suddenly is only the response for their hastening it.

Sarcastically, they used to say time after time:

“When is this promise to be fulfilled, if what you say be true?”

The answer is that it comes suddenly, perplexing their minds and paralyzing their will. Thus, they are unable to think or act. This applies to the punishment in the hereafter.

Moreover, verily messengers before you were derided but those who mocked them were encircled by the chastisement, which they used to deride; likewise, it shall befall those who have derided you.

As for this world’s punishment, it certainly befell communities before them, which ridiculed Allah’s messengers. Just as those communities were unable to ward off a punishment that wiped them out altogether, so these unbelievers are unable to avert their defeat and captivity. They are thus warned not to deride Allah’s Messenger, to avoid the punishment that befalls those who ridicule prophets. Such fate and punishment is bound to come, because it is part of Allah’s law, which will inevitably, take effect, just as the destruction of earlier communities, guilty of the same offence, proves.

The verses 21:36-41in different translations:

QARIB:

36-When the unbelievers see you, they take you only for mockery, saying: ‘is this he who talks about your gods? ‘While they are unbelievers in the remembrance of the merciful.

37-The human was created of haste. Indeed, I will show you my signs; so do not ask me to hasten them.

38-They say: ‘if you are truthful, when will this promise come? ‘

39-If the unbelievers only knew when they will be unable to shield either their faces or their backs from the fire; when they will not be helped!

40-It will overtake them suddenly, dumbfounding them. they shall be unable to ward it off, and they shall not be respited.

41-Before you, other messengers were mocked, but the mockers were encompassed by the very thing they mocked.

SHAKIR:

36-And when those who disbelieve see you, they do not take you but for one to be scoffed at: is this he who speaks of your gods? and they are deniers at the mention of the beneficent Allah

37-Man is created of haste; now will i show to you my signs, therefore do not ask me to hasten (them) on

38-And they say: when will this threat come to pass if you are truthful?

39-Had those who disbelieve but known (of the time) when they shall not be able to ward off the fire from their faces nor from their backs, nor shall they be helped

40-Nay, it shall come on them all of a sudden and cause them to become confounded, so they shall not have the power to avert it, nor shall they be respited

41-And certainly messengers before you were scoffed at, then there befell those of them who scoffed that at which they had scoffed

PICKTHAL:

36-And when those who disbelieve behold thee, they but choose thee out for mockery, (saying): is this he who maketh mention of your gods? and they would deny all mention of the beneficent.

37-Man is made of haste. I shall show you my portents, but ask me not to hasten.

38-And they say: when will this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful?

39-If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not be able to drive off the fire from their faces and from their backs, and they will not be helped!

40-Nay, but it will come upon them unawares so that it will stupefy them, and they will be unable to repel it, neither will they be reprieved.

41-Messengers before thee, indeed, were mocked, but that whereat they mocked surrounded those who scoffed at them.

YUSUFALI:

36-When the unbelievers see thee, they treat thee not except with ridicule. “is this,” (they say), “the one who talks of your gods?” and they blaspheme at the mention of (Allah) most gracious!

37-Man is a creature of haste: soon (enough) will i show you my signs; then ye will not ask me to hasten them!

38-They say: “when will this promise come to pass, if ye are telling the truth?”

39-If only the unbelievers knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the fire from their faces, nor yet from their backs, and (when) no help can reach them!

40-Nay, it may come to them all of a sudden and confound them: no power will they have then to avert it, nor will they (then) get respite.

41-Mocked were (many) messenger before thee; but their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked.

Atheists in Quran (26) Noah vs. their limitless pride

The Atheists’ pride and arrogance are limitless. In their rotten arguments with Noah, they said nasty statements to testify their unbelieving thoughts. Noah remains unaffected by their false accusations; He applies his own values and maintains his own standards. Noah does not make false claims or accusations as they have done.

———————————

The Atheists’ pride and arrogance are limitless.

The Atheists who were the council, notables, the respected elders and the chieftains of Noah’s people claim that:

  • Noah wants to force us to accept his religion
  • Noah claims his religion and his prophet hood to gain money
  • We will never ever sit with Noah and listen to him unless he drives away those who are the most abject, lowly, and weak and the riffraff among us, who have followed him before us. We commanded Noah to drive them away

This is an example of the Atheists’ Rotten arguments

They said such nasty statements to testify their unbelieving thoughts

Noah remains unaffected by the false accusations, insolence and blind rejection with which his people have received his message.

He applies his own values and maintains his own standards. He does not make false claims or accusations as they have done. Nor does he try to give himself any false image or impart anything alien to his message.

However, Allah inspired Noah the answers for their rotten arguments.

Noah addresses his Atheists people with kindness and friendliness stressing his relationship to them:  O My people

O my people, have you considered if I am acting upon a clear proof from my Lord and He has given me the mercy of prophet hood and it has been obscured from you

Bethink you, if I rely on a clear exposition, which has come down from my Lord

Allah favored me with his mercy that come unto me.  It is the prophet hood and the religion.

  • Can we compel you to it, while you are averse to it?
  • Are we able to force you to accept it, while you are antagonistic to it?
  • can we inspire it or teach it to when you are deniers of it

We are not able to do that.

Noah continued, O my people,

  • I do not ask of you any wealth that you should give me for conveying the Allah’s Message.
  • I ask of you no wealth, no price in exchange for believing in Allah’s divine Oneness.
  • My wage, my reward, falls only upon God
  • I will not drive away those who believe, as you have commanded me.
  • I am not going to thrust away those who believe because of what you say. Lo! they have to meet their Lord and report me to Him,
  • Those believers shall surely meet their Lord, at the Resurrection, and
  • Allah will requite them and exact vengeance for them from those who wronged them, mocked them and drove them away.
  • I see you are a people who are ignorant, of the consequence of your affair.
  • I see you a folk that are ignorant of the command of Allah.

Moreover, Noah said:

O my people, who would help, defend and save me against Allah’s chastisement, if I drive the believers away due to what you say?

There is none to help, defend and save me.

Will you not then remember?

When you admonished by what I say and hence believe?

———————————

Some of the important lessons of this story:

  • I seek no financial gain for my call
  • Noah’s reward rests with none but Allah
  • Noah cannot favor the rich over the poor
  • All people are equal; Allah does not make any distinction based on their wealth, power, race, color, position

Herein, one has to be alert about the relationship between preaching and money.

The true and real relationship between preaching and money is that they are not related.

The true honest genuine preacher never ever asks for money or accept money for his job; he knows that his reward rests with none but God.

Hence, any preacher asks for donation is relying on the money not on the Lord of the universe.

I have to tell you that some kind readers who are interested in my posts keep blaming me that I do not have a donation button to donate my website.

In fact, I do not have any answer but that of the great Prophet Noah: “My reward rests with none but Allah”

———————————

The verses 11:28-30 in different translations:

QARIB:

28-He said: ‘what do you think my nation? If I have a clear proof from my lord and he has given me mercy from him, though it is hidden from you, can we compel you to accept it when you hate it?

29-My nation, for this I do not ask you for your wealth for my wage is only with Allah. Nor will I drive away the believers, for they will surely meet their lord. but, I can see that you are ignorant.

30-Were i to drive you away my nation, who would help me from Allah? Will you not remember?

SHAKIR:

28-He said: o my people! tell me if I have with me clear proof from my lord, and he has granted me mercy from himself and it has been made obscure to you; shall we constrain you to (accept) it while you are averse from it?

29-And, o my people! I ask you not for wealth in return for it; my reward is only with Allah and i am not going to drive away those who believe; surely they shall meet their lord, but i consider you a people who are ignorant:

30-And, o my people! Who will help me against Allah if i drive them away? Will you not then mind?

PICKTHAL:

28-He said: o my people! bethink you, if I rely on a clear proof from my lord and there hath come unto me a mercy from his presence, and it hath been made obscure to you, can we compel you to accept it when ye are averse thereto?

29-And o my people! i ask of you no wealth therefor. my reward is the concern only of Allah, and I am not going to thrust away those who believe – lo! they have to meet their lord! – but I see you a folk that are ignorant.

30-And, o my people! Who would deliver me from Allah if i thrust them away? Will ye not then reflect?

YUSUFALI:

28-He said: “o my people! see ye if (it be that) I have a clear sign from my lord, and that he hath sent mercy unto me from his own presence, but that the mercy hath been obscured from your sight? Shall we compel you to accept it when ye are averse to it?

29-“And o my people! I ask you for no wealth in return: my reward is from none but Allah: but I will not drive away (in contempt) those who believe: for verily they are to meet their lord, and ye i see are the ignorant ones!

30-“And o my people! Who would help me against Allah if I drove them away? Will ye not then take heed?

Atheists in Quran (16) they mocked Muhammad

The Quran talked about the Atheists’ mockery they hurled at the Prophet Muhammad. The Quran says, “If they knew of the time when they shall not be able to ward off the Fire from their faces, nor from their backs and none shall protect them from it at the Resurrection”.

———————————

Do Not Overlook this Warning

The verses 21:38-41 describe how the Atheists deal with Muhammad

The verses talk about

  • The way the unbelievers received Allah’s Messenger and the revelations he was given.
  • The mockery they hurled at him and
  • Their persistent disbelief.

The verses follow this by pointing out that, by nature, man is hasty.

One manifestation of this haste is the unbelievers’ attempts to hasten Allah’s punishment.

Hence, it warns them against such haste and makes it clear to them that they must refrain from mocking the Prophet Muhammad if they wish to avoid the consequences of such unwarranted behavior. That is the persistent suffering of the unbelievers in the hereafter.

The verses talk about the accuracy of the reckoning in the hereafter and the suitability of the reward given on the Day of Judgment.

Thus, the reckoning and the reward are linked to the rules operating in the universe, human nature and human life.

What is more, they try to hasten the punishment against which the Prophet warns them.

For, by nature, man is hasty:

“Man is a creature of haste.”

Haste is present in man’s very nature and constitution.

Man always stretches his eyes to what lies ahead, beyond the present moment, aiming to grasp it with his own hand.

Man wants to achieve, the moment it flashes in his mind, all that seems desirable. He wants to see all that is promised to him, even though it may be to his detriment.

Such is man’s nature, unless he establishes a firm relationship with Allah, which gives him strength and reassurance. He will then trust to Allah’s wisdom, leaving His will to run its course without hastening events. For faith combines trust with patience and reassurance.

Those Atheists hastened Allah’s punishment, wondering when the promise of punishment in the hereafter, as well as in this life, would be fulfilled.

The Quran describes here for them a scene of the suffering in the hereafter, while also warning them against a similar punishment to that which befell earlier communities that rejected the faith “If only the unbelievers knew [that there will come]

  • A time when they will not be able to shield their faces and their backs from the fire;
  • A time when they will find no support.

Indeed, it will come upon them all of a sudden, and will stupefy them.

They will be unable to avert it, nor will they be allowed any respite.

Other messengers were derided before your time; but those who scoffed at them were [in the end] overwhelmed by the very thing that they derided.”

(Verses 39-41)

If the Atheists only knew what will happen to them, they would change their attitude completely.

They would stop their mockery and hastening of what is bound to come.

Let them, then, see what is bound to come. Therein, the fire surrounds them on all sides.

Imagine their frantic movements, described implicitly in the verse, to protect their faces and their backs against the fire, but their attempt is futile. It is as if the fire engulfs them on all sides. They can neither keep it away from themselves, nor retreat to seek protection. Nor is even a short respite from it possible.

That the punishment comes suddenly is only the response for their hastening it.

They used to say time after time:

“When is this promise to be fulfilled, if what you say be true?” (Verse 38)

The answer is that it comes suddenly, perplexing their minds andparalyzing their will. Thus, they are unable to think or act, let alone enjoy a period ofgrace to mend their ways.

This applies to the punishment in the hereafter. As for this world’s punishment, it certainly befell communities before them, which ridiculed Allah’s messengers. Just like those communities were unable to ward off a punishment that wiped them out altogether, so these Atheists are unable to avert their defeat and captivity. They are thus warned not to deride Allah’s Messenger, so as to avoid the punishment that befalls those who ridicule prophets. Such fate and punishment is bound to come, because it is part of Allah’s law which will inevitably take effect, just as the destruction of earlier communities, guilty of the same offence, proves.

In the Noble Quran, Allah is asking mankind some important questions.

It seems compulsory for the serious one who is looking for the truth to have a look at those questions and if possible to answer them.

Allah’ questions are many. In this series, these questions are chosen randomly.

In verses 55:60-61 of the Noble Quran, Allah asking mankind this question: shall the recompense of goodness be anything other than goodness? It is very logic that the reward for good is good and for evil is evil.  Then which of the favors of your lord will ye deny? Which favors of your lord will you belie?

If you count the favors of Allah, you could not number them. Indeed, Allah is forgiving and the most merciful

————————————————————–

Verses 55:60-61 of the Noble Quran give the question of this article and talk about it

The meanings of the verses 55:60-61

Verse 55:60 says:

Is the reward of goodness aught save goodness?

Is the reward of goodness, manifested through obedience, anything but goodness?

Is the reward of he whom Allah has blessed with the profession of Allah’s divine Oneness anything but the Garden?

Verse 55:61 says:

So which of your Lord’s favors will you deny?

Which is it, of the favors of your Lord that you deny?

This question is repeated 31 times in Surah 55; such repetitions indicate the utmost importance of this question.

Can anyone answer this question?

However, the Quran gives you the answer of this important question in verses 14:34 and 16:18; they say:

If you count the favors of Allah, you could not number them.

Verily, this is because man is wicked, thankless, very unjust, very ungrateful, a wrong-doer, an ingrate and is given up to injustice and ingratitude.

However, Allah is oft-forgiving, and the most merciful.

Remember that!

if you count the blessings of Allah, you will never number them. Indeed, the human is wicked and thankless.

and he gives you of all that you ask him; and if you count Allah’s favors, you will not be able to number them; most surely man is very unjust, very ungrateful

PICKTHAL:

and he giveth you of all ye ask of him, and if ye would count the bounty of Allah ye cannot reckon it. lo! man is verily a wrong-doer, an ingrate.

YUSUFALI:

if ye would count up the favors of Allah, never would ye be able to number them: for Allah is oft-forgiving, most merciful.

This is Allah (25) Allah has given you power you give little thanks

Allah told the Angels to Prostrate before Adam for salutation

Who was the First Historically disobeyed Allah; Satan or Adam?

Is Satan better than Adam?

The Pride of Satan was the first Sin in the History

—————————————————————-

Many people do not know Allah. This series is an attempt to help them in order to know and acknowledge their Creator.

Verses 7:10-13 of the Noble Quran talk about:

1) Allah has given you power in the earth and you give little thanks,

2)Allah told the Angels to Prostrate before Adam for greeting,

3)Iblis (Satan) was the First Historically disobeyed Allah, and

4) When Satan said that he is better than Adam? And

5) The Pride of Satan was the first Sin in the History

—————————————————————-

The meaning of verse 7:10

And Allah has given you O mankind power in the earth, and appointed for you therein in the earth a livelihood that from which you eat, drink and clothe yourselves. Little give you thanks! you do not give thanks for what is great nor for the small; it is also said that this means: you give little thanks for all that is done for you.

In other words, Allah has given you power, O Children of Adam, in the earth, and have appointed for you therein livelihoods, that is, the means by which you are able to subsist; however, little thanks you show, for this.

The meaning of verse 7:11

And Allah created you from Adam and Adam is from dust, then fashioned you in wombs, and when Allah fashioned Adam between He told the angels: Fall ye prostrate before Adam; a prostration of greeting!

And they fell prostrate, all save Iblis.

Iblis was not of those who make prostration to Adam.

In other words, Allah created your father Adam, then said to the angels: ‘Prostrate yourselves before Adam!’, a prostration that is a bow of salutation. So they fell prostrate, all save Iblis, the father of the jinn, who was among the angels, he refused to make prostration.

This verse shows that Iblis, Satan, was the first creature which disobeyed Allah.

Iblis was not an Angel, he is the father of jinn.

Jinn are invisible creatures which live like us, they eat and marry etc.  Jinn like mankind are commanded to worship Allah and to obey His Law.

The meaning of verse 7:12

Allah, exalted be He, said, ‘What prevented you from falling prostrate  when I commanded you, when I bade you to prostrate? Iblis(Satan) said, ‘I am better than him. You created me from fire, while him You created from clay; I am made of fire while he is made of mud, and fire devours mud.

The meaning of verse 7:13

Allah said to him: Then go down hence! go down from heaven; it is also said this means: come out of angelic form. It is not for thee, you ought not to show pride here, demonstrate pride, in the form of an angel, to the Children of Adam, so go forth! leave your angelic form; it is also said that this means: go forth from the earth;

Lo! you are art of those degraded, you are of those who are humiliated in that you are punished.

In other words, Allah said to Satan: ‘Then go down from it, that is, from the Garden  it is also said, go down from the heavens; it is not, right, for you to show pride here, so go forth, out of it! Surely you are among the abased!’, the contemptible!

Verses 7:10-13in different English translations of the meanings of Arabic Quran:

QARIB:

10) We established you in the earth and made for you a livelihood but little is it that you give thanks.

11) We created you then we shaped you, then we said to the angels: ‘prostrate yourselves before Adam. ‘ they all prostrated themselves except Iblis he was not among the prostrated.

12) He (Allah) asked: ‘what prevented you to prostrate, when i commanded you? ‘ ‘i am better than he, ‘ he replied. ‘you created me of fire and you created him of clay. ‘

13) He (Allah) said: ‘descend from it! this is no place for you to be proud. begone, you are of the humiliated. ‘

SHAKIR:

10) And certainly we have established you in the earth and made in it means of livelihood for you; little it is that you give thanks

11) And certainly we created you, then we fashioned you, then we said to the angels: prostrate to Adam. so they did prostrate except Iblis; he was not of those who prostrated

12) He said: what hindered you so that you did not prostrate when i commanded you? he said: i am better than he: thou hast created me of fire, while him thou didst create of dust

13) He said: then get forth from this (state), for it does not befit you to behave proudly therein. go forth, therefore, surely you are of the abject ones

PICKTHAL:

10) And we have given you (mankind) power in the earth, and appointed for you therein livelihoods. little give ye thanks!

11) And we created you, then fashioned you, then told the angels: fall ye prostrate before Adam! and they fell prostrate, all save Iblis, who was not of those who make prostration.

12) He said: what hindered thee that thou didst not fall prostrate when i bade thee? (Iblis) said: i am better than him. thou createdst me of fire while him thou didst create of mud.

13) He said: then go down hence! it is not for thee to show pride here, so go forth! lo! thou art of those degraded.

YUSUFALI:

10) It is we who have placed you with authority on earth, and provided you therein with means for the fulfillment of your life: small are the thanks that ye give!

11) It is we who created you and gave you shape; then we bade the angels prostrate to Adam, and they prostrate; not so Iblis; he refused to be of those who prostrate.

12) (Allah) said: “what prevented thee from prostrating when i commanded thee?” he said: “i am better than he: thou didst create me from fire, and him from clay.”

13) (Allah) said: “get thee down from this: it is not for thee to be arrogant here: get out, for thou art of the meanest (of creatures).”

Allah is Asking you this Question (12) has Muhammad Invented the Quran?

Has Muhammad Invented the Quran? Then bring ten Surah

Allah is Challenging Mankind by 200 Words

The first linguistic challenge in the history of mankind

The Modern intellectual Scholars Repeat what the Ignorant Arabs have said more than 1400 years ago

——————————————

Allah is asking mankind this question:

Do the disbelievers say: Muhammad has invented the Quran?

Say (O Muhammad): ‘Then bring ten Surah the like thereof, the like of a Surah of the Quran (200 Arabic words); and call upon whom you can to assist you, If you are truthful, about the Quran being an invention made by Muhammad.

However, they would not be able at all to compose or bring ten Surah the like thereof, the like of a Surah of the Quran!

——————————————

In the Noble Quran, Allah is asking mankind some important questions.

It seems compulsory for the serious one who is looking for the truth to have a look at those questions and if possible to answer them.

Allah’ questions are many.  In this series, these questions are chosen randomly.

——————————————

The question in this article is:

Do the disbelievers of Mecca say: Muhammad has invented the Quran?

Say (O Muhammad): ‘Then bring ten Surah the like thereof, the like of a Surah of the Quran; and call upon whom you can to assist you, If you are truthful, about the Quran being an invention made by Muhammad.

However, they would not be able at all to compose or bring ten Surah the like thereof, the like of a Surah of the Quran!

This means that the disbelievers of Mecca are liar in their claim about the Quran being an invention made by Muhammad.

It is well known that the disbelievers of Mecca were ignorant about all the scientific issues and most of the historical topics mentioned in the Quran.  If we do not blame them about their claim about the Quran being an invention made by Muhammad; however, we blame the Modern Scholars who repeat their Statement that has been claimed more than 1400 years ago about the Quran.  Those Modern Scholars who say that the Quran is forged and it is made by Muhammad have to know that they repeat what has been said by the ignorant disbelievers Arabs of Mecca for more than 1400 years ago!

It should be emphasized that ten Surah of the Quran are about 200 Arabic words.  The disbelievers of Mecca failed to bring or to compose 200 Arabic words the like of a Surah of the Quran.

Interestingly, this challenge that is the first linguistic challenge in the history of mankind is still valid and Allah is still challenging mankind to bring or to compose ten Surah, i.e. 200 Arabic words the like of a Surah of the Quran. If mankind can not do that, then anyone who says that the Quran is forged is LIAR!

——————————————

The meanings verses 11:13- 14 give the question of this article and talk about it

Verse 11:13 says:

Or do they say, ‘He has invented the Quran?

Nay, the disbelievers of Mecca say: Muhammad has invented the Quran and presented it to us.

Say: ‘Then bring ten Surah the like thereof, the like of a Surah of the Quran, in terms of clarity and rhetorical excellence, invented, for you are Arabs who speak [Arabic] eloquently, like myself — he challenged them to these ten Surah

And call, in order [for them] to assist you, upon whom you can beside God, that is, [on] other than Him

And call on everyone you can, seek the help of what you worship (beside Allah

If you are truthful, about the Quran being an invention of lies.

And they would not be able to compose or bring ten Surah the like thereof, the like of a Surah of the Quran!

Verse 11:14 says:

Then, if they, that is, those on whom you call for assistance, do not answer you, know, this address is to the idolaters, that it has been revealed, enwrapped, only in God’s knowledge, not as an invention of lies against Him, and that there is no god save Him. Will you then submit? After this definitive argument;

 In other words: ‘Submit!’

It is also said: When they could not respond, Allah said: (And if they answer not your prayer) and if the wrong-doers do not answer you, (then know) O disbelievers (that it is revealed) that Gabriel brought down the Qur’an (only in the knowledge of Allah) and with his command; (and that there is no God save Him. Will ye then be (of) those who surrender?) and believe in Muhammad and in the Quran.

——————————————

Verses 11:13- 14 in different translations:

QARIB:

13) Or do they say: ‘he has forged it? ‘ say (to them): ‘then produce ten forged chapters like it. call, if you are able, upon other than Allah, if what you say is true. ‘

14) But if they do not answer you, know that it has been sent down with the knowledge of Allah, and that there is no god except he. So, have you surrendered (become Muslims)?

SHAKIR:

13) Or, do they say: he has forged it. say: then bring ten forged chapters like it and call upon whom you can besides Allah, if you are truthful

14) But if they do not answer you, then know that it is revealed by Allah’s knowledge and that there is no god but he; will you then submit?

PICKTHAL:

13) Or they say: he hath invented it. say: then bring ten Surah, the like thereof, invented, and call on everyone ye can beside Allah, if ye are truthful!

14) And if they answer not your prayer, then know that it is revealed only in the knowledge of Allah; and that there is no Allah save him. Will ye then be (of) those who surrender?

YUSUFALI:

13) Or they may say, “he forged it,” say, “bring ye then ten suras forged, like unto it, and call (to your aid) whomsoever ye can, other than Allah!- if ye speak the truth!

14) “If then they (your false gods) answer not your (call), know ye that this revelation is sent down (replete) with the knowledge of Allah, and that there is no god but he! Will ye even then submit (to Islam)?”

This is Allah (9) Allah Has created the Angels with wings

Are the Angels Messengers?

Is there any creator other than Allah who provides you with necessities?

Allah has originated the heavens and the earth without any precedent

===========

Many people do not know Allah. This series is an attempt to help them in order to know and acknowledge their Creator.

Verses 35:1-3 of the Noble Quran says that Allah is:

The Originator of the heavens and the earth,

He is the Appointer of the angels as messengers, and

He created them with wings.

Whatever mercy Allah unfolds for mankind, none can withhold it and the vice versa.

Remember Allah’s grace towards you.

Is there any creator, other than Allah who provides you with necessities?

————————————————-

Verse 35:1 says:

Praise be to Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, the One Who created them without any precedent, Appointer of the angels as messengers, to His prophets, having wings in sets of two or three or four. He multiplies in creation, in angels and other creatures, what He will. Surely Allah has power over all things.

It is also said that the verse means:

Praise be to Allah means gratitude and favor belong to Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, who appointed the angels; Who created and honored the angels and made them messengers i.e. He sends them with a message to His created beings; this refers to the great Angels Gabriel, Michael, Esraphiel, the angel of death, thunder and to the Guardian angels (having wings) i.e. the angels have wings (two, three and four) wings with which to fly.

He multiplies in creation; in the creation of angels what He will;

it is also said that in those wings are what He wills;

and it is also said: whomever He wills is in good fortune;

and it is said that this means: whomsoever He wills has a good voice.

Lo! Allah is Able to do all things of increase and decrease.

Verse 35:2 says:

Whatever mercy Allah unfolds for mankind, in the way of provision or rain, and any other provision or well-being, none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds, thereof, none can release it after Him, that is, after His withholding it.

And He is the Mighty, Whose way prevails, the Wise, in that which He sends and in what He does.

Verse 35:3 says:

O mankind, O people!  Remember Allah’s grace towards you in the form of rain, provision and well-being!

Is there any creator, any god other than Allah who provides for you from the sky rain and from the earth vegetation? There is no God save Allah who provides you.

Whither then are you turned; from whence do you lie and claim that your deities provide for you?

In other words, There is no god except Allah. So how then do you deviate?, how are you turned away from affirming His Oneness when you already affirm that He is the Creator and the Provider?
