Atheists in Quran (35) they are hasty

The Atheists try to hasten the punishment against which the Prophet Muhammad warns them. Sarcastically, they say, ‘When will this promise of resurrection and chastisement be fulfilled, if you are truthful O Muhammad?

The Quran says that 1) Man is a creature of haste; he is so hasty in his affairs and 2) Verily, messengers before you O Muhammad were derided but those who mocked them were encircled by the chastisement, which they used to deride; likewise, it shall befall those who have derided you.

———————————

The Arabs at the time of the Prophet Muhammad were one of two:

The unbelievers deny the existence of One God and they used to worship many idols as gods

The Atheists who deny the existence of any god

Both groups deny the Resuscitation, the Day of Judgment and the Afterlife

They deny the very existence of Allah, the Most Merciful, who has created the universe and set the rules that operate in it and sustain its existence.

Herein, a likely dispute is expected.

Allah’s Messenger Muhammad speaks out against their deities, showing such inanimate idols to be useless.

On the other hand, The Atheists and unbelievers rudely deny Allah and they hurl abuse and mockery at Allah’s Messenger, saying that it is unacceptable that he should criticize their idol worship. They find nothing wrong with the arrogance that leads them to

Deny Allah’s existence,

Deny Allah’s Messenger and

Reject Allah’s revelation, the Quran.

The sarcasm of their attitude exposes to the full the far- reaching corruption that affects their nature and impairs their judgment.

Whenever they see you O Muhammad, they take you in derision and pick you out for mockery

What is more stupid of them?

They try to hasten the punishment against which the Prophet warns them.

They say, ‘When will this promise of resurrection and chastisement be fulfilled, if you are truthful O Muhammad?

Man is a creature of haste; he is so hasty in his affairs

Haste is present in man’s very nature and constitution.

He always stretches his eyes to what lies ahead, beyond the present moment, aiming to grasp it with his own hand. He wants to achieve, the moment it flashes in his mind, all that seems desirable. He wants to see all that is promised to him, even though it may be to his damage. Such is man’s nature, unless he establishes a firm relationship with Allah, which gives him strength and reassurance. He will then trust to Allah’s wisdom, leaving His will to run its course without hastening events. For faith combines trust with patience and reassurance.

Those unbelievers hastened Allah’s punishment, wondering when the promise of punishment in the hereafter, as well as in this life, would be fulfilled.

The Quran paints here for them a scene of the suffering in the hereafter, while also warning them against a similar punishment to that which befell earlier communities, which rejected the faith

If the unbelievers only knew what shall happen to them:

They would change their attitude completely.

They would stop their mockery and hastening of what is bound to come.

Let them, then, see what is bound to come.

There, the fire surrounds them on all sides.

Nay, but it, the Resurrection, shall come upon them suddenly, dumbfounding them, confusing them, and they shall not be able to ward it off, nor shall they be granted any respite, [nor shall they] be given any [extra] time to make a repentance or offer an excuse.

We envisage their agitated movements, described implicitly in the verse, to protect their faces and their backs against the fire, but their attempt is useless. It is as if the fire engulfs them on all sides. They can neither keep it away from themselves, nor retreat to seek protection. Nor is even a short respite from it possible.

That the punishment comes suddenly is only the response for their hastening it.

Sarcastically, they used to say time after time:

“When is this promise to be fulfilled, if what you say be true?”

The answer is that it comes suddenly, perplexing their minds and paralyzing their will. Thus, they are unable to think or act. This applies to the punishment in the hereafter.

Moreover, verily messengers before you were derided but those who mocked them were encircled by the chastisement, which they used to deride; likewise, it shall befall those who have derided you.

As for this world’s punishment, it certainly befell communities before them, which ridiculed Allah’s messengers. Just as those communities were unable to ward off a punishment that wiped them out altogether, so these unbelievers are unable to avert their defeat and captivity. They are thus warned not to deride Allah’s Messenger, to avoid the punishment that befalls those who ridicule prophets. Such fate and punishment is bound to come, because it is part of Allah’s law, which will inevitably, take effect, just as the destruction of earlier communities, guilty of the same offence, proves.

The verses 21:36-41in different translations:

QARIB:

36-When the unbelievers see you, they take you only for mockery, saying: ‘is this he who talks about your gods? ‘While they are unbelievers in the remembrance of the merciful.

37-The human was created of haste. Indeed, I will show you my signs; so do not ask me to hasten them.

38-They say: ‘if you are truthful, when will this promise come? ‘

39-If the unbelievers only knew when they will be unable to shield either their faces or their backs from the fire; when they will not be helped!

40-It will overtake them suddenly, dumbfounding them. they shall be unable to ward it off, and they shall not be respited.

41-Before you, other messengers were mocked, but the mockers were encompassed by the very thing they mocked.

SHAKIR:

36-And when those who disbelieve see you, they do not take you but for one to be scoffed at: is this he who speaks of your gods? and they are deniers at the mention of the beneficent Allah

37-Man is created of haste; now will i show to you my signs, therefore do not ask me to hasten (them) on

38-And they say: when will this threat come to pass if you are truthful?

39-Had those who disbelieve but known (of the time) when they shall not be able to ward off the fire from their faces nor from their backs, nor shall they be helped

40-Nay, it shall come on them all of a sudden and cause them to become confounded, so they shall not have the power to avert it, nor shall they be respited

41-And certainly messengers before you were scoffed at, then there befell those of them who scoffed that at which they had scoffed

PICKTHAL:

36-And when those who disbelieve behold thee, they but choose thee out for mockery, (saying): is this he who maketh mention of your gods? and they would deny all mention of the beneficent.

37-Man is made of haste. I shall show you my portents, but ask me not to hasten.

38-And they say: when will this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful?

39-If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not be able to drive off the fire from their faces and from their backs, and they will not be helped!

40-Nay, but it will come upon them unawares so that it will stupefy them, and they will be unable to repel it, neither will they be reprieved.

41-Messengers before thee, indeed, were mocked, but that whereat they mocked surrounded those who scoffed at them.

YUSUFALI:

36-When the unbelievers see thee, they treat thee not except with ridicule. “is this,” (they say), “the one who talks of your gods?” and they blaspheme at the mention of (Allah) most gracious!

37-Man is a creature of haste: soon (enough) will i show you my signs; then ye will not ask me to hasten them!

38-They say: “when will this promise come to pass, if ye are telling the truth?”

39-If only the unbelievers knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the fire from their faces, nor yet from their backs, and (when) no help can reach them!

40-Nay, it may come to them all of a sudden and confound them: no power will they have then to avert it, nor will they (then) get respite.

41-Mocked were (many) messenger before thee; but their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked.

Atheists in Quran (22) their reward = Woe

The Atheists among the Arabs said to the believers in the Prophet Muhammad ‘If there is Hereafter, then we will receive the same reward as that which you will receive’.  The Quran declares that their reward is Woe.

———————————

The verses 38:27-28 set some facts,

The creation of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them was not without purpose. Their creation is based on the truth and for a definite intent.

Allah did not create the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in vain, frivolously or for no particular purpose.

This is the supposition of the Atheists who disbelieve. That is the opinion of the Atheists who deny the resurrection after death.

So woe to the disbelievers from the Eternal Fire!

Severe chastisement is awaiting for them.

The creation of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them is based on the truth and for a definite intent.

The Atheists cannot imagine such truth and facts because they do not relate to the great truth on which the universe is based. Henceforth, they entertain ill thoughts about their Lord.

Moreover, they will not understand the truth: “That is what the unbelievers assume. Woe betide the unbelievers when they are cast in the fire.” (Verse 27)

The truth embodied in Allah’s blessed book is for people with insight and understanding so that they can study its verses and reflect on the essential facts of existence.

  • Are the good deeds equated with the corruption
  • Is Allah-fearing equated with the wicked

The Atheists among the Arabs at the time of the Prophet Muhammad said to the believers:

‘In the Hereafter we will receive the same [reward] as that which you will receive’

Then Allah revealed the verse 38:28, it says:

  • Shall Allah treat those who believe n Muhammad and in the Quran and perform righteous deeds obedience between themselves and their Lord like those who do not believe and cause corruption in the earth; or
  • Shall Allah treat the God-fearing like the profligate?
  • Shall Allah treat the Pious who ward off disbelief, indecent acts, like the wicked unbelievers

———————————

The verses 38:27-28 in different translations:

QARIB:

27-It was not in falsehood that we created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. that is the thought of the unbelievers. but woe to the unbelievers because of the fire!

28-Are we to make those who believe and do good works the same as those who corrupt the earth? are we to make the righteous as the wicked?

SHAKIR:

27-And we did not create the heaven and the earth and what is between them in vain; that is the opinion of those who disbelieve then woe to those who disbelieve on account of the fire

28-Shall we treat those who believe and do good like the mischief-makers in the earth? or shall we make those who guard (against evil) like the wicked?

PICKTHAL:

27-And we created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them in vain. that is the opinion of those who disbelieve. and woe unto those who disbelieve, from the fire!

28-Shall we treat those who believe and do good works as those who spread corruption in the earth; or shall we treat the pious as the wicked?

YUSUFALI:

27-Not without purpose did we create heaven and earth and all between! that were the thought of unbelievers! but woe to the unbelievers because of the fire (of hell)!

28-Shall we treat those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the same as those who do mischief on earth? shall we treat those who guard against evil, the same as those who turn aside from the right?

Atheists in Quran (21) their leader = their enemy = Satan

O humankind! Indeed Allah’s promise, of resurrection is true. So do not let the Deceiver, Satan, deceive you from believing. Satan is your enemy, so treat him as an enemy. Satan only summons followers so that they may be among the inhabitants of the fierce Fire.

———————————

The first four verses of Surah 35 emphasized three major facts of the Islamic faith:

  • The oneness of Allah, the Almighty Creator
  • The graces that Allah alone bestows
  • Allah is the only One who provides sustenance for all His creation.

The verses 35:5-7 address 1) The Prophet Muhammad and 2) Mankind as follow:

1) The Prophet Muhammad, heartening him because his people’s rejection of his message and their false accusations of his lying caused him much pain. It stresses that all matters are in Allah’s hand.

2) Mankind confirming that Allah’s promise is a true promise and warning man against Satan’s schemes, which aim to divert man from recognizing the major truths already outlined.

The Creeping around Enemy

What Satan, our affirmed enemy, wants is to lead Mankind to hell’s torment?

Both belief and rejection are in Allah’s hand, and He knows all that people do.

Then the verses show us the types of requital that await the believers and unbelievers in the life to come.

The aim of the first address is at the Prophet Muhammad:

“If they accuse you of lying, other messengers, who had gone before you, were similarly accused. It is to Allah that all things return.” (Verse 4)

With all these truths easily and clearly recognizable, you need not worry that they accuse you of lying.

The same thing happened to earlier messengers.

If the Atheists deny you, O Muhammad with regard to your message of Allah’s Oneness, resurrection, reckoning and punishment, verily, the Atheists denied other messengers before you in this respect, so be steadfast as they were steadfast

All matters finally return to Allah who determines every end the way He pleases.

The aim of the second address is at Mankind, in general, to all people and to everyone:

People! Allah’s promise is true indeed. So do not let the life of the present world delude you, and do not let deceptive thoughts about Allah delude you. Satan is your enemy, so treat him as an enemy. He only calls on his followers so that they will be among those destined for the blazing fire. (Verses 5-6)

Allah’s promise is true:

  • There is no doubt that it will come;
  • It is a reality that will not fail;
  • It is the absolute truth.
  • Nothing can cause it to disappear, lose its way or change.

Nevertheless, this present life can delude people, as can Satan. Therefore, do not let anything deceive you:

“Do not let the life of the present world delude you, and do not let deceptive thoughts about Allah delude you.” (Verse 5)

O humankind! Indeed Allah’s promise, of resurrection and of other issues, is true. So do not let the life of this world deceive you, from believing, and do not let the Deceiver, Satan, deceive you concerning Allah

Satan has declared his hostility and enmity to you and that he will never be anything but an enemy to you.

Satan only summons his faction, his followers in disbelief, so that they may be among the inhabitants of the Blaze, the fierce Fire.

Therefore, “treat him as an enemy.” (Verse 6)

  • Do not befriend him,
  • Do not listen to his advice,
  • Do not follow his footsteps,

For no wise person would follow his enemy’s footsteps.

Moreover, you should realize that Satan:

  • Does not call you to anything good,
  • Nor does he want you to be safe:

“He only calls on his followers so that they will be among those destined for the blazing fire.” (Verse 6)

Can anyone with reason and clear thinking answer a call that would put him in the fire?

This is a sincere, heartfelt address.

When man remembers the eternal challenge,

  • He has to fight against his avowed enemy, Satan,
  • He will muster all his strength, defending himself and ensuring his own safety.
  • He will do his utmost not to fall to any temptation, keep himself on guard, and evaluate every thought by the scales Allah has given him.
  • He is alert to the fact that any seemingly innocent thought may involve clever deception by his essential enemy.

This is the Islamic teachings.

Man needs to be on the alert to reject any temptation Satan presents. This entails the mobilization of all one’s responses against evil, both its inner appeal and surface attraction.

Thus, one is always on red alert, prepared to engage in this challenge, which rages persistently throughout this present life.

Such “take care of Satan” demanded from believers is followed by an outline of the fate of those who responded to Satan’s call.

To underpin the contrast, the verse restated the situation of the believers who reject Satan and drive him away:

“For the unbelievers there is severe suffering in store; while for those who believe and do righteous deeds there is forgiveness of sins and a great reward.” (Verse 7)

Those who disbelieve, theirs will be a severe chastisement; but those who believe and perform righteous deeds, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward — this is a declaration of what [fate] will be for the adherents of Satan and what will be for his opponents [respectively].

———————————

The verses 35:5-7 in different translations:

QARIB:

4-If they belie you; other messengers have been belied before you. to Allah all matters are returned.

5-People, the promise of Allah is true, so do not let this present life delude you, and do not let the deluder (Satan) delude you about Allah.

6-Satan is indeed your enemy; therefore take him for an enemy. he calls his party so that they will become the companions of the blaze.

7-For the unbelievers awaits a terrible punishment, but for those who believe and do good deeds is forgiveness and a great recompense.

SHAKIR:

4-And if they call you a liar, truly messengers before you were called liars, and to Allah are all affairs returned

5-O men! Surely, the promise of Allah is true, therefore let not the life of this world deceive you, and let not the arch-deceiver deceive you respecting Allah

6-Surely, the Shaitan is your enemy, so take him for an enemy; he only invites his party that they may be inmates of the burning

7- (As for) those who disbelieve, they shall have a severe punishment, and (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have forgiveness and a great reward

PICKTHAL:

4-And if they deny thee, (O Muhammad), messengers (of Allah) were denied before thee. Unto Allah, all things are brought back.

5-O mankind! Lo! the promise of Allah is true. So let not the life of the world beguile you, and let not the (avowed) beguiler beguile you with regard to Allah.

6-Lo! The devil is an enemy for you, so treat him as an enemy. He only summoneth his faction to be owners of the flaming fire.

7-Those who disbelieve, theirs will be an awful doom; and those who believe and do good works, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward.

YUSUFALI:

4-And if they reject thee, so were messengers rejected before thee: to Allah back for decision all affairs.

5-O men! Certainly, the promise of Allah is true. Let not then this present life deceive you, nor let the chief deceiver deceive you about Allah.

6-Verily, Satan is an enemy to you: so treat him as an enemy. he only invites his adherents, that they may become companions of the blazing fire.

7-For those who reject Allah, is a terrible penalty: but for those who believe and work righteous deeds, is forgiveness, and a magnificent reward.

Atheists in Quran (8) they contend with falsehood

Throughout the History, the Atheists disputed their messengers with falsehood; their aim was to invalidate the truth of Allah’ scriptures and message.

———————————

The meanings of the verse 18:56:

Allah sent a messenger (and/or prophet) to every nation.

Allah sent his messengers with one message; it is believe in Allah, the One, the Almighty Creator, the Merciful, the Forgiving, He has no partner, no similar, no son etc.

Allah’s messengers were bearers and warners

  • They were bearers of good tidings (Paradise) to believers
  • They were warners against Eternal hell for the disbelievers

All the messengers and the prophets were belied by most of their people, folks, tribes and nations.

The Atheists among the people of the messengers belied them and disbelieved in them.

The Atheists who disbelieved disputed with falsehood.

The Atheists gave many false reasons to justify their disbelief

They say for example:

  • Has God sent a human as a messenger?
  • God has to send an Angel not a human
  • We have never heard about that from our ancients
  • Why God choose this man specifically?
  • We want to see God and talk to him
  • Etc. of their foolish and ignorant falsehood

When they say that and the like of such statements, that they may refute thereby, that by way of their disputing they may invalidate the truth of Allah’ scriptures.

Throughout the History, the Atheists disputed their messengers with falsehood, their aim was to invalidate the truth of Allah’ scriptures and message.

This happened to all the messengers like for example Noah, Hud, Salih, Abraham, Lot, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, Elias, Jonah, Zachariah, John, Jesus and Prophet Muhammad

Sometimes, the Atheists knew some verses of the Quran and they take them in mockery

They have taken in mockery the verses of the Quran that whereof they have been warned, in the way of the Eternal Hell.

They take Allah’s revelations, messengers, and that wherewith they are threatened of chastisement as a jest and mockery.

———————————

The verse 18:56 in different translations:

QARIB:

We send our messengers only to proclaim glad tidings and to give warning. but the unbelievers dispute with false arguments so that they may belie the truth. they have taken my verses and warnings in mockery.

SHAKIR:

And we do not send messengers but as givers of good news and warning, and those who disbelieve make a false contention that they may render null thereby the truth, and they take my communications and that with which they are warned for a mockery

PICKTHAL:

We send not the messengers save as bearers of good news and warners. Those who disbelieve contend with falsehood in order to refute the truth thereby. And they take our revelations and that wherewith they are threatened as a jest.

YUSUFALI:

We only send the messengers to give glad tidings and to give warnings: but the unbelievers dispute with vain argument, in order therewith to weaken the truth, and they treat my signs as a jest, as also the fact that they are warned!

Angels in Islam (25) are they beautiful or ugly?

Depending on who is the eyewitness; the Angels could be seen either extremely beautiful or very horrifying ugly beings. And, this is one of Allah’s miracles.

——————————————

The Angels are extremely beautiful it is common to see the picture of an Angel in the western media; wherein the Angel is portrayed as a small beautiful boy with two little wings.

It is also a common knowledge throughout man’s history that the Angels are strikingly nice-looking.

The idea that Angels are beautiful is firmly established in all people’s minds, so much so that they liken a beautiful human to an Angel, as the women said about the Prophet Yusuf (Joseph), the son of Jacob: “. . . When they [the women] saw him, they did extol him and (in their amazement) cut their hands: they said: ‘Allah preserve us! No mortal is this! This is none other than a noble Angel!’” (The verse 12:31)

Upon describing the great Angel Gabriel (Jibreel), the Quran says that he is “Dhoo Mirrah”. It is an Arabic word that means free from any defect and he has a very beautiful appearance (the verse 53:5-6)

The Angels also came to the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and the Prophet Lut (Lot) in the form of young men with beautiful faces. (The verses 51:24-28 and the verses 11:77-81 respectively)

Also, Allah sent the Angel Gabriel (Jibreel) to Saint Mary (Maryam) in the form of a good looking man (the verse 19:17)

In addition, The Angel Gabriel (Jibreel) used to come to the Prophet Muhammad in the form of a good looking man

In short, the Angels are generally extremely beautiful beings with wings as described in the Quran (The verse 35:1).

It is said that looking at the beautiful Angels is a great Bliss.

We knew that the Spectator of the beautiful Angels were:

  • The Prophet Abraham
  • The Prophet Lot
  • The Prophet Muhammad
  • Saint Mary

All of them were strictly submissive to Allah

All of them deserve the great Bliss of watching the beautiful Angels.

Now, the question is: do the unbelievers deserve the great bliss of seeing the beautiful Angels?

The verse 68:35 answers this question, it says:

  • Shall your Lord (O Muhammad) make the reward of those who submit to Allah as the reward of the unbelievers?
  • Are your Lord then to treat those who submit as the sinners?

It follows that the unbelievers, unlike the believers, will not be able to see the beautiful Angels.

But, they will see them for sure face to face at the moment of their death (Read the Articles 22-24)

The thing is that the Angels are able to change their form, shape, color, voice etc. to whatever they want.

Allah gave them this unique ability to change their form, shape, color, voice etc.

It is forbidden for the unbelievers to see them as beautiful beings.

For this reason, the Angels will appear to the unbelievers as Very horrifying ugly beings with very terrifying loud voices.

And this is one of the many Allah’s miracles

——————————————

The verse 68:35 in different translations:

QARIB:

What, shall we make those who are submissive like the wrongdoers?

SHAKIR:

What! Shall we then make (that is, treat) those who submit as the guilty?

PICKTHAL:

Shall we then treat those who have surrendered as we treat the guilty?

YUSUFALI:

Shall we then treat the people of faith like the people of sin?

Why Do Priests & Preachers Enter Islam? The story of conversion of the Preacher Yusuf Estes (10)

Doesn’t it bother you to have left the way of peace, justice and love for a religion of hatred, violence and oppression toward women and others?

—————————–

How a preacher or priest in Christianity can ever go to Islam?

How could a preacher have turned his back on the perfect plan of salvation of Jesus Christ on the cross for you sins and converted to Islam?

—————————–

ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS

The ex- American preacher Yusuf Estes continues saying:

Now as I promised here are the answers to the questions many have asked me connected with my choice of Islam:

Question:

8. “Doesn’t it bother you to have left the way of peace, justice and love for a religion of hatred, violence and oppression toward women and others?”

Answer:

All the prophets, peace be upon them all, called the people to worship Almighty God as One God and One Lord. As such, those who did not want to submit to Almighty God would combat them and treat them with hostilities, even unto death, as Paul had done while still being a Pharisee. The prophets, peace be upon them all, did encourage their followers to live in peace and deal with people in justice and certainly love is the highest form of emotion a human can have for another human being.

Yet at the same time, believers have to defend themselves, their families and the religion itself, lest those who are not believers should remove belief from the very face of the earth. Islam, like Christianity preaches a message of peace and tolerance – to a point. But when this is no longer possible without totally compromising and loosing one’s way of life and belief system, then there is no alternative except to engage in open combat against those who are combating against the believers.

Jesus called upon his followers to sell their coats and buy swords. He explained that he did not come with peace, but rather a sword. He and his companions were engaged in mortal combat with their enemies, the Pharisees when one of the priests slaves had his ear cut by the sword. Jesus then told them to put down their swords. This is mentioned in the Bible.

The word “sword” appears over 200 times in the Bible – but even though the Arabic language has more than a dozen words for sword, there is not a single occurrence of any of these words anywhere in the Quran.

Combat is ordered in the Quran, only under very specific and limited conditions and it is nothing more than what we would today call “The War on Terrorism.” Fighting against all acts of organized aggression, oppression, persecution and terrorism is an obligation on all believers. But it certainly has limits and women, children, elderly and any innocents are not to killed or injured during such occasions. Treatment of prisoners is not to be humiliating or torture of any kind. Even the dead of the enemy are to be buried with dignity and respect.

Now since writing my story and publishing here on the internet many other websites have picked up this story and it had become a famous example of how “Priest and Preachers Are Coming to Islam.”

Again, I thank you for visiting. And I thank our Christian friend for his email. If he hadn’t sent it, I probably would still not have completed this task of putting down the story once and for all of how my family, friends and myself all came to Islam.

Please feel free to share this story with others. You should print it out and make copies for everyone. Give them our links, add our story to your website or blog page, and send out emails to everyone you know. Maybe it could make a difference for others like us, God Willing.

May Allah guide you on your journey to all truth? Ameen. And May He open your heart and your mind to the reality of this world and the purpose of this life, ameen.

Peace to you and Guidance from Allah the One Almighty God, Creator and Sustainer of all that exists.

This is Allah (34) How Does Allah Requite the Guilty and the Evildoers?

The Gates of Heaven will not be Opened for the Souls of Those Who…

What is the Outcome of those who Deny Muhammad and the Quran?

When Allah Shall Say: so Taste the Doom for what you Used to Earn?

How will be the Beds and the Coverings over the Disbelievers in the Afterlife?

———————————————————–

Many people do not know Allah. This series is an attempt to help them in order to know their Creator.

Verses 7:39-41 of the Noble Quran talk about:

1) How does Allah requite the guilty and the evildoers?,

2) What is the outcome of those who deny Muhammad and the Quran?

3) The gates of Heaven will not be opened for the Souls of those who…,

4) When Allah Shall Say: so taste the doom for what you used to earn? And

5) How will be the bed and the coverings over the Disbelievers in the Afterlife?

———————————————————–

In the previous article (36) you have seen that:

Allah will say to the disbelievers on the Day of Resurrection: ‘Enter into the Fire among, the number of, nations of jinn and man who passed away before you’. Every time a nation enters, the Fire, it curses its sister-nation, the one that came before it, because of its having gone astray on account of it, until, when they have all followed, caught up with, one another there, the last of them, those who were the followers, shall say to the first of them, those whom they revered and followed: ‘Our Lord, these led us astray; so give them a double chastisement of the Fire.’ He, exalted be He, will say, ‘For each, of you and them, will be a double, chastisement, but you do not know’ what will be for each party.

———————————————————–

The meaning of verse 7:39

And the first of them shall say to the last of them, ‘You have no advantage over us, since you did not disbelieve because of us: you and we are equal in this predicament. God, exalted be He, says to them: So taste the chastisements for what you used to earn’.

In other words, the first (disbelieved) nation shall say to the last of nations: You were no whit better than us such that our torment should be double yours, for you disbelieved as we disbelieved and worshipped others beside Allah as we did. Allah then tells them: so taste the doom for what you used to earn, for what you used to say and do of idolatry in the life of this world.

The meaning of verse 7:40

Lo! those who deny Our revelations, Muhammad and the Quran and scorn believing in them, for them the gates of Heaven will not be opened for them, to receive their works or when their spirits are carried up to it after death, for instead they are taken down into jail with torment; in contrast to the believer, for whom the gates are opened, and his spirit is carried up into the seventh heaven, as is stated by Muhammad.

Back to the disbelievers, nor will they enter the Garden, Paradise, until the camel passes through the eye of the needle, which is impossible, and so is their entry [into Paradise]; they will not enter Paradise just as a camel cannot pass through the eye of a needle; it is also said that this means: they will not enter Paradise until a rope goes through a needle’s eye. So, with this requital, We requite those who are sinful, through disbelief; thus does Allah requite the guilty.

The meaning of verse 7:41

Theirs will be a bed of hell, a bed of fire, and over them coverings of hell, of fire. Thus does Allah requite wrong-doers, the evildoers.

Verses 7:39-41in different English translations of the meanings of Arabic Quran:

QARIB:

39) Then, the first will say to the last: ‘you were no better than us. ‘ so taste the punishment for what you have earned.

40) The gates of heaven shall not be opened for those who have belied and grew proud against our verses; nor shall they enter paradise until a camel shall pass through the eye of a needle. as such we shall recompense the sinners.

41) Gehenna (hell) shall be their cradle, and layers of fire shall cover them. as such we recompense the harmdoers.

SHAKIR:

39) And the foremost of them will say to the last of them: so you have no preference over us; therefore taste the chastisement for what you earned

40) Surely (as for) those who reject our communications and turn away from them haughtily, the doors of heaven shall not be opened for them, nor shall they enter the garden until the camel pass through the eye of the needle; and thus do we reward the guilty

41) They shall have a bed of hell-fire and from above them coverings (of it); and thus do we reward the unjust

PICKTHAL:

39) And the first of them saith unto the last of them: ye were no whit better than us, so taste the doom for what ye used to earn.

40) Lo! they who deny our revelations and scorn them, for them the gates of heaven will nor be opened not will they enter the garden until the camel goeth through the needle’s eye. thus do we requite the guilty.

41) Theirs will be a bed of hell, and over them coverings (of hell). thus do we requite wrong-doers.

YUSUFALI:

39) Then the first will say to the last: “see then! no advantage have ye over us; so taste ye of the penalty for all that ye did !”

40) To those who reject our signs and treat them with arrogance, no opening will there be of the gates of heaven, nor will they enter the garden, until the camel can pass through the eye of the needle: such is our reward for those in sin.

41) For them there is hell, as a couch (below) and folds and folds of covering above: such is our requital of those who do wrong.

Chapter 6 of the Quran (108) Do not Follow those who

Do not follow those who deny the Day of Judgment and the Afterlife. Do not follow those who ascribe equals to Allah and who are associating others with Allah like partners, sons, wife, daughters, Angels, Jinn, etc.); Allah is the only one True God.

In the previous articles, the unbelievers among the Arabs used to follow as rules the Satan’s footsteps in respect to the lawful and unlawful food.

The Arabs in some occasions used to forbid eating the male sheep, goat, camel and cow and they sometimes forbid eating the female sheep, goat, camel and cow; they believed that Allah commanded to do that.

The Prophet Muhammad told them that Allah did not command such rules.

In Ayah 6:150, Allah commanded His Prophet Muhammad to say to those unbelievers:

Come, bring your witnesses who can bear witness that Allah forbade (all that you claim of) crops and cattle.

And if they falsely bear witness that Allah has forbidden such crops and cattle, you do not bear witness with them.

If they testify to their falsehood, do not testify with them, nor follow the wishes of those who belie our signs and verses.

You do not follow the whims of those who deny our revelations

You do not follow the the notions of those who deny the Quran

You do not follow those who deny the resurrection after death

You do not follow those who belie the Day of Judgment

You do not follow those who reject the belief in the Afterlife

You do not follow those who ascribe equals to their Lord, Allah.

You do not follow those who are associating others with Allah like sons, wife, daughters, Angels, Jinn, etc.); Allah is the only one True God.

The verse 6:150 in different translations

QARIB:

say: ‘bring those witnesses of yours who can testify that Allah has forbidden this. ‘If they testify to it, do not testify with them, nor follow the wishes of those who belie our verses, and disbelieve in the everlasting life and ascribe equals to their lord.

SHAKIR:

say: bring your witnesses who should bear witness that Allah has forbidden this, then if they bear witness, do not bear witness with them; and follow not the low desires of those who reject our communications and of those who do not believe in the hereafter, and they make (others) equal to their lord

PICKTHAL:

say: come, bring your witnesses who can bear witness that Allah forbade (all) this. and if they bear witness, do not thou bear witness with them. follow thou not the whims of those who deny our revelations, those who believe not in the hereafter and deem (others) equal with their lord.

YUSUFALI:

say: “bring forward your witnesses to prove that Allah did forbid so and so.” if they bring such witnesses, be not thou amongst them: nor follow thou the vain desires of such as treat our signs as falsehoods, and such as believe not in the hereafter: for they hold others as equal with their guardian-lord.

Allah loves (2) those who are Clean and Pure

Allah is the Pure and He loves the clean and pure

Allah loves those who turn to him in repentance

Allah loves those who turn to him in repentance.  Allah loves those who cleanse and purify themselves.  Allah loves those who have a care for turning away from transgression and filth.  Allah is the Pure and He loves the clean and pure

—————————————-

The verse 2:222 of the Quran, shows that Allah Loves those who turn to him in repentance and He loves those who cleanse and purify themselves.

The verse 2:222 means:

They will ask you about the monthly period, that is, menstruation and the spot in which it occurs, and how should one treat his wife during it.

They question you (O Muhammad) concerning menstruation,

They ask you about sexual intercourse during menstruation,

Say O Muhammad: it is harmful, It is an ailment, it is filth and unlawful, or the place whence it issues is so;

So keep away from women at such time

So refrain from having sexual intercourse during menstruation

And go not unto them

Do not have sex with them

Till they are cleansed of menstruation

Until they are pure, that is, until they have cleansed themselves after its cessation;

And when they have purified themselves and have had a major ritual ablution

Then come to them, in sexual intercourse, as Allah has commanded you’

You may have sex with them (as Allah hath enjoined upon you.

However, Muslims are allowed to do everything with their wives save the sexual intercourse; in some cultures, men do not eat with menstruating women!

Truly, Allah loves, that is, He rewards and honors, those who repent, of sins, those who repent of transgression and He loves those who have a care for cleanness those who have a care for turning away from transgression and filth.

Allah loves those who cleanse themselves, from impurities.

Verse 2:222 in four different translations

QARIB:

They ask you about menstruation. Say: ‘it is an injury. Stay away from women during their menstrual periods and do not approach them until they are cleansed. When they have cleansed themselves, then come to them from where Allah has commanded you. Allah loves those who turn to him in repentance and he loves those who cleanse themselves. ‘

SHAKIR:

And they ask you about menstruation. say: it is a discomfort; therefore keep aloof from the women during the menstrual discharge and do not go near them until they have become clean; then when they have cleansed themselves, go in to them as Allah has commanded you; surely Allah loves those who turn much (to him), and he loves those who purify themselves

PICKTHAL:

They question thee (O Muhammad) concerning menstruation. say: it is an illness, so let women alone at such times and go not in unto them till they are cleansed. and when they have purified themselves, then go in unto them as Allah hath enjoined upon you. truly Allah loveth those who turn unto him, and loveth those who have a care for cleanness.

YUSUFALI:

They ask thee concerning women’s courses. say: they are a hurt and a pollution: so keep away from women in their courses, and do not approach them until they are clean. But when they have purified themselves, ye may approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for you by Allah. for Allah loves those who turn to him constantly and he loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.
