Atheists in Quran (45) their arrogance: diagnosis and treatment

This article declare three important issues about the Atheists; they are 1) How they becomes arrogant? 2) How they express their arrogance? 3) The treatment of their arrogance

———————————

How they become arrogant?

Man habitually forgets the fact that he is a weak small creature and that whatever strength he may have does not originate from within himself, but from Allah, the source of all strength and power.

Forgetting his bond with Allah, man begins to swell and take on prides.

Arrogance, thus, begins to establish itself within the heart of human being.

On the other hand, man has an essential evident enemy, the Satan.

Satan’s job = to make man astray

Satan’s target = to lead man to hell

Satan, who doomed himself because of his arrogance, works on man to increase his arrogance knowing that through it he can bring man to deterioration.

How the Atheists express their arrogance?

The Atheist disputes Allah’s revelations even when they are clear, addressing human nature with the sort of argument that appeals to it.

The Atheist also claims to himself and others that he is only raising questions because he is not yet convinced.

However, Allah who knows the inner feelings and secret thoughts of all His creatures makes clear that all this is the result of man’s arrogance.

Such arrogance prompts man to argue and dispute Allah’s revelations over which there can be no dispute.

Such arrogance also drives man to aspire to what is beyond his status and what his nature cannot attain.

Yet he has no solid basis for such argument for it is rooted deeply in nothing but his own arrogance:

“As for those who dispute Allah’s revelations, with no authority granted to them, there is nothing in their hearts but a quest for a greatness they will never attain.” (Verse 56)

If only man would understand the truth about himself and the universe, recognizing his role and not trying to exceed it, appreciating

that he is one of countless creatures each doing their role by Allah’s will and according to His design which He alone knows, he would certainly feel relaxed, humble, living in peace with himself and with the world around him.

If man did this, he would easily and readily submit himself to Allah. He would also do this without any hesitation.

“Seek, then, refuge with Allah, for He is the One who hears all and sees all.” (Verse 56)

Seeking refuge with Allah against arrogance is indicative of how grisly it is.

The believers seek Allah’s refuge in order to escape what is ghastly, horrible and evil. Arrogance combines all these. Moreover, it is hard for the arrogant person and for those around him. It causes harm to the heart in which it stirs and to other people’s hearts.

Arrogance is an evil we should seek refuge with Allah from it.

Allah hears all and sees all.

Arrogance is manifested by visible action and/or audible words.

Therefore, it is left to Allah to decide upon it as He pleases.

Man is then told of his true position in this great universe: how small he is in comparison to some of Allah’s creatures, the great magnitude of which is readily visible and better appreciated on careful examination:

“The creation of the heavens and the earth is indeed greater than the creation of man; yet most people do not understand.” (Verse 57)

The heavens and the earth are there for man to see and to measure himself in relation to them. When he knows the reality of the proportions of distance, dimension, size and power, he reduces his pride, feels his smallness and almost disappears. He can only hold his own when he remembers the superior element Allah has granted him, and for which Allah has honored him.

A quick glance at the universe is sufficient to appreciate all this. The earth on which we live is merely a small satellite of the sun: its mass compared to the mass of the sun is no more than three to a million, while its size is one-millionth of the size of the sun. Yet the sun is only one of around billion suns our galaxy includes.

Man now knows that there are around billion such galaxies dispersed in the great expanse of the universe.

Still, what we have discovered of the universe is merely a small part; it is so great that we become dazed when we even try to imagine it. The distance between the sun and us is about 93 million miles. The sun is the head of the family of our planet earth, and most probably, the sun is the mother of the earth.

Therefore, the earth remains close to its mother, standing merely 93 million miles away from it!

The diameter of our galaxy = one hundred billion light years, with one light year measuring 5.8 billion miles, because light travels at the speed of 186,000 miles per second.

The closest galaxy to our own is around 750,000 light years away.

We may say again that these distances and dimensions are the best man’s little knowledge has determined.

Scientists acknowledge that all their discoveries cover only a small part of this great universe.

Allah says:

“The creation of the heavens and the earth is indeed greater than the creation of man; yet most people do not understand” (Verse 57) When we speak of Allah’s power and ability, the concepts of greater or smaller, harder or easier do not apply. He creates everything by a single word, ‘Be!’ The reference here is to how things appear in themselves and how people see and measure them. How does man compare to this great expanse of the universe?

How high can his arrogance take him in Allah’s great creation?

“The blind and the seeing are not equal; nor can those who believe and do good works and those who do evil be deemed equal.” (Verse 58)

The one who is able to see learns and understands, recognizing his station. He does not give himself prides, nor does he allow conceit to distort his judgment.

By contrast, a blind person cannot recognize his position in relation to his surroundings. Therefore, he misjudges his position and what is around him.

The same applies to those believers who do good works and those who do evil. The first group see things for what they are and form accurate ideas, while the other group misjudges all due to their blind ignorance. They harm themselves and others, and above all, they assign to themselves an erroneous position in relation to their environment.

They are blind, for true blindness is that of the mind:

“How seldom you reflect.” (Verse 58)

Had we reflected, we would have known. The whole thing is clear, needing only some reflection before it becomes very apparent.

If only we would remember the hereafter, be certain of its coming, reflect on our position then and recall how we will then stand

“The Last Hour is sure to come: of this there is no doubt. Yet most people will not believe.” (Verse 59)

Because they do not believe, they argue and give themselves prides; they do not submit to the truth and do not limit themselves to their rightful position.

The treatment of their arrogance

Addressing our worship to Allah, praying and appealing to Him, are all means to cure hearts of arrogance, which is the evil that leads people to dispute His revelations and signs without any clear evidence.

Allah opens the door for us to address and pray to Him. He tells us that He has committed Himself to respond to those who pray to Him, warning those who are too proud that they will suffer total humiliation:

“Your Lord says: Call on Me, and I shall answer you. Those who are too proud to worship Me shall enter hell humiliated.” (Verse 60)

Supplication and prayer must observe certain manners.

  • Hearts must be totally dedicated to Allah,
  • Be sure that He will answer our prayer.
  • We must not suggest a particular form, time, or circumstance for answering it. To make such a suggestion is improper when appealing to Allah. We should be clear in our minds that it is a blessing that we address our prayers to Allah, and that His response is another blessing.

Those who are too proud to pray to Allah and appeal to Him deserve their just reward, which leads them to enter hell in total humiliation.

Such is the fitting end of the arrogance that fills some hearts in this small planet and short life, forgetting the greatness of Allah’s creation, let alone His own greatness. It is suitable requital for forgetting the Last Hour, which will inevitably come.

The verses 40:56-60 in different translations:

QARIB:

56- (As for) those who dispute the verses of Allah without authority having been given to them, there is nothing in their chests but pride; that, they shall never attain. therefore seek refuge in Allah, surely, he is the hearer, the seer.

57-Indeed, the creation of heavens and earth is greater than the creation of mankind, yet most people do not know.

58-The blind and the seeing are not equal, nor are those who believe and do good works, and the wrongdoer yet you seldom reflect.

59-There is no doubt that the hour is coming, yet most people do not believe.

60-Your Lord has said: ‘call on me and i will answer you. those who are too proud to worship me shall enter gehenna utterly abject. ‘

SHAKIR:

56-Surely (as for) those who dispute about the communications of Allah without any authority that has come to them, there is naught in their breasts but (a desire) to become great which they shall never attain to; therefore seek refuge in Allah, surely he is the hearing, the seeing

57-Certainly, the creation of the heavens and the earth is greater than the creation of the men, but most people do not know

58-And the blind and the seeing are not alike, nor those who believe and do good and the evil-doer; little is it that you are mindful

59-Most surely, the hour is coming, there is no doubt therein, but most people do not believe

60-And your Lord says: call upon me, i will answer you; surely those who are too proud for my service shall soon enter hell abased

PICKTHAL:

56-Lo! Those who wrangle concerning the revelations of Allah without a warrant having come unto them, there is naught else in their breasts save pride which they will never attain. So take thou refuge in Allah. lo! he, only he, is the hearer, the seer.

57-Assuredly, the creation of the heavens and the earth is greater than the creation of mankind; but most of mankind know not.

58-And the blind man and the seer are not equal, neither are those who believe and do good works (equal with) the evil-doer. little do ye reflect!

59-Lo! The hour is surely coming, there is no doubt thereof; yet most of mankind believe not.

60-And your Lord hath said: pray unto me and i will hear your prayer. lo! those who scorn my service, they will enter hell, disgraced.

YUSUFALI:

56-Those who dispute about the signs of Allah without any authority bestowed on them,- there is nothing in their breasts but (the quest of) greatness, which they shall never attain to: seek refuge, then, in Allah: it is he who hears and sees (all things).

57-Assuredly, the creation of the heavens and the earth is a greater (matter) than the creation of men: yet most men understand not.

58-Not equal are the blind and those who (clearly) see: nor are (equal) those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and those who do evil. little do ye learn by admonition!

59-The hour will certainly come: therein is no doubt: yet most men believe not.

60-And your Lord says: “call on me; i will answer your (prayer): but those who are too arrogant to serve me will surely find themselves in hell – in humiliation!”

The Spider in Bible vs. Quran vs. Science

The Bible says that the spider is found in kings’ palaces, Locusts have no king and whoever eats the eggs of vipers will die.

The Quran says that the female spider is the one mainly undertaking the building of the house and the spider’s house, from the physical and moral point of view, is the weakest house of all houses

———————————————————

One of the expanded dogmas of mankind is that the Quran is quoted or borrowed from the Bible.

This creed is established upon studies of many prejudiced intellectual scholars

In this series of articles (1-16), it is obvious that the Quran is quite different from the Bible.

It is also very clear that the Quran preceded the sciences in many aspects. In the present topic of the Spider, the smart reader will answer easily this false dogmatic inquiry: Is the Quran quoted from the Bible. The Bible which says :

1) Four things on earth are small, Ants, Coneys, locusts and a spider,

2) Locusts have no king,

3) The spider is found in kings’ palaces and

4) Whoever eats the eggs of vipers will die. Or the Quran which says

1) The female spider is the one mainly undertaking the building of the house,

2) The spider’s house, from the physical and moral point of view, is the weakest house of all houses and

3) The weakness is in the spider’s house and not in its threads Before dealing with the topic of the Spider in Quran vs. Bible vs. sciences, it is essential to remember that the total words of the Bible are 788,280 while total words of the Quran are 77,473. It follows that, the Bible has the potential of more than 10 times the Quran to talk about the spider word-wise. The spider is mentioned in three verses in the Bible (all are in the Old Testament and never mentioned in the New Testament).

On the other hand, the spider is mentioned in one verse in the Quran. ———————————————————

The Spider in the Bible Proverbs 30 24 “Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise: 25 Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer; 26 Coneys are creatures of little power, yet they make their home in the crags; 27 locusts have no king, yet they advance together in ranks; 28 a spider can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings’ palaces.

In the “Arabic” Bible, the verse 24 says:” the smallest”; this adjective is modified in the modern English version to “small”. However, there are thousands of creatures that are smaller than the Ants, Coneys, locusts and a spider and are wise also as for examples the microbes, protozoa and fungi. Also, why the spider is found in the kings’ places specifically? Again, why the locusts have no king although they have? Job 8 13 Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so perishes the hope of the godless. 14 What he trusts in is fragile; what he relies on is a spider’s web. In this verse, the trust of the hypocrite is compared to the spider’s web or house.

This meaning is a beautiful one. Isaiah 59:5-6 Talking about those who are unjust and lie etc. 5 They hatch the eggs of vipers and spin a spider’s web. Whoever eats their eggs will die, and when one is broken, an adder is hatched. 6 Their cobwebs are useless for clothing; they cannot cover themselves with what they make. Their deeds are evil deeds, and acts of violence are in their hands. Herein, Isaiah describes the wicked as those which “weave the spider’s web” i.e., their works and designs are, like the spider’s web, vain and useless. However, scientifically speaking, the one who eat the eggs of vipers will not die. Guaranteed. Even the one who eats the viper itself will not die. I wonder why the Bible put itself in such critical scientific conflicts. ———————————————————

The Spider in the Quran: Surah 29: [39] (Remember also) Qaroun, Pharaoh, and Haman: there came to them Moses with Clear Signs, but they behaved with insolence on the earth; yet they could not overreach (Us). [40] Each one of them We seized for his crime: of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): it was not Allah who injured (or oppressed) them: they injured (and oppressed) their own souls. [41] The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of the Spider, who builds (to itself) a house; but truly the flimsiest of houses is the Spider’s house; if they but knew. [42] Verily Allah doth know of (every thing) whatever that they call upon besides Him: and He is Exalted (in power), Wise. [43] And such are the Parables We set forth for mankind, but only those understand them who have knowledge. [44] Allah created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): verily in that is a Sign for those who believe. N.B.: Qaroun and Haman were the best friends of the Pharaoh of Moses. Qaroun was a very wealthy and powerful Israelite but was pro-Pharaoh. Haman was a top Egyptian official, he was chief of the army and police. Both Qaroun and Haman are not mentioned in the Bible. Back to the Spider, the Surah number 29 is named “Al-Ankaboot” which means the spider.

Naming the Surah with the singular form “Al-Ankaboot” indicates the solitary life of this animal, except at times of mating and egg hatching. This can be compared to the Surah “Al-Nahel” (The Bees) and the Surah “Al-Namel” (The Ants), where the names are plural since these insects live in social groups. The word “Al-Ankaboot” is used for the feminine singular. The verse indicates that the female spider is the one mainly undertaking the building of the house. Accordingly, building the spider’s house is an assignment carried on by the female spiders. It is the female which has in its body the glands for secretion of the silk substance from which the spider’s house is made. The spider’s house, from the physical point of view, is the weakest house of all, because it is made out of a number of very delicate silk threads. These threads are interwoven, leaving large separating spaces at most times. Therefore, they do not protect from the heat of the sun, or the extreme cold. These threads do not form adequate shade, nor protect from the rain, storming winds, or the dangers of attackers.

The Quran is very strict and clear when saying that the weakness is in the spider’s house and not the threads; (the flimsiest of houses). The spider’s house is the flimsiest house, whether physically or morally.

This has been proven by the late studies in zoology. In other words, the Quran preceded the modern scientific findings by more than 1300 years. The threads of the spider’s house are made of very delicate silk. The thickness of one thread is usually one million of the squared inch, or one part of four thousand parts of the thickness of the ordinary human hair. Despite its delicacy, it is the strongest biological substance known to mankind so far. The silk threads which make up the spider’s web are considered stronger than steel, and their strength is surpassed only by the melted quartz. The thin thread stretches to five times its length before it is cut. Therefore, the scientists call it “biological steel” or “bio-steel”. It is twenty times stronger than the ordinary metal steel. Its tolerance measures 300,000 pound for the square inch. Hypothetically speaking, should there be a thick rope of the spider’s threads, in the size of the thumb, it can easily carry a “jumbo” jet. In addition, the spider’s house, morally speaking, is the flimsiest of all houses, because it is deprived of all love and kindness, which are the pillars of any happy home. The female kills the male as soon as the fertilization takes place. Being larger in size and more violent, the female kills the male and eats its body. Also, the female eats its youngsters mercilessly. In some types, the female dies after fertilizing its eggs, which are usually fostered in a silk bag. When the eggs hatch, spider lings come out to find themselves in a very crowded place inside the eggs bag. The siblings then start to fight for food, space or both. The brother kills its brother and sister, and the sister kills its sister and brother, until the fight ends with a few spider lings remaining. These spider lings shed their skin and tear the eggs bag to come out one after the other with unhappy memories. They all then spread in the surrounding environment. Each female starts to build its house. On the road to achieve this goal, some of the spider lings die, whereas those who survive repeat the same tragedy. This makes the spider’s house the most violent and ruthless house, lacking all forms of kinship. Hence, Allah the Almighty sets it as a parable in its weakness and frailty because it lacks the simplest form of kindness between the husband and wife, the mother and her children, the brother and his siblings, and the sister and her siblings. These facts were unknown to any human at the time of revelation, and for long centuries thereafter. They have been discovered after extensive studies of the behavior of the spider by hundreds of scientists, for tens of years, until they were realized in the last decades of the twentieth century. That is why Allah ended the noble verse with His saying “if they but knew”. Some deep meaning of the verse: A- The house of the spider is not merely its dwelling place. Being the sticky net it is, it constitutes a trap for flying insects such as flies and others. These insects are a prey on which the spider feeds. Similarly, those idolaters who revere gods besides Allah, and call people to those revered gods, are in fact calling them to an artful trap which leads them to their death and destruction in this life and the afterlife. B- Warning against those with corrupt invocations who revere others besides Allah, whether money or whim. This warning is issued through indicating their hidden strings with which they hunt their victims. These strings can be money, sex, power, or any other hidden string which destroys the victim once it is trapped. Now, I think it is easy to answer this forged dogmatic question:

Is the Quran quoted from the Bible?

Was Sarah Abraham’ Sister or Abraham’s Wife or Both?

In the Bible, Sarah was Abraham’ Sister and she was Abraham’s wife. In the Noble Quran, Sarah was Abraham’s wife and she was not his Sister! According to God’ Law in the Bible, if a man marries his sister, it is forbidden, it is a disgrace, it is a wicked thing, it is a shameful thing. He has dishonored his sister and will be held responsible. He is cursed! In addition, both the man and the woman must be cut off (Killed).

—————————

In the Bible: Was Sarah Abraham’ Sister or Abraham’s wife or Both?

She was both!

Yes she was the daughter of Abraham’s father i.e. she was Abraham’ Sister. In addition, she was Abraham’s wife

Read what Abraham said about her in Genesis 20:12

Genesis 20:12 in different versions of the Bible:

New International Version (NIV)

Besides, she really is my sister, the daughter of my father though not of my mother; and she became my wife.

King James Version (KJV)

And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

American Standard Version (ASV)

Moreover, she is indeed my sister, the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife:

—————————

What God’ Law says about a man marries his sister?

It is forbidden by God’ Law

It is a disgrace.

it is a wicked thing.

it is a shameful thing.

He has dishonored his sister and will be held responsible.

He is Cursed; Amen.

They must be cut off (Killed).

—————————

Leviticus 18:9 in different versions of the Bible:

New International Version (NIV)

“‘Do not have sexual relations with your sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere.

King James Version (KJV)

The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

American Standard Version (ASV)

The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or the daughter of thy mother, whether born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

—————————

Leviticus 20:17 in different versions of the Bible:

New International Version (NIV)

‘If a man marries his sister, the daughter of either his father or his mother, and they have sexual relations, it is a disgrace. They must be cut off before the eyes of their people. He has dishonored his sister and will be held responsible.

King James Version (KJV)

And if a man shall take his sister, his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister’s nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

American Standard Version (ASV)

And if a man shall take his sister, his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a shameful thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people: he hath uncovered his sister’s nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

Deuteronomy 27:22 in different versions of the Bible:

New International Version (NIV)

“Cursed is the man who sleeps with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.” Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”

King James Version (KJV)

Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

American Standard Version (ASV)

Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

In the Quran: Was Sarah Abraham’ Sister or Abraham’s wife or Both?

She was Abraham’s wife

She was not Abraham’ Sister

According to the Noble Quran, it is forbidden for a man to marry his sister

It is a big sin to marry your sister

Its punishment is severe on the Day of Judgment.

I wonder why the Biblical writers said that Abraham married his sister Sarah while she was not!

According to God’ Law in the Bible:

Had Abraham done a forbidden thing?

Has Abraham violated God’ Law?

Had Abraham done a shameful thing?

Had Abraham dishonored his sister?

Was Abraham Cursed?

Would Abraham and Sarah have been cut off and killed?

No Muslim believes in that.

Abraham was a great Prophet and he is the father of the Prophets.

However, what the Western Media would have said if the Quran was the book that says Abraham married his sister?

Why has the Nurse embraced Islam? A real touchy story from the United Kingdom

The Nurse and the Muslim Patient – A True Story from the United Kingdom

My name is Cassie, I am 23 years old. I graduated as a qualified nurse this year and was given my first position as a home nurse.

My patient was an English gentleman in his early 80s who suffered from Alzheimer’s. In the first meeting, the patient was given his record and from it I could see that he was a convert to the religion of Islam, therefore he was a Muslim.

I knew from this that I would need to take into account some modes of treatment that may go against his faith, and therefore try to adapt my care to meet his needs. I brought in some ‘halal’ meat to cook for him and ensured that there was no pork or alcohol in the premises as I did some research which showed that these were forbidden in Islam.

My patient was in a very advanced stage of his condition so a lot of my colleagues could not understand why I was going through so much effort for him. But I understood that a person who commits to a faith deserves that commitment to be respected, even if they are not in a position to understand.

Anyway after a few weeks with my patient I began to notice some patterns of movement.

At first I thought it was some copied motions he’s seen someone doing, but I saw him repeat the movement at particular time; morning, afternoon, evening.

The movements were to raise his hands, bow and then put his head to the ground. I could not understand it. He was also repeating sentences in another language, I couldn’t figure out what language it was as his speech was slurred but I know the same verses were repeated daily.

Also there was something strange, he didn’t allow me to feed him with my left hand (I am left-handed).

Somehow I knew this linked to his religion but didn’t know how.

One of my colleagues told me about paltalk as a place for debates and discussions and as I did not know any Muslims except for my patient I thought it would be good to speak to someone live and ask questions. I went on the Islam section and entered the room ‘True Message’.

Here I asked questions regarding the repeated movements and was told that these were the actions of prayer. I did not really believe it until someone posted a link of the Islamic prayer on youtube.

I was shocked.

A man who has lost all memory of his children, of his occupation, and could barely eat and drink was able to remember not only actions of prayer but verses that were in another language.

This was nothing short of incredible and I knew that this man was devout in his faith, which made me want to learn more in order to care for him the best I could.

I came into the paltalk room as often as I could and was given a link to read the translation of the Quran and listen to it.

The chapter of the ‘Bee’ gave me chills and I repeated it several times a day.

I saved a recording of the Quran on my iPod and gave it to my patient to listen to, he was smiling and crying, and in reading the translation I could see why.

I applied what I gained from paltalk to care for my patient but gradually found myself coming to the room to find answers for myself.

I never really took the time to look at my life; I never knew my father, my mother died when I was 3, me and my brother were raised by our grandparents who died 4 years ago, so now its just the two of us.

But despite all this loss, I always thought I was happy, content.

It was only after spending time with my patient that felt like I was missing something. I was missing that sense of peace and tranquility my patient, even through suffering felt.

I wanted that sense of belonging and a part of something that he felt, even with no one around him.

I was given a list of mosques in my area by a lady on paltalk and went down to visit one. I watched the prayer and could not hold back my tears.

I felt drawn to the mosque every day and the imam and his wife would give me books and tapes and welcome any questions I had.

Every question I asked at the mosque and on paltalk was answered with such clarity and depth that could do nothing but accept them.

I have never practiced a faith but always believed that there was a God; I just did not know how to worship Him.

One evening I came on paltalk and one of the speakers on the mic addressed me. He asked me if I have any questions, I said no. He asked if I was happy with the answers I was given, I said yes.

He asked then what was stopping me accepting Islam, I could not answer.

I went to the mosque to watch the dawn prayer. The imam asked me the same question, I could not answer.

I then went to tend to my patient, I was feeding him and as I looked in his eyes I just realized, he was brought to me for a reason and the only thing stopping me from accepting was fear…. not fear in the sense of something bad, but fear of accepting something good, and thinking that I was not worthy like this man.

That afternoon I went to the mosque and asked the imam if I could say my declaration of faith, the Shahadah.: lā ilāha illà al-Lāh, Muhammadun rasūlu Al-Lāh.  There is no god except Allah, Muhammad is Allah’s messenger.

He helped me through it and guided me through what I would need to do next.

I cannot explain the feeling I felt when I said it.

It was like someone woke me up from sleep and sees everything more clearly.

The feeling was overwhelming joy, clarity and most of all…. peace.

The first person I told was not my brother but my patient.

I went to him, and before I even opened my mouth he cried and smiled at me.

I broke down in front of him, I owed him so much.

I came home logged on to paltalk and repeated the shahadah for the room.

They all helped me so much and even though I had never seen a single one of them, they felt closer to me than my own brother.

I did eventually call my brother to tell him and although he wasn’t happy, he supported me and said he would be there, I couldn’t ask for any more.

After my first week as a Muslim my patient passed away in his sleep while I was caring for him. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon.

He died a peaceful death and I was the only person with him.

He was like the father I never had and he was my doorway to Islam.

From the day of my Shahadah to this very day and for every day for as long as I live, I will pray that Allah shows mercy on him and grant him every good deed I perform in the tenfold.

I loved him for the sake of Allah and I pray each night to become an atoms weight of the Muslim he was.

Islam is a religion with an open door; it is there for those who want to enter it…. Verily Allah is the Most Merciful, Most Kind.

This is Allah (67) Moses Prayed to Allah to forgive him

Moses Prayed to Allah: My Lord, Forgive Me and Aaron

Moses prayed to Allah and said: My Lord, forgive me, what I have done to my brother, and forgive my brother because he did not fight the idolaters.

Moses Was Angry and Bitterly Grieved Because of the Israelites?

When Moses returned to his people, angry, because of them, and bitterly grieved, he said, to them: ‘Evil is that, that is, evil is the manner of succession, which you have followed in my place, after I had gone, this idolatry of yours.

Why Did Moses Cast Down the Tablets of the Torah?

Moses cast down the Tablets of the Torah, , and they were broken into pieces.  Moses was angry for the sake of his Lord, Allah, because of what the Israelites have done.

Why Did Moses Seize his Brother Aaron And Drag Him in Anger?

Moses seized his brother Aaron by the head, with his right hand, and seized him by the beard, with his left hand, dragging Aaron toward him in anger because of what the Israelites have done.

In English Son of My Mother and In Arabic Ibna Ummi

Aaron said to Moses: ‘O, son of my mother! (ibna ummī, in Arabic).  Why did Aaron say ibna ummī by which he meant son of my mother and he did not say son of my father although they were full brothers?

Were the Israelites Close to Killing Moses Brother Aaron?

Aaron said to Moses: ‘O, son of my mother! Truly the people judged me weak and they were close to killing me due to my opposition.

Moses Prayed to Allah: My Lord! Have Mercy on Me and on Aaron

Moses prayed to Allah and said: My Lord! Have mercy on me and on Aaron and Have mercy on my brother Aaron, and admit us into Your mercy, for You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.

————————————

Many people do not know Allah. This series (1-67 so far) is an attempt to help them to know their Creator.

Verses 7:150-151 of the Noble Quran talk about:

1) Why was Moses angry and bitterly grieved because of the Israelites?

2) Why Did Moses cast down the Tablets of the Torah?

3) Why Did Moses seize his brother Aaron and drag him in anger?

4) Were the Israelites close to killing Moses brother Aaron? And

5) Moses prayed to Allah: My Lord, forgive me and my brother and Have mercy on us.

————————————

In the previous article (70) the Israelites, after Moses had departed for the communion with Allah, made of their ornaments, which they had borrowed from Pharaoh’s folk on the pretext of a wedding celebration, and which remained in their possession, a calf, which the Samaritan had fashioned for them therefrom; a mere living body of flesh and blood, which lowed, that is, which made audible sounds like a cow.

But how come that the Samaritan made for them a cow which made audible sounds from the gold?

It is said that, it [the calf] was transformed in this way when the dust, which the Samaritan had collected from where the hoof of Gabriel’s steed had trodden, was placed in its mouth, for it has the effect of giving life to that in which it is placed.

Then Allah asks:

Did they not see that it spoke not to them, nor guided them to any way?,

So how can it be taken as a god?

Yet they took it as such, a god, and were evildoers, for taking it so.

————————————

The meaning of verse 7:150

And when Moses returned to his people, angry, because of them, and bitterly grieved, he said, to them: ‘Evil is that, that is, evil is the manner of succession, which you have followed in my place, after I had gone, this idolatry of yours. Would you hasten on the judgment of your Lord?’

And Moses cast down the Tablets, the Tablets of the Torah, angry for the sake of his Lord, and they were broken into pieces,

And he seized his brother by the head, that is, by the hair, with his right hand, and seized him by the beard, with his left hand, dragging him toward him, in anger.

Aaron said to Moses: ‘O, son of my mother!

Aaron said ibna ummī by which he meant son of my mother’

Um in Arabic means a mother

ummī means my mother

Ibna ummī means son of my mother

Why did Aaron say ibna ummī by which he meant son of my mother and he did not say son of my father?  Because the mention of ummī , my mother, is more affectionate in appealing to the heart),

Aaron said to Moses: ‘O, son of my mother! Truly the people judged me weak and they were close to killing me (if I have prevented them of making the idol calf and taking it as god).

Then Aaron continues: Do not make my enemies gloat over my misfortune, to rejoice thereat, by your humiliating me, and do not count me among the folk who have done evil’, by worshipping the calf, in your reproach of them.

In other words, the verse says:

And when Moses returned unto his people, angry and grieved when he heard the voice of sedition,

he said: Evil is that course which you took after I had left you; evil is what you did by worshipping the calf after I went to the mountain. Would you hasten on the judgment of your Lord; would you hasten by worshipping the calf the promise of your Lord?  And he cast down the tablets from his hand and two of them were broken, and he seized his brother by the head i.e. by Aaron’s hair, dragging him towards him. He (Aaron) said: Son of my mother! they were full brothers, but he mentioned their mother so that Moses might be gentle with him. Lo! the folk did judge me weak, humiliated me and almost killed me due to my opposition. Oh, make not mine enemies to triumph over me; make not the enemy, the folk of the calf, spite me and do not place me among the evil-doers! Do not harm me because of the folk of the calf.

The meaning of verse 7:151

Moses prayed to Allah and said, ‘My Lord, forgive me, what I have done to my brother, and forgive my brother, he includes him in the supplication in order to reconcile him and to fend off any gloating over his misfortune, and admit us into Your mercy, for You are the Most Merciful of the merciful’

In other word, Moses said: My Lord! Have mercy on me because of what I did to Aaron and Have mercy on my brother Aaron because he did not fight them; Bring us into Thy mercy in Your Garden. You are the Most Merciful of all who show mercy.

————————————

Verses 7:150-151 in different English translations of the meanings of Arabic Quran:

QARIB:

150) And when Moses returned to his nation, angry and sorrowful, he said: ‘evil is what you have done in my absence! would you hasten the retribution of your Lord? ‘ he threw down the tablets, and seizing his brother by the head, dragged him towards him. ‘son of my mother, ‘ said (Aaron), ‘the nation weakened me, and almost killed me. do not let my enemies rejoice over me; do not number me among the harmdoers.’

151) ‘Lord, ‘ said Moses, ‘forgive me and forgive my brother. admit us to your mercy, for you are most merciful of the merciful! ‘

SHAKIR:

150) And when Musa returned to his people, wrathful (and) in violent grief, he said: evil is it that you have done after me; did you turn away from the bidding of your Lord? and he threw down the tablets and seized his brother by the head, dragging him towards him. he said: son of my mother! surely the people reckoned me weak and had well-nigh slain me, therefore make not the enemies to rejoice over me and count me not among the unjust people

151) He said: my Lord! forgive me and my brother and cause us to enter into thy mercy, and thou art the most merciful of the merciful ones

PICKTHAL:

150) And when Moses returned unto his people, angry and grieved, he said: evil is that (course) which ye took after i had left you. would ye hasten on the judgment of your Lord? and he cast down the tablets, and he seized his brother by the head, dragging him toward him. he said: son of my mother! lo! the folk did judge me weak and almost killed me. oh, make not mine enemies to triumph over me and place me not among the evil-doers.

151) He said: my Lord! have mercy on me and on my brother; bring us into thy mercy, thou the most merciful of all who show mercy.

YUSUFALI:

150) When Moses came back to his people, angry and grieved, he said: “evil it is that ye have done in my place in my absence: did ye make haste to bring on the judgment of your Lord?” he put down the tablets, seized his brother by (the hair of) his head, and dragged him to him. Aaron said: “son of my mother! the people did indeed reckon me as naught, and went near to slaying me! make not the enemies rejoice over my misfortune, nor count thou me amongst the people of sin.”

151) Moses prayed: “o my Lord! forgive me and my brother! admit us to thy mercy! for thou art the most merciful of those who show mercy!”

Our Mother Eve in Bible vs. Quran; her lost rights

In the Bible: Eve was the responsible one for the first human sin.

In the Quran: Both Adam and Eve were responsible for the first human sin.

————————–

Women are your mother, your wife, your sister, your daughter, your neighbor, your colleague etc.

Islam gives all of them their proper rights.

This article is an attempt to honor our mother Eve and give her their lost rights.

————————–

Eve in the Bible:

The fall of Eve is the most significant of all the falls of human being. As a result of Eve’s fall, all mankind was affected. The Bible describes Eve’s fall in six successive steps

“1: Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2: And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4: And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

5: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

6: And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat” (Gen. 3).

It follows that Eve Listened, looked, desired, sinned and failed to accept the responsibility for her sin.

Eve Listened. It is evident from the text that Eve listened to what the devil told her. Before there is a fall, there is first attention and listening to the appeal of the devil.

Eve looked. The Bible says “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eye (Gen. 3: 6). It follows that, Eve looked and was soon hooked.

Eve desired. Eve’s response to the smooth words of the devil was, “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise (Gen. 3: 6), i.e. the devil had awakened her desire.

Eve sinned. She took of the fruit thereof, and did eat (Gen. 3: 6). Not only did Eve sin, but she was not satisfied until she had persuaded Adam to also sin and he did eat” (Gen. 3: 6).

Eve was deceived, but Adam was not. Eve was not remorseful and never asked God to forgive her and she looked typically like an impenitent sinners, she blamed another for her sin. “And the woman said, the serpent beguiled me, and I did eat” (Gen. 3: 13).

Eve did not submit to God and she also failed to resist the devil. Eve failed to accept the responsibility for her sin. Eve did not submit to God and she also failed to resist the devil. Eve never asked her God to forgive her.

These are the Biblical teachings.

————————–

Eve in the Quran:

In the Quran it is clear that both Adam and Eve sinned, and both together were responsible for the first sin.

“Then did Satan make them slip from the (Garden), and get them out of the state (of felicity) in which they had been. We said: “Get ye down, all (ye people), with enmity between yourselves. On earth will be your dwelling place and your means of livelihood for a time.” Surah 2:36

It means that Satan deceived both Adam and Eve.

It is not logic to accept that Adam and Eve never submitted to God and they never asked Him to forgive both of them.

The Quran says that they did and Allah forgave both of them and gave them and also gave us also a golden advice to live in success in this life and in the afterlife

The verses 7:23-26 of the Quran say:

[23] They said: “Our Lord! we have wronged our own souls: if Thou forgive us not and bestow not upon us Thy Mercy, we shall certainly be lost.”

[24] (Allah) said: “Get ye down, with enmity between yourselves. On earth will be your dwelling-place and your means of livelihood for a time.”

[25] He said: “Therein shall ye live, and therein shall ye die; but from it shall ye be taken out (at last).”

[26] O ye Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover your shame, as well as to be an adornment to you. But the raiment of righteousness, that is the best. Such are among the Signs of Allah, that they may receive admonition!

To conclude, according to the Bible Eve was the responsible for the first sin while the Quran says that both Adam and Eve were responsible. A The Bible says that Eve and also Adam never submitted to God and never asked God to forgive them for their sin, while the Quran says that they did and God forgave them and gave them and us the rule for success and happiness in this life and in the afterlife.

Why Do Priests & Preachers Enter Islam? The story of conversion of the Preacher Yusuf Estes (9)

3. How did your family respond to your conversion?

4. How about your congregation? What did they say?

5. Did you experience a lot of difficulties in changing religions?

6. Who was responsible for converting you?

7. Don’t you ever think about coming back to being a Christian?

——————————————

How a preacher or priest in Christianity can ever go to Islam?

How could a preacher have turned his back on the perfect plan of salvation of Jesus Christ on the cross for you sins and converted to Islam?

ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS

The ex- American preacher Yusuf Estes continues saying:

Now as I promised here are the answers to the questions many have asked me connected with my choice of Islam:

3. “How did your family respond to your conversion?”

Answer: This is always difficult for families to adjust to and it usually takes time. My family was no exception. Although my wife, children entered into Islam and eventually my father came to declare Islam to be the way of salvation for himself, still my own mother and many others in my family resented our going to Islam at first. Eventually, things became more normalized and we do stay in touch, although they are all still very much involved in Christianity.

Allah promises to test those who declare their faith in Him with many types of difficulties and family is one of those mentioned as a test in the Quran. I do pray for them and ask Allah to guide them to the very best in this life and the very best in the Next Life. But it is up to Allah if He wants them to be in Submission to Him (Islam means, submission to Allah) or not.

4. “How about your congregation? What did they say?”

Answer: I never had my own church. I was a music minister in the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana branch) in Texas and did my preaching to businessmen and informal gatherings. Those who knew me for the most part did not object and some even came to Islam, but there were a few who felt very upset and accused me of “Turing my back on Jesus, peace be upon him.” No matter what I tried to say or do, these particular individuals would not listen nor did they want to learn anything about Islam.

5. “Did you experience a lot of difficulties in changing religions?”

Answer: Certainly anyone who wants to consider Islam in these times, just as in times gone by, will have to recognize there will be certain difficulties and tests along the way. The followers of Jesus, peace be upon him, were highly criticized and persecuted even until death (read what Paul said he used to do to them in the Bible; Book of Acts of the Apostles). Those who followed Muhammad, peace be upon him, suffered at the hands of their very own tribes, yet they were determined to continue to worship Almighty God Alone, without partners and submit to His Will.

The biggest problem with non-Muslims, is their lack of understanding and lack of knowledge as to what Islam is really all about and who the Muslims are supposed to be. I pray for them all and ask Allah to forgive the Muslims for not showing a better picture to everyone.

6. “Who was responsible for converting you?”

Answer: As Muslims we believe that it is only Allah who guides the people and whoever He guides will not be misguided and whomever He lets go astray none will be able to guide them. As such, it means we don’t believe anyone really can “convert” someone else.

Also, we accept that all children are born in the natural state of submission to Almighty God and as such that means they are Muslims. Should a child die he or she would go to Heaven as they are not responsible for what they do not understand.

7. “Don’t you ever think about coming back to being a Christian?”

Answer: “Christian” indicates a follower of Christ. When Jesus, peace be upon him, returns to earth in the Last Days, all the Muslims will be obliged to follow him. But we would not call ourselves “Christians” anymore than he would. He never called himself or his companions “Christians.” The Bible tells us they were never even called “Christians” until Paul was preaching his message in Antioch.

In Bible vs. Quran, Jesus denied that He is God? (5) His First Miracle

The first miracle ever done by the Lord Jesus, peace be upon Him, is that He talked when he was forty days old. In his unique miracle he said eight great statements. This miracle is mentioned in the Quran while it is not found in the Bible.

————————————————-

The present article discusses the first miracle ever done by the Lord Jesus; He talked when he was forty days old. In His distinctive miracle (that is not mentioned in the Bible) He said eight great statements.

Back to the story of the miraculous birth of the Lord Jesus

Saint Mary pointed to her baby Jesus intimating to them that they must ‘talk to him’.

The Jews (her people) said: How can we talk to one who is in the cradle?

The forty days old baby, the Lord Jesus said to them:

1. Lo! I am the slave of Allah

2. He taught me the Torah and the Gospel

3. He has appointed me a Prophet

4. He has made me a teacher of goodness

5. He has enjoined upon me prayer and alms-giving, He has commanded me to both of these, as long as I remain alive

6. He has made me dutiful towards my mother

7. And He has not made me arrogant, haughty, wretched, or Disobedient to his Lord.

8. And peace, from Allah, be upon me the day I was born, the day I die and the day I shall be raised alive!’

This is the testimonial of the Truth concerning Jesus which the Christians doubt for Some of them said he is God, Some of them said he was the son of God, Some of them claimed he was God’s partner while Some of them (the Unitarians) deny all of the above!

Here, it seems fruitful to remind the smart reader that the Lord Jesus (peace be upon Him) has observed Allah’s orders and he spent all what he had to help the poor needy people and he never ever was a money collector! In addition, He used to pray like the Muslims pray; he used to bow down and prostrate in His pray.

Also, I hope to have time to show you that the Bible says that Jesus is a slave of God but the eminent Biblical writers have forged “my slave” to “my boy or my son”

Now, Read the following verses in four different translations and try to find any “Forged” word, and if any, please let me know

————————————————-

The verses 19:29-34

Verse 29

QARIB:

29) So she pointed to him (Prophet Jesus). But they replied: ‘how can we speak with a baby in the cradle? ‘

30) He (the baby) said: ‘I am the worshiper of Allah. Allah has given me the book and made me a prophet.

31) He made me to be blessed wherever I am, and he has charged me with prayer and charity for as long as I shall live.

32) (He has made me) kind to my mother; he has not made me arrogant, unprosperous.

33) Peace be upon me on the day I was born, and on the day I die; and on the day when I shall be raised up alive. ‘

34) Such was (prophet) Jesus, the son of Mary. a saying of truth, concerning what they doubt.

SHAKIR:

29) But she pointed to him. They said: how should we speak to one who was a child in the cradle?

30) He said: surely I am a servant of Allah; he has given me the book and made me a prophet;

31) And he has made me blessed wherever I may be, and he has enjoined on me prayer and poor-rate so long as I live;

32) And dutiful to my mother, and he has not made me insolent, unblessed;

33) And peace on me on the day I was born, and on the day I die, and on the day I am raised to life

34) Such is Isa, son of Mariam; (this is) the saying of truth about which they dispute

PICKTHAL:

29) Then she pointed to him. They said: how can we talk to one who is in the cradle, a young boy?

30) He spake: lo! I am the slave of Allah. he hath given me the scripture and hath appointed me a prophet,

31) And hath made me blessed wheresoever I may be, and hath enjoined upon me prayer and almsgiving so long as I remain alive,

32) And (hath made me) dutiful toward her who bore me, and hath not made me arrogant, unblest.

33) Peace on me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!

34) Such was Jesus, son of Mary: (this is) a statement of the truth concerning which they doubt.

YUSUFALI:

29) But she pointed to the babe. They said: “how can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?”

30) He said: ” I am indeed a servant of Allah: he hath given me revelation and made me a prophet;

31) “And he hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me prayer and charity as long as I live;

32) “(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;

33) “So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)”!

34) Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.

In Bible vs. Quran, Jesus denied that He is God? (4) Saint Mary events are disclosed

In the previous article, you have seen that both the Bible and the Quran agree that the Lord Jesus was sent from a Sender who is the one True God

Also, the Lord Jesus accurately determined the difference between the Sender and the sent while the Quran announces the First Miracle of the Lord Jesus-

Moreover, the Quran discloses some lost events happened in the life of Saint Mary as regards her pregnancy and her dialogue with the Angel Gabriel etc. These events are not present in the Bible.

The Sender vs. the Sent in the Quran

You might have no idea about the First Miracle of the Lord Jesus.

Jesus talked while He was few months old, in the cradle!

In this article, the Quran discloses some lost events in the history of Saint Mary in respect to her pregnancy and her dialogue with the Angel Gabriel etc. these events are not present in the Bible.

Required background to understand what happened,

The Story of Saint Mary’s Pregnancy

The Quran declares that Saint Mary withdrew from her people to an eastern place and she took a veil apart from them

Allah sent to her the Angel Gabriel in the resemblance of a perfect human being. And when she saw him she said:

Dialogue between Gabriel and Mary:

Mary said: “I seek refuge from you to (Allah) the merciful: Do not come near if you fear Allah.”

Gabriel said to her: I am only a messenger of Allah that I may bestow on you that Allah may bestow on you a faultless, righteous son

Mary said: How can I have a son when no man has touched me and I have never been sinful

Gabriel said to her: just as I have told you, your Lord says: it is easy for Me to create him without a father. And will make of him a sign to mankind; and it is a matter which has been decreed, a son without a father.

The Birth

Read the verses 19: 22-26

So she conceived him; then withdrew herself with him to a remote place

She said: oh, I wish I would have died before this, and had been a quite forgotten thing!

She was scared of her people which will consider that a very big scandal that deserve killing her. A girl which gets a baby without marriage deserves to be killed. This custom is still workable in the eastern countries up till now.

How Allah saved Mary and honor her and her baby and showed the Jews that He can do anything and everything He wills and also to show them an amazing Miracle?

Mary was very sad and was not able to do anything, she could not come back to her people otherwise, it will be her great scandal and they will kill her!

All of a sudden, her baby talks

He said to her: Do not worry, come back to your people and if you meet any man say to him: “I have vowed a fast to Allah, the merciful, and I will not speak with anyone today.”

This calmed her down and she put her trust in Allah.

Then, she came back to her people, carrying her baby.

And as she expected, they said: O Mary! Surely you have done a shameful thing. How come that you have done that although your father was never an evil man, nor was your mother a harlot!

So she pointed to her baby making a symbol to them that means: talk to him!

Her people replied: ‘how can we speak with a baby in the cradle?

Then the First Miracle of the Lord Jesus appeared!

What the “Baby Lord Jesus” said to them?

The answer will be in the next article

To be continued.

And Allah is the Witness.

This is Allah (43) if you are Allah’s Messenger, Bring upon us Allah’s Torment

The Leaders of Thamood’s people Broke the Deal Made with their Prophet Salih

Thamood Killed the Marvel Camel and Flouted Allah’s Commandment

The Eventual Outcome if We Do Not Love the Sincere Advisers

The Wisdom of the Real Ancient Story of Thamood

————————————————-

Many people do not know Allah. This series, This is Allah (1- 49), is an attempt to help them in order to know and acknowledge their Creator.

Verses 7:73-75 of the Noble Quran talk about:

1) The leaders of Thamood’s people broke the deal made with their Prophet Salih,

2) Thamood killed the marvel Camel and flouted Allah’s commandment,

3) They said: if you are indeed Allah’s messenger, Bring upon us Allah’s torment,

4) The eventual outcome if we do not love the sincere advisers and

5) The wisdom of the real ancient story of Thamood.

————————————————-

In the previous article:

The leaders of Thamood said unto their Prophet Salih:

If you are truthful in your claim that you are a messenger from Allah, then tell your Lord to bring us a she-camel out of this (specific huge) rock!

Salih said: then you will believe?

They said: oh, yes, sure we will

Salih said: and you will let the she-camel eat and drink without bothering her?

They said: oh, yes, sure we will

Salih said: Look, if you hurt the she-camel you be seized by a severe chastisement

They said: agreed, deal !

Salih prayed to Allah to bring the she-camel out of the specific huge rock that they determined.

Allah did. Miraculously, this she-camel had no father, no mother; it just came out of the rock when Allah has said: Be.

But most of Thamood’s people especially their leaders did not believe in Allah and did not follow the teaching of their Prophet Salih.

the leaders of the arrogant party among his people said to those who were oppressed, to such of them as believed, that is, from among Thamood’s people who were overpowered, despised and weak:

So you know that Salih is sent from his Lord to you?

They, chieftains of Thamood’s people who were scornful, waxed proud, who disdained belief in Salih said that mocking.

The poor people replied: Yes! Truly we believe in the Message with which Salih has been sent.

————————————————-

The meaning of verse 7: 76

The leaders, those who were proud and scornful towards the believers said: ‘Truly we are disbelievers of that which you believe!’

And they broke the deal and did not keep their word that they had given their Prophet Salih.

Not only that but…

The meaning of verse 7: 77

They hamstrung the she-camel,

They killed the Most Amazing Camel in the History, the Miraculous Camel that has no Father and no Mother.

They hamstrung her by their command, killing her with a sword

And they flouted the commandment of their Lord,

They refused to accept the commands of their Lord with which Salih enjoined them,

And they, ‘O Salih, bring upon us that which you promised us, in the way of chastisement for our killing it, if you are indeed a messenger’; Bring upon us that which you threaten of torment if you are indeed Allah’s messenger; they said this out of mockery.

The meaning of verse 7: 78

So the Trembling, a violent earthquake and a cry from the heaven, a loud noise announcing their torment, seized them, and they lay lifeless prostrate in their habitations, keeled over their knees, dead without a movement (in their dwelling-place) in their town.

But what about Salih and the believers?

They left them before they were destroyed.

When Salih saw what happened, he said:

The meaning of verse 7: 79

Salih turned on them and said: O my people! I delivered my Lord’s message unto you, explaining the commands and prohibitions and gave you good advice; I warned you of Allah’s torment and called you to repent and believe, but you do not listen to those who advise you; you do not love sincere advisers.

Herein, in this story, two parties were given advice

The first party was sincere, Salih which is Allah’s messenger.

The second party was dishonest, proud, sarcastic leaders which are Satan’s hosts on the earth.

This story is repeated everyday; the wisdom of the story is to inspect what you hear, what you see, what you read, what you do and look at it;  is it from your Creator Who loves you or from your enemy, the Satan who want you end up in the Eternal Fire!

————————————————-

Verses 7:76-79 in different English translations of the meanings of Arabic Quran:

QARIB:

76) Those who were proud said: ‘we disbelieve in that which you believed in. ‘

77) (Then) they hamstrung the shecamel and defied the order of their lord, saying to salih: ‘bring down that which you have promised us if you truly are one of the messengers. ‘

78) Thereupon the earthquake seized them, at morning in their dwellings they were crouched, dead.

79) He turned from them, saying: ‘i conveyed to you, my nation the message of my lord and gave you counsel; but you had no love for sincere advisers. ‘

SHAKIR:

76) Those who were haughty said: surely we are deniers of what you believe in

77) So they slew the she-camel and revolted against their lord’s commandment, and they said: o salih! bring us what you threatened us with, if you are one of the messengers

78) Then the earthquake overtook them, so they became motionless bodies in their abode

79) Then he turned away from them and said: o my people i did certainly deliver to you the message of my lord, and i gave you good advice, but you do not love those who give good advice

PICKTHAL:

76) Those who were scornful said: lo! in that which ye believe we are disbelievers.

77) So they hamstrung the she-camel, and they flouted the commandment of their lord, and they said: o salih! bring upon us that thou threatenest if thou art indeed of those sent (from Allah).

78) So the earthquake seized them, and morning found them prostrate in their dwelling-place.

79) And (Salih) turned from them and said: o my people! i delivered my lord’s message unto you and gave you good advice, but ye love not good advisers.

YUSUFALI:

76) The arrogant party said: “for our part, we reject what ye believe in.”

77) Then they ham-strung the she-camel, and insolently defied the order of their lord, saying: “o salih! bring about thy threats, if thou art a messenger (of Allah)!”

78) So the earthquake took them unawares, and they lay prostrate in their homes in the morning!

79) So Salih left them, saying: “o my people! i did indeed convey to you the message for which i was sent by my lord: i gave you good counsel, but ye love not good counsellors!”
