In Bible vs. Quran: Jesus denied that He is God (6) who is greater the Sender or the sent

This article shows how the Biblical writers changed the meaning of the verse John 13:16; also it gives more examples to illustrate the very common Biblical phenomenon of changing the word of God by adding Forged words. This phenomenon is never ever present in the Quran.

——————————————

The article discusses the presence of Forged Words in the Bible vs. the Quran

The presence of Forged Words in the Bible

The original Greek Manuscript of the verse John 13:16 say according to the 21st Century King James Version: “Verily, verily I say unto you, the servant is not greater than his lord, neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.”

This is no more than 60% correct translation of the Greek verse found in the original Manuscript.

There are four essential Greek words in John 13:16; simply they are the slave and his owner and the Sender and the sent.

These four essential Greek words are:

1) δοῦλος, it is pronounced as doulos and it means  a slave, bondman,  one who gives himself up to another’s will. The 21st Century King James Version translates it to “The servant

2) κύριος, it is pronounced as kyrios and it means the possessor of a thing, the owner; one who has control of the person; he to whom a person or thing belongs, master, lord.  The 21st Century King James Version translates it to “lord“.

3) ἀπόστολος, it is pronounced as apostolos and it means  a messenger, one sent forth with orders, a delegate, an ambassador. The 21st Century King James Version translates it to “he that is sent

4) πέμπω, it is pronounced as pempō and it means to order a thing to be carried to one,  to send. The 21st Century King James Version translates it to “he that sent

In Bible vs. Quran, Jesus denied that He is God? (4) Saint Mary events are disclosed

In the previous article, you have seen that both the Bible and the Quran agree that the Lord Jesus was sent from a Sender who is the one True God

Also, the Lord Jesus accurately determined the difference between the Sender and the sent while the Quran announces the First Miracle of the Lord Jesus-

Moreover, the Quran discloses some lost events happened in the life of Saint Mary as regards her pregnancy and her dialogue with the Angel Gabriel etc. These events are not present in the Bible.

The Sender vs. the Sent in the Quran

You might have no idea about the First Miracle of the Lord Jesus.

Jesus talked while He was few months old, in the cradle!

In this article, the Quran discloses some lost events in the history of Saint Mary in respect to her pregnancy and her dialogue with the Angel Gabriel etc. these events are not present in the Bible.

Required background to understand what happened,

The Story of Saint Mary’s Pregnancy

The Quran declares that Saint Mary withdrew from her people to an eastern place and she took a veil apart from them

Allah sent to her the Angel Gabriel in the resemblance of a perfect human being. And when she saw him she said:

Dialogue between Gabriel and Mary:

Mary said: “I seek refuge from you to (Allah) the merciful: Do not come near if you fear Allah.”

Gabriel said to her: I am only a messenger of Allah that I may bestow on you that Allah may bestow on you a faultless, righteous son

Mary said: How can I have a son when no man has touched me and I have never been sinful

Gabriel said to her: just as I have told you, your Lord says: it is easy for Me to create him without a father. And will make of him a sign to mankind; and it is a matter which has been decreed, a son without a father.

The Birth

Read the verses 19: 22-26

So she conceived him; then withdrew herself with him to a remote place

She said: oh, I wish I would have died before this, and had been a quite forgotten thing!

She was scared of her people which will consider that a very big scandal that deserve killing her. A girl which gets a baby without marriage deserves to be killed. This custom is still workable in the eastern countries up till now.

How Allah saved Mary and honor her and her baby and showed the Jews that He can do anything and everything He wills and also to show them an amazing Miracle?

Mary was very sad and was not able to do anything, she could not come back to her people otherwise, it will be her great scandal and they will kill her!

All of a sudden, her baby talks

He said to her: Do not worry, come back to your people and if you meet any man say to him: “I have vowed a fast to Allah, the merciful, and I will not speak with anyone today.”

This calmed her down and she put her trust in Allah.

Then, she came back to her people, carrying her baby.

And as she expected, they said: O Mary! Surely you have done a shameful thing. How come that you have done that although your father was never an evil man, nor was your mother a harlot!

So she pointed to her baby making a symbol to them that means: talk to him!

Her people replied: ‘how can we speak with a baby in the cradle?

Then the First Miracle of the Lord Jesus appeared!

What the “Baby Lord Jesus” said to them?

The answer will be in the next article

To be continued.

And Allah is the Witness.

In Bible vs. Quran, Jesus denied that He is God? (3) Sender vs. sent

Both the Bible and the Quran agree that the Lord Jesus was sent from a Sender who is the one True God

Also, the Lord Jesus accurately determined the difference between the Sender and the sent while the Quran announces the First Miracle of the Lord Jesus-

————————————————

The Sender vs. the Sent in the Quran

Required background to understand Jesus Word:

1. Jesus was Jewish and sent to the Jews.

In Matthew 15:24, the Lord Jesus said: “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

2. The audiences of the Lord Jesus’ Word were almost always Jewish; most of them were non-religious normal people while some of them were top religious leaders.

The top religious leaders which used to attend Jesus teaching were sent by the chief great official Jewish Leaders in order to put Jesus down.

3. Mark 12:13 says:” And they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to Jesus to catch him in his words” hoping to catch him saying something incriminating; as regards the religious Law.

It is interesting that Mark did not say who they were. But definitely, they were the chief great official Jewish Leaders which were not happy with Jesus who appeared as a religious leader although He never ever attended their teachings or their schools.

4. It seems likely that the Jewish religious leaders used to compare between Moses and Jesus; their faith is that none among the Jews is greater than Moses; Moses is the greatest messengers in all the Israelite history!

5. Certainly, Jesus knew the Torah and He knew that Moses has three titles in the Torah; they are:

§  Moses is God and Sender “The Lord said to Moses, “See, I have made you God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet” [Exodus 7:1]  Here, Moses is God to Pharaoh and the Sender of Aaron

§  Moses is the greatest Messenger in the history of the Jews. [Deuteronomy 34:10 says: “No messenger like Moses has yet emerged in Israel”].

§  Moses is the slave of God (Moses is a slave of God is mentioned some 20 times in Torah).

The Lord Jesus knew all of that if not more than that!

And this is the required background to understand the verse John 13:16

————————————————

In John 13:16, the Lord Jesus is clearing up the relationship between the slaves (messengers) of God and God who sent them.

According to the Lord Jesus’ teaching, this relation is very simple and very clear; it is that: the messenger (Slave) of God is never ever greater than God.

In other word, the Lord Jesus explains that there is a Sender and a sent; and the sent is never ever greater than the Sender.

This is what the Lord Jesus says in John 13:16

John 13:16 according to Good News Translation

“I am telling you the truth: no slaves are greater than their master, and no messengers are greater than the one who sent them.’

In the Bible, the Lord Jesus said “the One who sent me or Him that sent me” 34 times.

For 34 times, Jesus declares that the Lord God is the Sender and He is the Sent.

For 34 times, Jesus declares that He is but like Moses; just a slave of God and a Sent Messenger!

According to the Biblical versions, the Lord Jesus began his statement, to confirm this meaning and make it rock-hard, by

Verily, verily or

Truly, truly, I say to you or

I assure you or

Yes, indeed! I tell you for certain etc.

Finally, I will repeat unto you smart reader what the Lord Jesus has said for eight times in the Bible:

“Let the person who has ears, hear” or

“He that has ears to hear, let him hear”.

————————————————

The Sender vs. the Sent in the Quran

The Quran absolutely agrees that the Lord Jesus is but a messenger sent by the one true God, Allah.

You may have no idea about the First Miracle of the Lord Jesus that is mentioned only in the Quran; it is:

Jesus talked while He was few months old!

What He said:

This will be discussed in the next article:

In Bible vs. Quran, Jesus denied that He is God? (2) his word is not his

Both the Bible and the Quran agree that the word uttered by the Lord Jesus is not belonged to him

In the Bible, the Lord Jesus said: “The word that you hear is not mine but is from the Father who sent me”.

In the Quran, Jesus said: “I spoke to them only that which thou commanded me, (saying): worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord”

This article discusses one important  issue in the Bible vs. the Quran; that is the Word that Jesus uttered is not his Word; it is from the Father who sent Him.

——————————

In the Bible, The Word that Jesus uttered is not his Word; it is from the Father who sent Him.

The verse John 14:24 says: “The one who does not love me will not keep My words. The word that you hear is not Mine but is from the Father who sent Me”.

Herein, the verse clearly shows that the Lord Jesus is but a messenger who announces the Word of the One who sent him.

Here, there are two different Subjects; the Sender who sends and the one who is sent.

Wait to see what the Lord Jesus said about the differences between these two different Subjects, the Sender and the sent in the next article.

———————————————————–

In the Quran, The Word that Jesus uttered is not his Word; it is from the Father who sent Him. Yes, the Quran absolutely agrees

In the Quran, Jesus said: “I spoke to them only that which thou commanded me, (saying): worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord”

Read the verse 5:117 which says according to the following translations:

QARIB:

I spoke to them of nothing except that which you ordered me, that you worship Allah, my Lord and our Lord. I witnessed them whilst living in their midst and ever since you took me to you, you have been the watcher over them. You are the witness of everything.

SHAKIR:

I did not say to them aught save what thou didst enjoin me with: that serve Allah, my Lord and your Lord, and i was a witness of them so long as I was among them, but when thou didst cause me to die, thou wert the watcher over them, and thou art witness of all things

PICKTHAL:

I spake unto them only that which thou commandedst me, (saying): worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. I was a witness of them while i dwelt among them, and when thou tookest me thou wast the watcher over them. thou art witness over all things.

YUSUFALI:

“never said i to them aught except what thou didst command me to say, to wit, ‘worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord’; and i was a witness over them whilst i dwelt amongst them; when thou didst take me up thou wast the watcher over them, and thou art a witness to all things.
