The Shadow in Bible vs. Quran

In the Bible, God the Almighty Creator has a shadow; also, the Angels, the Death, the evening etc. have shadows.

On the other hand, the Quran talks about two Historical Shadows and the Shadow at the Day of Judgment for the believers and the unbelievers; also, the Quran gives some scientific facts about the Shadow.

The Bible talks about:

1)     The Lord God has a shadow

2)     What is in heaven has Shadow

3)     The Shadow of death, its valley and its land

4)     The Evening Shadows that grow long

5)     The Deep shadow that ring the eyes

6)     The Shadow goes forward or backward ten steps

7)     Our Life is shadow

8)     Some other Biblical facts about the Shadow

The Quran talks about:

1) Two Historical Shadows

2) Scientific facts about the Shadow

3) The Shadow at the Day of Judgment

4) The Shadow for the believers and the unbelievers in the Afterlife

——————————————

The Shadow in the Bible:

The Shadow is mentioned 51 in the Bible and 19 times in the Quran.

Upon talking about the Shadow, the Bible declares that:

  • God has a shadow,
  • God’s hand has a shadow,
  • God’s wings have shadow, and
  • God does not change like shifting shadows.

In addition, the Bible says that “What is in heaven has Shadow”. It is known that the Angels are in the heaven; have they shadows too like their Creator.

Moreover, the Bible talks about the death has shadow and there are the valley of the shadow of death and the land of the shadow of the death.

In addition, the Bible talks about the evening has shadows, there are deep shadows, the Shadow and the ten steps etc.

In fact, most of the above especially God, Angels and death have no shadow(s) at all!

If God has a shadow, then He is a body like us!

The Angels are created from light, has the light a shadow?

In addition, does anyone see the shadow of the death?

1) The Lord God has a shadow, His hand has a shadow, His wings have shadow, and He does not change like shifting shadows

Psalm 91:1

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Isaiah 49:2

In the shadow of His Hand, he hid me;

Isaiah 51:16

I have put my words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of My Hand

Psalm 17:8

Hide me in the shadow of your wings

Psalm 36:7

How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings.

Psalm 57:1

I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.

Psalm 63:7

Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.

James 1:17

The Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows,

2) What is in heaven has Shadow

Hebrews 8:5

They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven.

3) The Shadow of death, the valley and the land of the shadow of the death

The Bible states that the death has shadow and there are the valley of the shadow of death and the land of the shadow of the death.

Job 38:17

Have the gates of death been shown to you?

Have you seen the gates of the shadow of death ?

Psalm 23:4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Isaiah 9:2

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.

The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.”

Luke 1:79

to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”

4) The Evening Shadows that grow long

Job 7:2

Like a slave longing for the evening shadows, or a hired man waiting eagerly for his wages,

Nehemiah 13:19

When evening shadows fell on the gates of Jerusalem before the Sabbath, I ordered the doors to be shut and not opened until the Sabbath was over. I stationed some of my own men at the gates so that no load could be brought in on the Sabbath day.

Psalm 102:11

My days are like the evening shadow; I wither away like grass.

To the land of deepest night, of deep shadow and disorder, where even the light is like darkness.”

Job 12:22

He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings deep shadows into the light.

Job 3:5

May darkness and deep shadow claim it once more; may a cloud settle over it; may blackness overwhelm its light.

Job 16:16

My face is red with weeping; deep shadows ring my eyes;

Job 34:22

There is no dark place, no deep shadow, where evildoers can hide.

Isaiah 59:9

So justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We look for light, but all is darkness; for brightness, but we walk in deep shadows.

6) The Shadow goes forward or backward ten steps

2 Kings 20:9

“This is the Lord’s sign to you that the LORD will do what he has promised: Shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or shall it go back ten steps?”

2 Kings 20:10

It is a simple matter for the shadow to go forward ten steps,” said Hezekiah. “Rather, have it go back ten steps.”

2 Kings 20:11

The LORD made the shadow go back the ten steps it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.

Isaiah 38:8

I will make the shadow cast by the sun go back the ten steps it has gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.’ “So the sunlight went back the ten steps it had gone down.

7) Our Life is shadow

Our days on earth (few and meaningless) are like a fleeting shadow, without hope

1 Chronicles 29:15

Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.

Job 8:9

For we were born only yesterday and know nothing, and our days on earth are but a shadow.

Psalm 144:4

Man is like a breath; his days are like a fleeting shadow.

Ecclesiastes 6:12

For who knows what is good for a man in life, during the few and meaningless days he passes through like a shadow? Who can tell him what will happen under the sun after he is gone?

Ecclesiastes 8:13

Yet because the wicked do not fear God, it will not go well with them, and their days will not lengthen like a shadow.

8) Some other Biblical facts about the Shadow

——————————————

The Shadow in the Quran:

The Quran talks about:

1) Two Historical Shadows

2) Scientific facts about the Shadow

3) The Shadow at the Day of Judgment

4) The Shadow for the believers and the unbelievers in the Afterlife

1) Two Historical Shadows

The Quran mentions two important Historical Shadows;

One of them is the Shadow for Moses and the Israelites and

The other is the Shadow for the deniers of the Prophet “Shu’aib” and their grievous day of punishment.

These two Historical Shadows are not mentioned in the Bible.

a-The Shadow for Moses and the Israelites

Surah 28:24

So he (Moses) watered (their flock) for them. Then he turned aside into the shade, and said: my Lord! i am needy of whatever good thou sendest down for me.

Surah 7:160

We divided them into twelve tribes, nations; and we inspired Moses, when his people asked him for water, saying: smite with thy staff the rock! And there gushed forth therefrom twelve springs, so that each tribe knew their drinking-place. And we caused the white cloud to overshadow them and sent down for them the manna and the quails (saying): eat of the good things wherewith we have provided you. They wronged us not, but they were wont to wrong themselves.

Surah 7:171

and when we shook the mountain over them as if it were a covering overhead, and they thought that it was going to fall down upon them: take hold of what we have given you with firmness, and be mindful of what is in it, so that you may guard (against evil)

Surah 2:57

And We gave you the shade of clouds and sent down to you Manna and quails, saying: “Eat of the good things We have provided for you:” (but they rebelled); to Us they did no harm, but they harmed their own selves.

b-The Shadow for the deniers of the Prophet “Shu’aib”

The Shadow furnished for people of the Prophet “Shu’aib” who denied him and their grievous day of punishment.

The Prophet “Shu’aib” is never mentioned in the Bible.

Is that because He was Arabic?

Surah 26:189

But they rejected and denied him (Shu’aib) and called him a liar (Shu’aib) then the punishment of the day of overshadowing gloom seized them, surely it was the punishment of a grievous day

2) Scientific facts about the Shadow:

Allah extends the shade; if He pleases, He would certainly have made it stationary and then have made the sun an indication of it.

Scientifically speaking, the shade will be stationary when the Earth stops its circular movement about itself. In such case, half of the Earth will be day and the other will be night.

So, the sun is the indicator for such event. Who could do that? It is Allah the Creator of the Sun.

Surah 25:45

Have you not considered (the work of) your Lord, how he extends the shade? And if he had pleased he would certainly have made it stationary; then we have made the sun an indication of it

All things that Allah has created have their shadows and prostrate unto Him.

Surah 16:48

Have they not observed all things that Allah hath created, how their shadows incline to the right and to the left, making prostration unto Allah, and they are lowly?

Surah 16:81

it is Allah who made out of the things he created, some things to give you shade; of the hills he made some for your shelter; he made you garments to protect you from heat, and coats of mail to protect you from your (mutual) violence. thus does he complete his favors on you, that ye may bow to his will (in Islam).

Surah 35:19-21

19 and the blind and the seeing are not alike

20 nor the darkness and the light,

21 nor is the shadow equal with the sun’s full heat;

3) The Shadow at the Day of Judgment

At that horrible day, everything is already judged in justice.

Man is one of two, believer or unbeliever; each one has his own Shadow.

The Coming of Allah:

Surah 2:210

Wait they for naught else than that Allah should come unto them in the shadows of the clouds with the angels? Then the case would be already judged. All cases go back to Allah (for judgment).

4) The Shadow for the believers and the unbelievers in the Afterlife

The Shadow for those who believe; this meaning is not mentioned in the Bible.

Surah 4:57

And as for those who believe and do good works, we shall make them enter gardens underneath which rivers flow – to dwell therein forever; there for them are pure companions – and we shall make them enter plenteous shadow.

Surah 36:56

They and their associates will be in a pleasant shadow, reclining on thrones (of dignity);

Surah 76:14

And the shades of the (garden) will come low over them, and the bunches (of fruit), there, will hang low in humility (being easy to reach).

Surah 56:30

In shade long-extended,

Surah 77:41

As to the righteous, they shall be amidst (cool) shades and springs (of water).

The Shadow for those who do not believe;

This implication is not cited in the Bible

Surah 56:43

And the shade of black smoke

Surah 77: 28-31

28 ah woe, that day, to the rejecters of truth!

29 (it will be said 🙂 “Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false!

30 “depart ye to a shadow (of smoke ascending) in three branches,

31 “(which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce blaze.

32 indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as palaces,

Surah 56:43

And the shade of black smoke

The following verse summarizes the Shadow for the believers and the unbelievers.

Surah 13:35

a likeness of the garden which the righteous are promised; there now beneath it rivers, its food and shades are perpetual; this is the requital of those who guarded (against evil), and the requital of the unbelievers is the fire.

It is very important to declare that anyone believes that the Lord God, the Almighty Creator, has a shadow, hand and/or wings then he surely is unbeliever, he will dwell in the Eternal Hell in the Afterlife forever, and he made Paradise forbidden for him.

——————————————

Back to the main issue of my series of articles (1-38); this is my question to you smart readers: “Is the Quran quoted from the Bible “?

The Spider in Bible vs. Quran vs. Science

The Bible says that the spider is found in kings’ palaces, Locusts have no king and whoever eats the eggs of vipers will die.

The Quran says that the female spider is the one mainly undertaking the building of the house and the spider’s house, from the physical and moral point of view, is the weakest house of all houses

———————————————————

One of the expanded dogmas of mankind is that the Quran is quoted or borrowed from the Bible.

This creed is established upon studies of many prejudiced intellectual scholars

In this series of articles (1-16), it is obvious that the Quran is quite different from the Bible.

It is also very clear that the Quran preceded the sciences in many aspects. In the present topic of the Spider, the smart reader will answer easily this false dogmatic inquiry: Is the Quran quoted from the Bible. The Bible which says :

1) Four things on earth are small, Ants, Coneys, locusts and a spider,

2) Locusts have no king,

3) The spider is found in kings’ palaces and

4) Whoever eats the eggs of vipers will die. Or the Quran which says

1) The female spider is the one mainly undertaking the building of the house,

2) The spider’s house, from the physical and moral point of view, is the weakest house of all houses and

3) The weakness is in the spider’s house and not in its threads Before dealing with the topic of the Spider in Quran vs. Bible vs. sciences, it is essential to remember that the total words of the Bible are 788,280 while total words of the Quran are 77,473. It follows that, the Bible has the potential of more than 10 times the Quran to talk about the spider word-wise. The spider is mentioned in three verses in the Bible (all are in the Old Testament and never mentioned in the New Testament).

On the other hand, the spider is mentioned in one verse in the Quran. ———————————————————

The Spider in the Bible Proverbs 30 24 “Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise: 25 Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer; 26 Coneys are creatures of little power, yet they make their home in the crags; 27 locusts have no king, yet they advance together in ranks; 28 a spider can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings’ palaces.

In the “Arabic” Bible, the verse 24 says:” the smallest”; this adjective is modified in the modern English version to “small”. However, there are thousands of creatures that are smaller than the Ants, Coneys, locusts and a spider and are wise also as for examples the microbes, protozoa and fungi. Also, why the spider is found in the kings’ places specifically? Again, why the locusts have no king although they have? Job 8 13 Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so perishes the hope of the godless. 14 What he trusts in is fragile; what he relies on is a spider’s web. In this verse, the trust of the hypocrite is compared to the spider’s web or house.

This meaning is a beautiful one. Isaiah 59:5-6 Talking about those who are unjust and lie etc. 5 They hatch the eggs of vipers and spin a spider’s web. Whoever eats their eggs will die, and when one is broken, an adder is hatched. 6 Their cobwebs are useless for clothing; they cannot cover themselves with what they make. Their deeds are evil deeds, and acts of violence are in their hands. Herein, Isaiah describes the wicked as those which “weave the spider’s web” i.e., their works and designs are, like the spider’s web, vain and useless. However, scientifically speaking, the one who eat the eggs of vipers will not die. Guaranteed. Even the one who eats the viper itself will not die. I wonder why the Bible put itself in such critical scientific conflicts. ———————————————————

The Spider in the Quran: Surah 29: [39] (Remember also) Qaroun, Pharaoh, and Haman: there came to them Moses with Clear Signs, but they behaved with insolence on the earth; yet they could not overreach (Us). [40] Each one of them We seized for his crime: of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): it was not Allah who injured (or oppressed) them: they injured (and oppressed) their own souls. [41] The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of the Spider, who builds (to itself) a house; but truly the flimsiest of houses is the Spider’s house; if they but knew. [42] Verily Allah doth know of (every thing) whatever that they call upon besides Him: and He is Exalted (in power), Wise. [43] And such are the Parables We set forth for mankind, but only those understand them who have knowledge. [44] Allah created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): verily in that is a Sign for those who believe. N.B.: Qaroun and Haman were the best friends of the Pharaoh of Moses. Qaroun was a very wealthy and powerful Israelite but was pro-Pharaoh. Haman was a top Egyptian official, he was chief of the army and police. Both Qaroun and Haman are not mentioned in the Bible. Back to the Spider, the Surah number 29 is named “Al-Ankaboot” which means the spider.

Naming the Surah with the singular form “Al-Ankaboot” indicates the solitary life of this animal, except at times of mating and egg hatching. This can be compared to the Surah “Al-Nahel” (The Bees) and the Surah “Al-Namel” (The Ants), where the names are plural since these insects live in social groups. The word “Al-Ankaboot” is used for the feminine singular. The verse indicates that the female spider is the one mainly undertaking the building of the house. Accordingly, building the spider’s house is an assignment carried on by the female spiders. It is the female which has in its body the glands for secretion of the silk substance from which the spider’s house is made. The spider’s house, from the physical point of view, is the weakest house of all, because it is made out of a number of very delicate silk threads. These threads are interwoven, leaving large separating spaces at most times. Therefore, they do not protect from the heat of the sun, or the extreme cold. These threads do not form adequate shade, nor protect from the rain, storming winds, or the dangers of attackers.

The Quran is very strict and clear when saying that the weakness is in the spider’s house and not the threads; (the flimsiest of houses). The spider’s house is the flimsiest house, whether physically or morally.

This has been proven by the late studies in zoology. In other words, the Quran preceded the modern scientific findings by more than 1300 years. The threads of the spider’s house are made of very delicate silk. The thickness of one thread is usually one million of the squared inch, or one part of four thousand parts of the thickness of the ordinary human hair. Despite its delicacy, it is the strongest biological substance known to mankind so far. The silk threads which make up the spider’s web are considered stronger than steel, and their strength is surpassed only by the melted quartz. The thin thread stretches to five times its length before it is cut. Therefore, the scientists call it “biological steel” or “bio-steel”. It is twenty times stronger than the ordinary metal steel. Its tolerance measures 300,000 pound for the square inch. Hypothetically speaking, should there be a thick rope of the spider’s threads, in the size of the thumb, it can easily carry a “jumbo” jet. In addition, the spider’s house, morally speaking, is the flimsiest of all houses, because it is deprived of all love and kindness, which are the pillars of any happy home. The female kills the male as soon as the fertilization takes place. Being larger in size and more violent, the female kills the male and eats its body. Also, the female eats its youngsters mercilessly. In some types, the female dies after fertilizing its eggs, which are usually fostered in a silk bag. When the eggs hatch, spider lings come out to find themselves in a very crowded place inside the eggs bag. The siblings then start to fight for food, space or both. The brother kills its brother and sister, and the sister kills its sister and brother, until the fight ends with a few spider lings remaining. These spider lings shed their skin and tear the eggs bag to come out one after the other with unhappy memories. They all then spread in the surrounding environment. Each female starts to build its house. On the road to achieve this goal, some of the spider lings die, whereas those who survive repeat the same tragedy. This makes the spider’s house the most violent and ruthless house, lacking all forms of kinship. Hence, Allah the Almighty sets it as a parable in its weakness and frailty because it lacks the simplest form of kindness between the husband and wife, the mother and her children, the brother and his siblings, and the sister and her siblings. These facts were unknown to any human at the time of revelation, and for long centuries thereafter. They have been discovered after extensive studies of the behavior of the spider by hundreds of scientists, for tens of years, until they were realized in the last decades of the twentieth century. That is why Allah ended the noble verse with His saying “if they but knew”. Some deep meaning of the verse: A- The house of the spider is not merely its dwelling place. Being the sticky net it is, it constitutes a trap for flying insects such as flies and others. These insects are a prey on which the spider feeds. Similarly, those idolaters who revere gods besides Allah, and call people to those revered gods, are in fact calling them to an artful trap which leads them to their death and destruction in this life and the afterlife. B- Warning against those with corrupt invocations who revere others besides Allah, whether money or whim. This warning is issued through indicating their hidden strings with which they hunt their victims. These strings can be money, sex, power, or any other hidden string which destroys the victim once it is trapped. Now, I think it is easy to answer this forged dogmatic question:

Is the Quran quoted from the Bible?

Why Do Priests & Preachers Enter Islam? The story of conversion of the Preacher Yusuf Estes (10)

Doesn’t it bother you to have left the way of peace, justice and love for a religion of hatred, violence and oppression toward women and others?

—————————–

How a preacher or priest in Christianity can ever go to Islam?

How could a preacher have turned his back on the perfect plan of salvation of Jesus Christ on the cross for you sins and converted to Islam?

—————————–

ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS

The ex- American preacher Yusuf Estes continues saying:

Now as I promised here are the answers to the questions many have asked me connected with my choice of Islam:

Question:

8. “Doesn’t it bother you to have left the way of peace, justice and love for a religion of hatred, violence and oppression toward women and others?”

Answer:

All the prophets, peace be upon them all, called the people to worship Almighty God as One God and One Lord. As such, those who did not want to submit to Almighty God would combat them and treat them with hostilities, even unto death, as Paul had done while still being a Pharisee. The prophets, peace be upon them all, did encourage their followers to live in peace and deal with people in justice and certainly love is the highest form of emotion a human can have for another human being.

Yet at the same time, believers have to defend themselves, their families and the religion itself, lest those who are not believers should remove belief from the very face of the earth. Islam, like Christianity preaches a message of peace and tolerance – to a point. But when this is no longer possible without totally compromising and loosing one’s way of life and belief system, then there is no alternative except to engage in open combat against those who are combating against the believers.

Jesus called upon his followers to sell their coats and buy swords. He explained that he did not come with peace, but rather a sword. He and his companions were engaged in mortal combat with their enemies, the Pharisees when one of the priests slaves had his ear cut by the sword. Jesus then told them to put down their swords. This is mentioned in the Bible.

The word “sword” appears over 200 times in the Bible – but even though the Arabic language has more than a dozen words for sword, there is not a single occurrence of any of these words anywhere in the Quran.

Combat is ordered in the Quran, only under very specific and limited conditions and it is nothing more than what we would today call “The War on Terrorism.” Fighting against all acts of organized aggression, oppression, persecution and terrorism is an obligation on all believers. But it certainly has limits and women, children, elderly and any innocents are not to killed or injured during such occasions. Treatment of prisoners is not to be humiliating or torture of any kind. Even the dead of the enemy are to be buried with dignity and respect.

Now since writing my story and publishing here on the internet many other websites have picked up this story and it had become a famous example of how “Priest and Preachers Are Coming to Islam.”

Again, I thank you for visiting. And I thank our Christian friend for his email. If he hadn’t sent it, I probably would still not have completed this task of putting down the story once and for all of how my family, friends and myself all came to Islam.

Please feel free to share this story with others. You should print it out and make copies for everyone. Give them our links, add our story to your website or blog page, and send out emails to everyone you know. Maybe it could make a difference for others like us, God Willing.

May Allah guide you on your journey to all truth? Ameen. And May He open your heart and your mind to the reality of this world and the purpose of this life, ameen.

Peace to you and Guidance from Allah the One Almighty God, Creator and Sustainer of all that exists.

Chapter 6 of the Quran (119) Allah is the Forgiving

In the previous articles, Allah commanded His last Prophet Muhammad to say unto the Jews, the Christians and the entire mankind:

Like my grandfather Abraham, the fathers of the prophets, I am totally submitted to Allah. My prayers, my prostrations, my sacrifice, my devotions, are all for Allah,

My entire life, activities and deeds in this world are for for Allah,

Allah has no partner, no wife, no son, no daughter and no equivalent. Nothing is equal or similar to Him. It is Allah who has made you successors!

Ayah 6:165 says:

Allah has made you successors

Allah has placed you as vicegerents of the earth in the place of past nations

He has made you to succeed one another therein, in the earth and has raised some of you above others in degrees, through wealth and status and otherwise,

Allah has exalted some of you in rank above others, in merit, in terms of wealth

So that He may try you,

So that He may test you, in what He has given you, in order to manifest the obedient among you and the disobedient.

Surely, your Lord is swift in prosecution towards the one who disbelieves in Him or who does not give thanks to Him.

Be sure that your Lord, Allah, is swift in punishment of the unbelievers who disobey Him; and

Be sure too that your Lord, Allah, is forgiving to the believers and that He is Merciful to them.

And this is the last verse of Chapter 6 of the Noble Quran; that is one of my favorite chapters of the Quran.

My advice to the smart reader:

Whoever makes a false assumption about Allah will be deprived of certainty and if a man is deprived of certainty he is ruined.

Whenever Allah looks upon your heart and finds there that which is other than Him (women, money, violence, pride, Satan footsteps, etc.), He empowers what is inside your heart over you.

—————————————————————-

The verses 6:165 in different translations

QARIB:

it is he who has made you caliphs in the earth and raised some of you in rank above others, so that he might try you in what he has given you. swift is your lord in retribution; yet he is forgiving, merciful.

SHAKIR:

and he it is who has made you successors in the land and raised some of you above others by (various) grades, that he might try you by what he has given you; surely your lord is quick to requite (evil), and he is most surely the forgiving, the merciful

PICKTHAL:

he it is who hath placed you as viceroys of the earth and hath exalted some of you in rank above others, that he may try you by (the test of) that which he hath given you. lo! thy lord is swift in prosecution, and lo! he verily is forgiving, merciful.

YUSUFALI:

it is he who hath made you (his) agents, inheritors of the earth: he hath raised you in ranks, some above others: that he may try you in the gifts he hath given you: for thy lord is quick in punishment: yet he is indeed oft-forgiving, most merciful.

Chapter 6 of the Quran (72) it is one Sentence and you Win

The Prophet Muhammad said: ‘If I agree to this would you agree to give me one sentence, if you were to utter it, you would win in the life of this world and in the afterlife too?’  The chiefs of Mecca said: ‘Yes, by gods (idols), we will give it to you; but what is it?  Muhammad said: ‘Say: there is no god but Allah!’

——————————————-

Ayah 6:108 says:

“Revile not those (idols) unto whom they pray beside Allah lest they wrongfully revile Allah through ignorance…”

This verse has a historical background

The historical event between the Prophet Muhammad and the idolators of Mecca

Abu Talib was Muhammad’s uncle; he was the master of Muhammad’s tribe. Although he did not believe in Allah, Muhammad and the Quran and Abu Talib was an idolator; however, he used to defend Muhammad against the violence of the unbelievers.

When Abu Talib was dying, some chiefs of Mecca said: ‘let us go to this man and ask him to forbid his nephew from reviling our idols, for we feel shame to kill Muhammad after his uncle passes away and drive the Arabs to say: ‘He used to defend him but once he passed away, they killed him; and this will be very shameful for us’.

The chiefs of Mecca went to see Abu Talib. They said to him: ‘You are our master and our leader, but Muhammad has harmed us and harmed our gods (idols). We would like you to call him and warn him against speaking ill of our gods (idols).  And from our part, we will leave him alone to his Allah’.

The Prophet Muhammad went when he was summoned.

Abu Talib said to him: ‘O son of my brother, these are your people and your cousins! Listen to them’

The Prophet Muhammad said to him: ‘I am listening’

They said: ‘We want you to leave us alone with gods (idols) and we will leave you alone with your Allah’.

Abu Talib said: ‘Fair enough, your people are being fair with you, so give your consent’.

The Prophet Muhammad said: ‘If I agree to this would you agree to give me one sentence, if you were to utter it, you would win in the life of this world and in the afterlife too?’

The chiefs of Mecca said: ‘Yes, by gods (idols), we will give it to you and also give you ten other things like it; but what is it?

The Prophet Muhammad said: ‘Say: there is no god but Allah!’

They refused and expressed their at this proposal, upon which Abu Talib said; ‘Son of my brother, ask for something else, for your people are suspicious of this’.

The verse 6:108 in QARIB translations:

Do not say crude words to those who call upon other than Allah, lest they use crude words about Allah in revenge without knowledge. as such we have made the actions of each nation seem pleasing. to their lord they shall return, and he will inform them of that they were doing.

Chapter 6 of the Quran (41) Allah has the power to…

Allah has the power to send forth upon you a chastisement from above you as He did on the people of Noah and the people of Lot. Allah has the power to send forth upon you a chastisement from beneath your feet or make the earth swallow you as it swallowed Korah. Allah has the power to…

In the previous article, Ayah 6:63 says:
Who delivers you from the darkness and from the hardships and tumults of the land and the sea during your journeys? When, you call upon Him humbly, openly and secretly, saying: “Verily, if we were delivered from hardships and tumults, we shall truly be among the thankful of the believers.

Ayah 6:64 says:
Say to them O Muhammad: ‘Allah delivers you from the hardships of the sea and the land and from every other distress and turmoil. Yet you associate others with Him’.

Ayah 6:65 says:
Say to them O Muhammad:
Allah has the power to send forth upon you a chastisement from above you as He did on the people of Noah and the people of Lot.
Allah has the power to send forth upon you a chastisement from beneath your feet or make the earth swallow you as it swallowed Korah (Qaroun), See the verses 28:76-82
Allah has the power to confound you, to confuse you, in parties, sects with differing whims, make divide into conflicting sects as He did with the Children of Israel after the prophets and Allah has the power to make you taste the violence of one another’, through fighting.
[When this was revealed, the Prophet Muhammad said, ‘I seek refuge with Your Countenance!’]
See O Muhammad how Allah display the revelations, how Allah expound in the Qur’n the events of past nations and that which Allah did with them so that they may understand Allah’s command s and His divine Oneness; that perhaps they might understand , that they might realise that what they follow is falsehood.

Chapter 50 of the Quran (20) the Earth Splits and they Come Rushing

On that day, the earth is split asunder and the entire human beings will come hastening forth rushing out of the graves. The bringing back to life after death and the assembly for the exposition and the reckoning before Allah is an easy matter for Allah.

——————————————-

The verse 50:44 continues talking about the day of coming forth from the graves which is the Day of Judgment; it says:

On the day when the earth is split asunder and the entire human beings will come hastening forth

They come forth speeding up and rushing out of the graves.

This is the gathering day of the entire human beings

That is an easy gathering for Allah to make.

The bringing back to life after death and the assembly for the exposition and the reckoning before Allah is an easy matter for Allah

The verse 50:45 says:

Allah knows best what the disbelievers say

And you O Muhammad are not a coercer of them, so as to coerce them to embrace Islam.

You O Muhammad are in nowise a compeller over them such that you enforce them to accept faith.

So admonish by the Quran those who fear Allah’s threat, namely, the believers.

The Quran will only benefit the one who fears Allah’s chastisement in the Afterlife.

It should be emphasized that Allah’s policy with the unbelievers of Mecca was very peaceful.

It was just to let them hear the Quran,

On the other hand, the unbelievers were very rude and they dealt with the Prophet Muhammad and his fellows with all the unbearable violence.

They tried to kill the Prophet Muhammad many times.

They did all of their best to eradicate all Muhammad’s companions.

At this stage, Allah commanded His Prophet Muhammad to struggle and fight them.

And this is the end of Chapter 50 of the Noble Quran.
