This is Allah (43) if you are Allah’s Messenger, Bring upon us Allah’s Torment

The Leaders of Thamood’s people Broke the Deal Made with their Prophet Salih

Thamood Killed the Marvel Camel and Flouted Allah’s Commandment

The Eventual Outcome if We Do Not Love the Sincere Advisers

The Wisdom of the Real Ancient Story of Thamood

————————————————-

Many people do not know Allah. This series, This is Allah (1- 49), is an attempt to help them in order to know and acknowledge their Creator.

Verses 7:73-75 of the Noble Quran talk about:

1) The leaders of Thamood’s people broke the deal made with their Prophet Salih,

2) Thamood killed the marvel Camel and flouted Allah’s commandment,

3) They said: if you are indeed Allah’s messenger, Bring upon us Allah’s torment,

4) The eventual outcome if we do not love the sincere advisers and

5) The wisdom of the real ancient story of Thamood.

————————————————-

In the previous article:

The leaders of Thamood said unto their Prophet Salih:

If you are truthful in your claim that you are a messenger from Allah, then tell your Lord to bring us a she-camel out of this (specific huge) rock!

Salih said: then you will believe?

They said: oh, yes, sure we will

Salih said: and you will let the she-camel eat and drink without bothering her?

They said: oh, yes, sure we will

Salih said: Look, if you hurt the she-camel you be seized by a severe chastisement

They said: agreed, deal !

Salih prayed to Allah to bring the she-camel out of the specific huge rock that they determined.

Allah did. Miraculously, this she-camel had no father, no mother; it just came out of the rock when Allah has said: Be.

But most of Thamood’s people especially their leaders did not believe in Allah and did not follow the teaching of their Prophet Salih.

the leaders of the arrogant party among his people said to those who were oppressed, to such of them as believed, that is, from among Thamood’s people who were overpowered, despised and weak:

So you know that Salih is sent from his Lord to you?

They, chieftains of Thamood’s people who were scornful, waxed proud, who disdained belief in Salih said that mocking.

The poor people replied: Yes! Truly we believe in the Message with which Salih has been sent.

————————————————-

The meaning of verse 7: 76

The leaders, those who were proud and scornful towards the believers said: ‘Truly we are disbelievers of that which you believe!’

And they broke the deal and did not keep their word that they had given their Prophet Salih.

Not only that but…

The meaning of verse 7: 77

They hamstrung the she-camel,

They killed the Most Amazing Camel in the History, the Miraculous Camel that has no Father and no Mother.

They hamstrung her by their command, killing her with a sword

And they flouted the commandment of their Lord,

They refused to accept the commands of their Lord with which Salih enjoined them,

And they, ‘O Salih, bring upon us that which you promised us, in the way of chastisement for our killing it, if you are indeed a messenger’; Bring upon us that which you threaten of torment if you are indeed Allah’s messenger; they said this out of mockery.

The meaning of verse 7: 78

So the Trembling, a violent earthquake and a cry from the heaven, a loud noise announcing their torment, seized them, and they lay lifeless prostrate in their habitations, keeled over their knees, dead without a movement (in their dwelling-place) in their town.

But what about Salih and the believers?

They left them before they were destroyed.

When Salih saw what happened, he said:

The meaning of verse 7: 79

Salih turned on them and said: O my people! I delivered my Lord’s message unto you, explaining the commands and prohibitions and gave you good advice; I warned you of Allah’s torment and called you to repent and believe, but you do not listen to those who advise you; you do not love sincere advisers.

Herein, in this story, two parties were given advice

The first party was sincere, Salih which is Allah’s messenger.

The second party was dishonest, proud, sarcastic leaders which are Satan’s hosts on the earth.

This story is repeated everyday; the wisdom of the story is to inspect what you hear, what you see, what you read, what you do and look at it;  is it from your Creator Who loves you or from your enemy, the Satan who want you end up in the Eternal Fire!

Verses 7:76-79 in different English translations of the meanings of Arabic Quran:

QARIB:

76) Those who were proud said: ‘we disbelieve in that which you believed in. ‘

77) (Then) they hamstrung the shecamel and defied the order of their lord, saying to salih: ‘bring down that which you have promised us if you truly are one of the messengers. ‘

78) Thereupon the earthquake seized them, at morning in their dwellings they were crouched, dead.

79) He turned from them, saying: ‘i conveyed to you, my nation the message of my lord and gave you counsel; but you had no love for sincere advisers. ‘

SHAKIR:

76) Those who were haughty said: surely we are deniers of what you believe in

77) So they slew the she-camel and revolted against their lord’s commandment, and they said: o salih! bring us what you threatened us with, if you are one of the messengers

78) Then the earthquake overtook them, so they became motionless bodies in their abode

79) Then he turned away from them and said: o my people i did certainly deliver to you the message of my lord, and i gave you good advice, but you do not love those who give good advice

PICKTHAL:

76) Those who were scornful said: lo! in that which ye believe we are disbelievers.

77) So they hamstrung the she-camel, and they flouted the commandment of their lord, and they said: o salih! bring upon us that thou threatenest if thou art indeed of those sent (from Allah).

78) So the earthquake seized them, and morning found them prostrate in their dwelling-place.

79) And (Salih) turned from them and said: o my people! i delivered my lord’s message unto you and gave you good advice, but ye love not good advisers.

YUSUFALI:

76) The arrogant party said: “for our part, we reject what ye believe in.”

77) Then they ham-strung the she-camel, and insolently defied the order of their lord, saying: “o salih! bring about thy threats, if thou art a messenger (of Allah)!”

78) So the earthquake took them unawares, and they lay prostrate in their homes in the morning!

79) So Salih left them, saying: “o my people! i did indeed convey to you the message for which i was sent by my lord: i gave you good counsel, but ye love not good counsellors!”

Allah Asks you (29) will you then submit to Allah’ Will?

Allah Says that Muhammad is a Mercy to all the worlds

Satan says the opposite!

where are you in this crucial issue?

Only Allah Knows when the Day of Resurrection is

————————————————-

In the Noble Quran, Allah is asking mankind some important questions.

It seems compulsory for the serious one who is looking for the truth to have a look at those questions and if possible to answer them.

Allah’ questions are many. In this series, these questions are chosen randomly.

Allah is asking mankind this question: Say: it is only revealed to me that your God is one, Allah; will you then submit? But if they turn back, say: I have given you warning in fairness; although I do not know whether nigh or far that which you are promised of chastisement is with respect to the Day of Resurrection that comprises this chastisement; only Allah knows it.

————————————————-

The question in this article is to all the disbelievers:

Say: it is only revealed to me that your God is one, Allah; will you then submit? But if they turn back, say: I have given you warning in fairness; although I do not know whether nigh or far that which you are promised of chastisement is with respect to the Day of Resurrection that comprises this chastisement; only Allah knows it.

If you submit yourself to Allah then you are a Muslim and if not, you are not.

You totally have the freedom of belief, but are you ready for the “Hour”?

————————————————-

Verses 21:107-110 give the question of this article and talk about it

The meanings of Verses 21:107-110

Verse 21:107 says:

We did not send you O Muhammad, except as a mercy to all the worlds, the worlds of mankind and jinn through you; that shields from chastisement for the peoples from among the Jinn, humans and all those who believe in you; it is also said that mercy here means blessing.

Herein, there is a very important question:

Allah, the Creator of the worlds says that He sent Muhammad as a mercy to all the worlds.

On the other hand, Satan and his hosts say the opposite.

Well, where are you in this crucial issue?

Verse 21:108 says:

Say O Muhammad: It is inspired unto me in this Quran that your God is One; Allah Who has no children or partners.  So will you submit?

Will you then surrender unto Him?

will you accede to affirming the Oneness of the Divine that is being revealed to me?

will you then believe and be sincere in your worship and profession of Allah’s divine Oneness!

Verse 21:109 says:

If you submit yourself to Allah then you are a Muslim and if not, you are not.

You totally have the freedom of belief, but are you ready for the “Hour”?

But if they turn away from faith and sincerity, then say to them, O Muhammad:

I have warned you, I have informed you, and as such you and I have become all alike both of us are openly aware of the matter and there is no secret, that is to say, you are all equal in having knowledge of this: I shall not proceed independently without having first informed you, in order for you to make preparations, although I do not know whether nigh or far that which you are promised of chastisement is with respect to the Day of Resurrection that comprises this chastisement; only Allah knows it.

Verse 21:110 says:

Indeed He, exalted be He, knows whatever is spoken aloud, and what you and others do, and He knows what you conceal, both you and others, of secrets of words and deeds, just as He knows the time of your chastisement.

————————————————-

Verses 21:107-110 in different translations:

QARIB:

107) We have not sent you (Prophet Muhammad) except as a mercy to all the worlds.

108) Say: ‘it is revealed to me that your god is one god, do you then surrender? ‘

109) If they turn back, say: ‘I have warned you all alike, though I cannot tell whether what you are promised is imminent or distant.

110) He knows your spoken words and what you hide.

SHAKIR:

107) And we have not sent you but as a mercy to the worlds

108) Say: it is only revealed to me that your Allah is one Allah; will you then submit?

109) But if they turn back, say: I have given you warning in fairness and I do not know whether what you are threatened with is near or far;

110) Surely he knows what is spoken openly and he knows what you hide;

PICKTHAL:

107) We sent thee not save as a mercy for the peoples.

108) Say: it is only inspired in me that your Allah is one Allah. will ye then surrender (unto him)?

109) But if they are averse, then say: I have warned you all alike, although I know not whether nigh or far is that which ye are promised.

110) Lo! he knoweth that which is said openly, and that which ye conceal.

YUSUFALI:

107) We sent thee not, but as a mercy for all creatures.

108) Say: “what has come to me by inspiration is that your Allah is one Allah: will ye therefore bow to his will (in islam)?”

109) But if they turn back, say: “I have proclaimed the message to you all alike and in truth; but I know not whether that which ye are promised is near or far.

110) “It is he who knows what is open in speech and what ye hide (in your hearts).

Chapter 6 of the Quran (92) None Can Escape

Allah can eradicate the entire unbelievers and can cause what He will to follow after you, even as He raised you from the seed of other folk generation after generation.  Truly, that which you were promised of the dwelling of the unbelievers in the Eternal Hell will surely come to pass, finally, and they cannot escape and none of their friends can help them

——————————————-

Ayah 6:133 says:

Your Lord is Independent of His creatures and their worship.

Thy Lord is the Absolute free of the need for their faith

He is the Lord of Mercy.

If He will, He can remove the entire unbelievers by destroying you, and leave whom He will, of creatures, to succeed after you, just as He raised you from the seed of other people; but He has spewed you, as a mercy to you.

Allah can remove the entire unbelievers and can cause what He will to follow after you, even as He raised you from the seed of other folk generation after generation.

Ayah 6:134 says:

Truly, that which you were promised will surely come to pass and nobody can escape.

This means that:

Truly, that which you were promised, of Death will surely come to pass, inevitably, and you cannot escape

Truly, that which you were promised of revival will surely come to pass, unescapably, and you cannot elude

Truly, that which you were promised of the Hour will surely come to pass, unavoidably, and you cannot escape

Truly, that which you were promised of Day of Judgment will surely come to pass, certainly, and you cannot escape

Truly, that which you were promised of questioning you for what you have done in the life of this world will surely come to pass, definitely, and you cannot escape

Truly, that which you were promised of the chastisement of the unbelievers will surely come to pass, unquestionably, and they cannot escape

Truly, that which you were promised of the dwelling of the unbelievers in the Eternal Hell will surely come to pass, finally, and they cannot escape and none of their friends can help them

YUSUFALI:

134) all that hath been promised unto you will come to pass: nor can ye frustrate it (in the least bit).

Chapter 6 of the Quran (56) Abraham’s Descendants – B

Abraham’s Descendants are Ishmael, the firstborn son of Abraham, Elisha, Elias, Jonah, and Zachariah (and his son John) and Jesus. Allah preferred all of them above the people of their own time through prophethood.

——————————————-

In the previous articles, Abraham’s people, the idolators and the astrologers, threatened him that their gods would severely harm him with many malicious things like diseases, poverty, infertility etc.

As a matter of fact, Abraham was infertile up to his age of eighty years.

Was that because those false gods had really harmed him so that he will never ever have a son?

They threatened Abraham that their gods will hurt him and make him infertile.

But, Abraham’s God, Allah, made Abraham the father of the prophets.

Noah and Abraham are the key fathers in the genealogy of any prophet

Ayah 6:85 says:

And Zachariah (and his son John), Jesus and Elias (the paternal nephew of Aaron, Moses’ brother); all of them were of the righteous

Allah guided all of them by bestowing upon them prophethood and and surrender to Allah; and all of them were of the seed of Abraham and they were messengers.

Ayah 6:85 says:

Also mention as Noah and Abraham’s Descendants Ishmael, the firstborn son of Abraham, Elisha Jonah and Lot.

Allah preferred all of them above the people of their own time, both believers and unbelievers, through prophethood.

Ayah 6:85 says:

With some of their forefathers (Adam, Seth, Enoch, Noah, Hud, and Salih): Allah guided all of them by bestowing prophethood and Islam upon them; and also of their offspring and their brethren i.e. the offspring of Jacob and the brothers of Joseph.

Allah chose them and guided them unto the straight path and made them firm on His path.

—————————————————

The verses 6:85-87 in different translations

QARIB:

85) And (prophets) Zachariah, John, Jesus and Elias, each was of the righteous,

86) And Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah and Lot. Each we preferred above the worlds,

87) As we did their fathers, their descendants, and their brothers. we chose them and guided them to a straight path.

SHAKIR:

85) And zakariya and yahya and isa and ilyas; every one was of the good;

86) And Ismail and Al-yasha and Yunus and Lut; and every one we made to excel (in) the worlds:

87) And from among their fathers and their descendants and their brethren, and we chose them and guided them into the right way

PICKTHAL:

85) And zachariah and john and jesus and elias. each one (of them) was of the righteous.

86) And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot each one (of them) did we prefer above (our) creatures,

87) With some of their forefathers and their offspring and their brethren; and we chose them and guided them unto a straight path.

YUSUFALI:

85) And zakariya and john, and Jesus and elias: all in the ranks of the righteous:

86) And isma’il and Elisha, and Jonas, and Lot: and to all we gave favour above the nations:

87) (To them) and to their fathers, and progeny and brethren: we chose them, and we guided them to a straight way.

Chapter 6 of the Quran (55) Abraham’s Descendants – A

Allah guided Abraham to the straight path. Allah honoured Abraham by bestowing upon him and his Descendants prophethood and surrender to Allah. The idolators and astrologers.threatened Abraham that their gods will hurt him amd make him infertile. But, Abraham’s God, Allah, made him the father of the prophets.

—————————————————

In In the previous articles, Allah bestowed upon the wisdom and the knowledge. Allah guided him and showed to him the straight path to worship Him.

Allah invited Abraham to a miraculous trip in the space to show him that the stars, the sun, the planets and the moon are but creatures.

Abraham perfectly used his wisdom and knowledge to debate his people.

As you knew, Abraham’s people were idolators and astrologers.

The idolators used to worship many idols made of stones.

The astrologers were planets’ worshippers, moon’s worshippers and/or sun and stars’ worshippers.

Abraham’s father was among the idolators.

Abraham’s duty was to peacefully convince all those wrong worshippers that they are wrong.

Abraham told his father and the indlators that worshipping idols is but unreasonable because idols are not by any means our supreme Creator.

In addition, Abraham desired to show up his astrologers’ people that they are wrong in their belief.

Abraham gave them three indirect lessons to show them that they have mistaken believe in in the supreme Creator who has created the Sun, Moon, Stars, and Planets etc.

The first Abraham’s indirect teaching was to the group of his astrologers’ people who were planets’ worshippers and used to worship Venus.

The second Abraham’s indirect teaching was to the group of his astrologers’ people who were the moon’s worshippers.

The third Abraham’s indirect teaching was to the group of his astrologers’ people who were the Sun’s worshippers.

Abraham’s people, the idolators and the astrologers threatened him that their gods would severely harm him with many malicious things like diseases, poverty, infertility etc.

As a matter of fact, Abraham was infertile up to his age of eighty years.

Was that because those false gods had really harmed him so that he will never ever have a son?

The answer is found in Ayah 6:84; Allah says:

We guided Abraham to the straight path, the same as We have guided Noah before Abraham

We bestowed upon Abraham; Isaac and, his son, Jacob

We guided Isaac and, his son, Jacob, to the straight path.

We honoured them by bestowing upon them prophethood and surrender to Allah

Abraham was the seed of Noah

And among Noah and Abraham’s Descendants were David, Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses and Aaron

We guided all of them by bestowing upon them prophethood and surrender to Allah.

All of them confess Allah’s divine Oneness; and this is how We requite the virtuous.

Moreover, their reward in the Afterlife will be great in the Eternal Paradise.

They threatened Abraham that their gods will hurt him amd make him infertile.

But, Abraham’s God, Allah, made Abraham the father of the prophets.

—————————————————

The verse 6:84 in different translations

QARIB:

We gave him isaac and jacob and guided both; and we guided noah before them, among his descendants were david and solomon, job, joseph, Moses and Aaron as such, we recompense the gooddoers,

SHAKIR:

And we gave to him ishaq and yaqoub; each did we guide, and nuh did we guide before, and of his descendants, dawood and sulaiman and ayub and yusuf and Haroun; and thus do we reward those who do good (to others)

PICKTHAL:

And we bestowed upon him Isaac and jacob; each of them we guided; and noah did we guide aforetime; and of his seed (we guided) david and solomon and job and joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do we reward the good.

YUSUFALI:

We gave him Isaac and Jacob: all (three) guided: and before him, we guided noah, and among his progeny, david, Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses, and Aaron: thus do we reward those who do good:

Chapter 6 of the Quran (53) Abraham’s Religion – C

Abraham said to his people: How should I fear what you worship as gods when they can neither profit nor harm? How should I fear your idols when they can neither help nor hurt? How should I fear the sun when it is one of the creatures of the Almighty Creator? How come that you do not fear Allah, you Almighty Creator when He has power over all things?

—————————————————

In the previous articles, Abraham directly and indirectly told his people that it is unreasonable to worship the idols, the Sun, the Moon, the Stars, and the Planets. He said to them that these things they used to worship as god(s) are but irrational.

Abraham said to them that they should worship the originator of the heavens and the earth.

Abraham’s people disputed with him and argued with him about his belief.

Abraham’s people threatened him that their gods would strike him with evil if he criticized them; they said that their gods would strike Abraham with diseases, poverty, infertility etc.

Abraham said: I have no fear of what you associate with Him, in the way of false gods, that they might strike me with some evil, since they have no power to do anything.

.

In Ayah 6:81, Abraham continued:

How should I fear what you worship as gods when they can neither profit nor harm.

How should I fear your idols when they can neither help nor hurt?

How should I fear the sun when it is one of the creatures of the Almighty Creator?

How should I fear the moon when it is one of the creatures of the Almighty Creator?

How come that you do not fear that you have associated with Allah, in worship, that for which He has not revealed to you any warrant?

How come that you do not fear that you worship instead of Allah gods that you do not have any proof that they have created you?

How come that you do not fear Allah, you Almighty Creator when He has power over all things?

Abraham conyinued saying:

Now, which of the two parties has more right to security and to feel safe, those who worship Allah or those who worship your gods? Answer if you have any wisdom and knowledge

—————————————————

The verse 6:81 in different translations

QARIB:

And how should I fear what you have associated when you yourselves are not afraid that you have associated with Allah that which he did not send down for it upon you an authority. Which of the two parties is more deserving of safety, if you know?

SHAKIR:

And how should I fear what you have set up (with him), while you do not fear that you have set up with Allah that for which he has not sent down to you any authority; which then of the two parties is surer of security, if you know?

PICKTHAL:

How should I fear that which ye set up beside him, when ye fear not to set up beside Allah that for which he hath revealed unto you no warrant? Which of the two factions hath more right to safety? (answer me that) if ye have knowledge.

YUSUFALI:

“How should I fear (the beings) ye associate with Allah, when ye fear not to give partners to Allah without any warrant having been given to you? Which of (us) two parties hath more right to security? (tell me) if ye know.

Chapter 6 of the Quran (52) Abraham’s Religion – B

Abraham said to his people: Do you dispute with me concerning, the Oneness and Almighty of, Allah when He has guided me to the true and straight path. Do you scwere me and threaten me that your false gods would strike me with diseases, poverty, and infertility? I have no fear of what you associate with Allah since they have no power to do anything.

—————————————————————————————————-

In the previous article, Abraham’s people said to him: you do not worship our gods (the idols, the Sun, Moon, Stars, and Planets) then what you worship?

Abraham answered them:

Verily I worship Him who originated the heavens and the earth, inclining towards the upright religion, and I am not of those that associate others with Him.

But his people disputed with him about his religion, they argued with him about his belief.

Not only that but they threatened him that the idols and their other gods would strike him with evil if he aband oned them.

They threatened him that the idols and their other gods would strike him with diseases, poverty, infertility etc.

In Ayah 6:80, Abraham said to them:

Do you dispute with me concerning, the Oneness and Almighty of, Allah when He, exalted be He, has guided me to the true and straight path.

Do you argue with me, concerning, the greatness and Almighty of, Allah when He, exalted be He, has showed me his greatness and power!

Do you scwere me and threaten me that your false gods would strike me with diseases, poverty, and infertility?

I have no fear of what you associate with Him, in the way of false gods, that they might strike me with some evil, since they have no power to do anything.

Nothing would harm me unless my Lord wills something, harmful to befall me and it does.

My Lord encompasses all things through His knowledge. My Lord knows that you do not follow the Truth

Now, will you not consider and take admonition from the warning I am telling you about? Will you not remember this and believe?

—————————————————

The verse 6:80 in different translations

QARIB:

His nation argued with him. he said: ‘will you argue with me about Allah, indeed he guided me! except by his will, i do not fear those you associate with him. my lord embraces all things in knowledge, will you not remember?

SHAKIR:

And his people disputed with him. he said: do you dispute with me respecting Allah? and he has guided me indeed; and i do not fear in any way those that you set up with him, unless my lord pleases; my lord comprehends all things in his knowledge; will you not then mind?

PICKTHAL:

His people argued with him. he said: dispute ye with me concerning Allah when he hath guided me? i fear not at all that which ye set up beside him unless my lord willeth aught. my lord includeth all things in his knowledge. Will ye not then remember?

YUSUFALI:

His people disputed with him. he said: “(come) ye to dispute with me, about Allah, when he (himself) hath guided me? i fear not (the beings) ye associate with Allah: unless my lord willeth, (nothing can happen). my lord comprehendeth in his knowledge all things. will ye not (yourselves) be admonished?

Chapter 6 of the Quran (32) the Quran Warns Those…

The Quran is warning those who recognize they have no intercessor other than Allah, to intercede for them at the Day of Judgment. Verily, the believers fear their Lord in the life of this world especially the sinning believers. What they fear?

—————————————————————————————————-

In the previous article, Allah commanded His Last Prophet Muhammad to ask the unbelievers these questions that were addressed to the entire unbelievers whenever and wherever they were:

Is the unbeliever (the blind man) equal to the believer (the seeing man)?

Were the unbelievers and the believers equal in acts of obedience and reward?

Were the unbelievers and the believers equal in fearing of their Creator?

Were the unbelievers and the believers identical in their outcome at the Day of Judgment?

Will you not then take thought about the similes of the Quran?

Then Ayah 6:51 says:

The Quran is warning and threatening those who fear they shall be gathered to their Lord at the Day of Judgment.

The Quran is warning and threatening those who realize that apart from their Lord they have no protector, to help them at the Day of Judgment.

The Quran is warning and threatening those who know that they have no intercessor other than Allah, to intercede for them at the Day of Judgment.

The Quran is warning and threatening those who recognize they have no savior other than Allah, to save them from the torment at the Day of Judgment.

It is well known that there were believers and unbelievers in respect to the Quran.

For unbelievers, they deny the Quran and they do not fear their Lord in the life of this world; but they will essentially fear Him at the Day of Judgment.

For believers, they certainly fear their Lord in the life of this world especially the sinning believers. What they fear?

It is said that the sinning believers were meant herein in this verse; so that they might be wary, of Allah, by desisting from what they engage in and performing deeds of obedience.

In other words, they may ward off evil and ward off transgressions, and this will help them perform works of obedience.

—————————————————

The verses 6:51 in different translations

QARIB:

And warn with it those who fear to be brought before their lord that they have no guardian or intercessor, other than Allah, in order that they were cautious.

SHAKIR:

And warn with it those who fear that they shall be gathered to their lord– there is no guardian for them, nor any intercessor besides him– that they may guard (against evil)

PICKTHAL:

Warn hereby those who fear (because they know) that they will be gathered unto their lord, for whom there is no protecting ally nor intercessor beside him, that they may ward off (evil).

YUSUFALI:

Give this warning to those in whose (hearts) is the fear that they will be brought (to judgment) before their lord: except for him they will have neither protector nor intercessor: that they may guard (against evil).

Chapter 50 of the Quran (1) Arabs Yesterday = Atheists Today

The name of Chapter 50 is Qaf. Oaf is an Arabic letter.

In the verse 50:1, Allah Exalted is He, made an oath by His strength and omnipotence that the Quran is the glorious and the honored book and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. However, the disbelievers have certainly not believed in Muhammad and in the Quran.

The verse 50:2 says:

The disbelievers marveled that Allah made this oath: they wondered when they were told that they will be resurrected after death; they do not believe that.

In addition, they do not believe that Allah sent a messenger, from their own lineage, who is one of them, to warn them if they do not believe in Allah.

They consider it odd that there should have come to them a warner from among themselves to threaten them with the punishment of the Fire after resurrection.

So the disbelievers say: This warning is a strange thing!

They say that what Muhammad proclaims, i.e. that they will be resurrected after death, is a strange thing, is an impossible thing that will never happen.

The verse 50:3 says:

Mockingly, the disbelievers say:

When we are dead and have become dust shall we be brought back again? Shall we return to life again?

That which Muhammad claims would be a far-fetched return!

Thus, they belied Muhammad and denied resurrection after death.

It is interesting that man is the man regardless the great advances in knowledge, communications and technology.

The Arabs more than 1444 years ago denied resurrection after death.

Also, the Atheists today deny resurrection after death.
