Atheists in Quran (50) think about Earth’s Rotation

The Quran talks about Earth’s rotation saying:

Have you considered, if Allah were to make the night everlasting over you until the Day of Resurrection? Who is a god beside Allah who could bring you light? Moreover,

What would you think if Allah made daylight everlasting for you until the Day of Judgment without night? Who is a god beside Allah who could bring you night?

———————————

Earth’s rotation is the rotation of the Earth around its own axis. The Earth rotates from the west towards the east in counter-clockwise movement.

The Earth rotates once in about 24 hours with respect to the sun.

Earth’s Rotation is the cause Day and Night.

Half of the Earth is daylight while, at the same time, the other half is dark night.

Watch this video of “Day and Night and Earth’s Rotation”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLl8sDZRSYg

Now let us see how the Quran has dealt with this scientific knowledge since more than 1400 years ago.

The Quran declares many times that Allah, the Almighty Creator, created the Earth.

Allah gave the Earth its features that causes seasons, night and day, earthquake, volcanic eruptions, fertile soil, Desertification etc.

The Earth submits totally to Allah’s will.

Allah commanded the Earth to rotate around its own axis from the west towards the east once in about 24 hours and the Earth obeyed.

What if Allah commands the Earth to stop its rotation around its axis?

What if Allah orders the Earth: Stop Rotation?

In this case,

  • Half of the Earth that is facing the sun will be eternally daylight
  • The other half will be eternally dark night

The verses 28:71-72 of the Noble Quran talk about this issue.

The verses take the Atheists and unbelievers on a round presenting them with scenes of the universe. The verses alert them to two great universal signs.

The daily two alternative miracles

In the physical world the Night and the Day are both blessings, the one for rest and the other for work, and the alternation itself is one of the mercies of Allah, and none but Allah can give us these blessings.

Because of their long familiarity with the succession of night and day, people forget their ever-renewing status. Rarely do they admire the sunrise or sunset, and only rarely do they reflect thoughtfully on the spreading of the day or the darkening that ushers in the night. They do not reflect on the act of grace that brings their succession with all that it involves of mercy and life renewal. The Quran alerts them from the long familiarity that blunts their senses and invites them to reflect on these great universal scenes. It presents them with the possibility of either the night or the day lasting forever, and the terrible consequences of either eventuality.

It is a fact that people seldom appreciate things until they lose them.

The meanings of the verses 28:71-72

Say, to them, O Muhammad: ‘Have you considered, if Allah were to make the night everlasting over you until the Day of Resurrection, what god other than Allah, could bring you daylight during which you could earn a living?

Will you not then listen to this in a way to understand it, and so repent and submit to Allah?

Will you not then hear?

Will you not obey He who made the day and the night for you?

People miss the light of day when the winter nights become a little longer, and cannot wait for the bright sun when it disappears for a few hours behind clouds. What will they do then if they lose its light completely, with the night stretching perpetually over their world?

This question supposes that they will remain alive in such an eventuality, when all life is in peril unless daylight is forthcoming.

Moreover,

Say also to them, O Muhammad: what do you think if Allah made daylight everlasting for you until the Day of Judgment without night, who is a god other than Allah who could, bring you night wherein you rest from any weariness?

Will you not then see the error you are upon when you do not believe and so repent of it.

Will you not believe He Who made the day and the night for you?

People look for the shade when the hours of day stretch and become very hot, and they look forward to the coming of the night when the days stretch longer in the summer. They enjoy their repose and rest in the night. All creatures need the night when they can renew the energy they spend during the day. What would happen to them then, should they remain alive, if the day is endlessly perpetuated until the Day of Judgment?

Indeed, all life could perish in a day that never ends.

The verses 28:71-72 in different translations:

QARIB:

71-Say: ‘think! What if Allah should enshroud you in unceasing night till the day of resurrection, what god, other than Allah, shall bring you light! Will you not hear?’

72-Say: ‘what would you think if Allah should make the day unceasing over you till the day of resurrection, what god, other than Allah, shall bring you the night to sleep in. will you not see? ‘

SHAKIR:

71-Say: tell me, if Allah were to make the night to continue incessantly on you till the day of resurrection, who is the god besides Allah that could bring you light? Do you not then hear?

72-Say: tell me, if Allah were to make the day to continue incessantly on you till the day of resurrection, who is the god besides Allah that could bring you the night in which you take rest? Do you not then see?

PICKTHAL:

71-Say: have ye thought, if Allah made night everlasting for you till the day of resurrection, who is a god beside Allah who could bring you light? Will ye not then hear?

72-Say: have ye thought, if Allah made day everlasting for you till the day of resurrection, who is a god beside Allah who could bring you night wherein ye rest? Will ye not then see?

YUSUFALI:

71-Say: see ye? If Allah were to make the night perpetual over you to the day of judgment, what god is there other than Allah, who can give you enlightenment? Will ye not then hearken?

72-Say: see ye? if Allah were to make the day perpetual over you to the day of judgment, what god is there other than Allah, who can give you a night in which ye can rest? Will ye not then see?

The Donkey in Bible vs. Quran vs. Science – A

In the Bible, God commands to kill the donkeys especially the firstborn one. In addition, the Bible says that 1) Egyptian’s genitals are like those of donkeys, 2) the Donkey has to keep the Sabbath 3) A donkey spoke with a man’s voice! 4) Samson killed a thousand men with a jawbone of a donkey etc.
—————————————–
Upon talking about the Donkey, the Bible give a dozen of interesting issues and says:
1) Kill men and women, children and infants, and donkeys, etc…
2) “Ishmael” will be a wild donkey of a man.
3) Either Redeem or Kill the firstborn donkey.
4) Do not “covet” your neighbor’s wife or donkey.
5) You and your Donkey have to keep the Sabbath.
6) How do you deal with the donkey, and the fools?
7) Drag away and throw outside the dead donkey.
8) The donkey knows his owner’s manger, but Israel does not know
9) The Egyptian’s genitals are like those of donkeys!
10) Samson killed a thousand men with a jawbone of a donkey!
11) O, they (Israelites) destroyed with the sword every living thing.
12) Go and destroy everything. Do not spare them.
—————————————–
The Bible mentions the donkey 142 times and the Quran mentions the donkey four times, i.e., the Bible cites the donkey 35 times more than the Quran does.
Furthermore, the total words of the Bible are 788,280 while the total words of the Quran are 77,473. It follows that, the Bible has the likely of more than 10 times than the Quran to talk about the donkey.
In addition, the Bible has the prospective of more than 35 times than the Quran to tell us about the donkey.
—————————————–
The Donkey in the Bible:
Kill every living creature. Do not spare any:
They destroyed with the sword every living thing in it—men and women, young and old, donkeys, etc…
Go and destroy everything. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, donkeys, etc…
Kill men and women, children and infants, and donkeys, etc…
Joshua 6:21
“They devoted the city to the LORD and destroyed with the sword every living thing in it—men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys.”
1 Samuel 15:3
“Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’ “
1 Samuel 22:19
“He also put to the sword Nob, the town of the priests, with its men and women, its children and infants, and its cattle, donkeys and sheep.”
1 Samuel 27:9
“Whenever David attacked an area, he did not leave a man or woman alive, but took sheep and cattle, donkeys and camels, and clothes. Then he returned to Achish”.

The Bible says that “Ishmael” will be a wild donkey of a man and sets on the root of Arabs-Jews conflict and intolerance.
Genesis 16:12
“He (Ishmael) will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.”
One may think about why Moses wrote in Genesis that His Uncle “Ishmael” would be a wild donkey of a man. Is it polite to say that about His Uncle? Is not that a race-discrimination? Is not very shameful to say that Isaac’s brother is a donkey? Is not Isaac the grandfather of the Lord Jesus?
Although this nasty Biblical claims sets on the root of Arabs-Jews conflict and intolerance; however, it does not hurt the two great Prophet Ishmael and Isaac.

Either Redeem or Kill the firstborn donkey.
One has to redeem every firstborn donkey with a lamb; but if he does not, he has to break its neck. Either way, there should be blood of the lamb or the donkey!
Exodus 13:13
“Redeem with a lamb every firstborn donkey, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck.”
Exodus 34:20
“Redeem the firstborn donkey with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck.”

In addition, there is a prophecy about the ox and donkey:
Deuteronomy 28:31
“Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will eat none of it. Your donkey will be forcibly taken from you and will not be returned. Your sheep will be given to your enemies, and no one will rescue them.”

Do not “covet” your neighbor’s wife or donkey.
Exodus 20:17
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
Deuteronomy 5:21
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife. You shall not set your desire on your neighbor’s house or land, his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

The Donkey has to keep the Sabbath:
You and your Donkey have to keep the Sabbath.
Exodus 23:12
“Six days do your work, but on the seventh day do not work, so that your ox and your donkey may rest and the slave born in your household, and the alien as well, may be refreshed.”
Deuteronomy 5:14
“But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your ox, your donkey or any of your animals, nor the alien within your gates, so that your manservant and maidservant may rest, as you do.”

How do you deal with the donkey, and the fools? With a halter and a rod
Proverbs 26:3
“A whip for the horse, a halter for the donkey, and a rod for the backs of fools!”

The donkey knows his owner’s manger, but “Israel” does not know
Isaiah 1:3
“The ox knows his master, the donkey his owner’s manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.”

The donkeys will eat fodder and mash, spread out with fork and shovel.
Isaiah 30:24
“The oxen and donkeys that work the soil will eat fodder and mash, spread out with fork and shovel.”

The policy of burial of a donkey
How do you burry your donkey? Drag away and throw outside.
Jeremiah 22:19
“He will have the burial of a donkey— dragged away and thrown outside the gates of Jerusalem.”

The Egyptian’s genitals are like those of donkeys and their emission (semen) is like that of horses. Wow!
Being an Egyptian, I do not know if I should be proud or insulted because of this anatomical and biological verse!
However, this verse may be interested to those who are looking for outstanding genitals!
Ezekiel 23:20
“There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses.”

This following verse talks about a man who will eat grass like cattle.
However, the man’s stomach is not like that of cattle.
Scientifically speaking, Man cannot utilize and metabolize grass
Daniel 5:21
“He was driven away from people and given the mind of an animal; he lived with the wild donkeys and ate grass like cattle; and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven, until he acknowledged that the Most High God is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and sets over them anyone he wishes.”

Believe it or Not!
Unbelievably! The Bible narrates two stories
1) Samson killed a thousand men with a jawbone of a donkey!
Judges 15:15
“Finding a fresh jawbone of a donkey, he grabbed it and struck down a thousand men.”
Judges 15:16
“Then Samson said, “With a donkey’s jawbone I have made donkeys of them. With a donkey’s jawbone I have killed a thousand men.”

2) A donkey spoke with a man’s voice!
2Peter 2:16
“But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey—a beast without speech—who spoke with a man’s voice and restrained the prophet’s madness”.

The Cow in Bible vs. Quran

In the Bible, God says: 1) the lion will eat straw like the ox; 2) you will bake your bread over cow manure instead of human excrement, etc. In addition, The Lord God will use a razor hired from beyond the River.

On the other hand, the Quran talks about the Story of the cow and the revival of the killed Israelite etc.

————————————————————————————————

The Cow is mentioned 34 in the Bible and four times in the Quran.

The Bible talks about 11 issues related to the cows; they are:

1) The lion will eat straw like the ox.

2) God will let you bake your bread over cow manure

3) God will use a hired razor

4) Do not slaughter a cow and its young on the same day.

5) Jacob’s gift to his brother was 40 cows

6) The Pharaoh’s dream of fat and lean cows.

7) The decoration of the Tent of Meeting and the Alter by Sea cows

8) Cheese from cows’ milk for David

9) Their cows calve and do not miscarry

10) The two cows did a good favor but they burnt them

11) The cows of Bashan is a symbol of Israel.

On the other hand, the Quran talks about three issues related to the cows; they are:

1) The Story of the cow and the revival of the killed Israelite

2) What is forbidden to eat, the male, the female, or the newborn cow?

3) Joseph interpreted the Egyptian\s King’s dream of the fat cows and the seven lean cows

————————————————————————————————

The Cow in the Bible

1) The lion will eat straw like the ox.

2) The Lord God will let you bake your bread over cow manure instead of human excrement.”

Ezekiel 4:15

“Very well,” he said, “I will let you bake your bread over cow manure instead of human excrement.”

3) The Lord God will use a razor hired from beyond the River

I wonder why the Lord uses a razor hired from beyond the River. Why He does not have a razor?

Isaiah 7:20 & 21

20- In that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the River the king of Assyria to shave your head and the hair of your legs, and to take off your beards also.

21- In that day, a man will keep alive a young cow and two goats.

5) A part of Jacob’s gift to his brother was 40 cows

Genesis 32:15

Thirty female camels with their young, forty cows and ten bulls, and twenty female donkeys and ten male donkeys.

If they (the cows) are driven hard just one day, all the animals will die.

In fact, this is not true from the scientific point of view

Genesis 33:13

But Jacob said to him, “My lord knows that the children are tender and that I must care for the ewes and cows that are nursing their young. If they are driven hard just one day, all the animals will die.

6) The Pharaoh’s dream of the fat cows and the seven lean cows.

2-When out of the river there came up seven cows, sleek and fat, and they grazed among the reeds.

3-After them, seven other cows, ugly and gaunt, came up out of the Nile and stood beside those on the riverbank.

4-And the cows that were ugly and gaunt ate up the seven sleek, fat cows. Then Pharaoh woke up.

18-When out of the river there came up seven cows, fat and sleek, and they grazed among the reeds.

19-After them, seven other cows came up—scrawny and very ugly and lean. I had never seen such ugly cows in all the land of Egypt.

20-The lean, ugly cows ate up the seven fat cows that came up first.

26-The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good heads of grain are seven years; it is one and the same dream.

27-The seven lean, ugly cows that came up afterward are seven years, and so are the seven worthless heads of grain scorched by the east wind: They are seven years of famine.

7) The decoration of the Tent of Meeting by Sea cows, acacia wood, shielding curtain, scarlet cloth, ram skins, the tent, goat hair, scarlet yarn and linen.

Exodus 25:5

Ram skins dyed red and hides of sea cows ; acacia wood;

Exodus 26:14

Everyone who had blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen, or goat hair, ram skins dyed red or hides of sea cows brought them.

Exodus 36:19

Then they made for the tent a covering of ram skins dyed red, and over that a covering of hides of sea cows.

Exodus 39:34

The covering of ram skins dyed red, the covering of hides of sea cows and the shielding curtain;

Numbers 4:6

Then they are to cover this with hides of sea cows, spread a cloth of solid blue over that and put the poles in place.

Numbers 4:8

Over these they are to spread a scarlet cloth, cover that with hides of sea cows and put its poles in place.

Numbers 4:10

Then they are to wrap it and all its accessories in a covering of hides of sea cows and put it on a carrying frame.

14-Then they are to place on it all the utensils used for ministering at the altar, including the firepans, meat forks, shovels and sprinkling bowls. Over it they are to spread a covering of hides of sea cows and put its poles in place.

25-They are to carry the curtains of the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, its covering and the outer covering of hides of sea cows, the curtains for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting,

8) Cheese from cows’ milk for David and his people to eat.

2 Samuel 17:29

honey and curds, sheep, and cheese from cows’ milk for David and his people to eat. For they said, “The people have become hungry and tired and thirsty in the desert.”

9) Their cows calve and do not miscarry

Job 21:10

Their bulls never fail to breed; their cows calve and do not miscarry.

10) The two cows did a good favor but the people sacrificed the cows as a burnt offering to the LORD.

1 Samuel 6:7, 10, 12 and 14

7-“Now then, get a new cart ready, with two cows that have calved and have never been yoked. Hitch the cows to the cart, but take their calves away and pen them up.

10-So they did this. They took two such cows and hitched them to the cart and penned up their calves.

12-Then the cows went straight up toward Beth Shemesh, keeping on the road and lowing all the way; they did not turn to the right or to the left. The rulers of the Philistines followed them as far as the border of Beth Shemesh.

14-The cart came to the field of Joshua of Beth Shemesh, and there it stopped beside a large rock. The people chopped up the wood of the cart and sacrificed the cows as a burnt offering to the LORD.

11) The cows of Bashan on Mount Samaria, you women who oppress the poor and crush the needy and say to your husbands” is a symbol of Israel?

Amos 4:1

[Israel Has Not Returned to God] Hear this word, you cows of Bashan on Mount Samaria, you women who oppress the poor and crush the needy and say to your husbands, “Bring us some drinks!”

The Cow in the Quran

1) The Story of the cow and the revival of the killed Israelite:

One Israelite was found killed. All the Israelites gathered around Moses asking him to find out who killed the man. Moses asked Allah. Allah commanded the Israelites to slaughter a cow, any cow. The Israelites yelled at Moses: are you fooling! Moses said this is Allah’s command. Then they ask about the cow age, color, marital status and they made it difficult to find out such a cow. Finally they did. Allah commanded Moses to lightly knock the killed man with a part of the slaughtered cow. The killed man woke up and told them who killed him.

This story has some deep theological significance; Allah showed up to the Israelites that

  • The cow is a sign for Allah the Creator,
  • The cow is by no means a god and
  • Allah is able to woke-up the dead.

This is because the Israelites worshiped the cow and the ox and considered the cow a god.

Also, the Israelites deny the afterlife.

In addition, this story is not found in the Bible.

Surah 2: 67-73

67- and when Moses said to his people: surely Allah commands you that you should sacrifice a cow; they said: do you ridicule us? He said: I seek the protection of Allah from being one of the ignorant (fool)!”

68- They said: call on your Lord for our sake to make it plain to us what she (the cow) is. Moses said: he says, surely she is a cow neither advanced in age nor too young, of middle age between that (and this); do therefore what you are commanded

69- They said: call on your lord for our sake to make it plain to us what her color is. Moses said: he says, surely she is a yellow cow; her color is intensely yellow, giving delight to the beholders

70- they said: call on your lord for our sake to make it plain to us what she is, for surely to us the cows are all alike, and if Allah please we shall surely be guided aright

71- Moses said: he says, surely she is a cow not made submissive that she should plough the land, nor does she irrigate the tilth; sound, without a blemish in her. they said: now you have brought the truth; so they sacrificed her, though they had not the mind to do (it)

72- And when you killed a man, then you disagreed with respect to that, and Allah was to bring forth that which you were going to hide

73- so we said: strike the (dead body) with part of the (sacrificed cow), thus Allah brings the dead to life, and he shows you his signs so that you may understand

2) What is forbidden to eat, the male, the female, or the newborn cow?

The idolater Ignorant Arabs before Islam had some diverse religious traditions about the cows.

Some believed that it is eating the male cow (bull) is forbidden

Others believed that eating the female cow is forbidden.

Another Ignorant idolater Arabs believed that eating the first newborn cow is forbidden.

The Quran warns anyone who is saying that; the Quran says:

  • Is this Allah’s commandments or a forged invented lie?
  • Were you witnesses when Allah enjoined you this?

This issue is not found in the Bible.

Surah 6:144

And of camels a pair, and cows a pair cows. Say: has he forbidden the two males or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Or were you witnesses when Allah enjoined you this? Who, then, is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah that he should lead astray men without knowledge? Surely, Allah does not guide the unjust people

3) Joseph interpreted the Egyptian\s King’s dream of the fat cows and the seven lean cows

The Bible says that the lean cows were ugly.

The Quran does not say that.

In order to know the difference between the story of Joseph and Pharaoh in Bible vs. Quran, I recommend you smart reader to read the Story of the Prophet Joseph, the son of the Prophet Jacob it in both books.

Surah 12:43 and 46

43- The king (of Egypt) said: “i do see (in a vision) seven fat kine (cows), whom seven lean ones devour, and seven green ears of corn, and seven (others) withered. o ye chiefs! Expound to me my vision if it be that ye can interpret visions.”

46- The chief cupbearer said “O Joseph! O man of truth! Expound to us (the dream) of seven fat kine (cows) whom seven lean ones devour, and of seven green ears of corn and (seven) others withered: that i may return to the people, and that they may understand.”

————————————————————————————————

Back to the main issue of my series of articles (1-39); this is my question to you smart readers: “Is the Quran quoted from the Bible “?

Professor Dr. Ibrahim Khalil wrote this article

http://www.articlesbase.com/science-articles/the-cow-in-bible-and-quran-128385.html

Angels in Islam (13) are daughters for Allah while sons for Arabs?

The Angels have no sex, they do not marry; they are not like us.

Throughout the history, man was confused about the nature of the Angels.

The scholars and the philosophers have four different belief concerning the nature of Angels and who they are:

  1. The first party believes that they are the sons of God
  2. The second party believes that they are the daughters of God
  3. The third party believes that they are God
  4. The fourth party believes that they are partners of God

The Quran denies and disproves all of the above belief.

In the article Angels in Islam (10) the Quran denies the Bible’s claim that the Angels are the sons of God who married the daughters of the People! (Genesis 6:2)

In the article Angels in Islam (11) the Quran says that neither Jesus nor the Angels who are close and favored, to Allah, would never disdain, scorn or reject haughtily, to be a slave of Allah.

In the article Angels in Islam (12) the Quran says that the Angels are neither males nor females; they are not like us.

Nevertheless, the Arabs before Islam believe that the Angels are female and they are the daughters of Allah and Allah’s descendants are only females!

And such daughters of Allah deserve to be worshipped.

This was the background of why the Arabs before Islam used to worship the Angels, the daughters of Allah as they assumed

Look how the Quran condemns, denies and rejects this err faith.

The Quran tackles the famous custom of the Arabs that is how they look at the females.

The Arabs and the females before Islam.

The Quran says: Are daughters to be for your Lord, while sons are to be for them?

Why the Quran asks this question?

Because the Arabs put down the females. They used to dishonor the females very much. If anyone has got a female baby, he would feel very ashamed and he would bury her alive in the desert

The verses 16:57-59 say:

And they assign to Allah daughters, while they will have what they desire, namely, sons.

To Allah they assign daughters, while to themselves they assign sons.

And when one of them is given the tidings of a girl, that will be born to him, his face becomes darkened, transformed like that of one suddenly struck by grief, and he chokes inwardly, filled with anguish: so how is it that daughters are attributed to Him, exalted be He?

He hides, disappearing, from his people, out of distress at the tidings given to him, fearing mockery, unsure what to do with the newborn: shall he retain it — refrain from killing it — in humiliation, enduring shame and disgrace, or trample into the dust, by burying it alive.

Verily wretched is what they judge, evil is this judgment of theirs, in which they ascribe to their Creator that His are the daughters, who have such a lowly status in their eyes.

In addition to the verses 16:57-59, the Quran mentions this err Arabs’ faith about the Angels in many other verses like the followings:

The verse 16:57-59 (YUSUFALI translation)

57) And they assign daughters for Allah! – Glory be to him! – And for themselves (sons,- the issue) they desire!

58) When news is brought to one of them, of (the birth of) a female (child), his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief!

59) With shame does he hide himself from his people, because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain it on (sufferance and) contempt, or bury it in the dust? Ah! What an evil (choice) they decide on?

The verse 52:39 (YUSUFALI translation)

Or has he (Allah) only daughters and you have sons?

The verse 17:40 (QARIB translation):

What! Has your Lord favored you with sons and taken to himself females from among the angels? Indeed, you utter a monstrous thing!

The verses 43:16-25 (SHAKIR translation)

16) What! Has he taken daughters to himself of what he himself creates and chosen you to have sons?

17) And when one of them is given news of that of which he sets up as a likeness for the beneficent Allah, his face becomes black and he is full of rage

18) What! That which is made in ornaments and which in contention is unable to make plain speech!

19) And they make the angels– them who are the servants of the beneficent Allah– female (divinities). What! Did they witness their creation? Their evidence shall be written down and they shall be questioned

20) And they say: if the beneficent Allah had pleased, we should never have worshipped them. They have no knowledge of this; they only lie

21) Or have we given them a book before it so that they hold fast to it?

22) Nay! They say: we found our fathers on a course, and surely we are guided by their footsteps

23) And thus, we did not send before you any warner (Prophet) in a town, but those who led easy lives in it said: surely we found our fathers on a course, and surely we are followers of their footsteps

24) (The warner) said: what! Even if I bring to you a better guide than that on which you found your fathers? They said: surely we are unbelievers in that with which you are sent

25) So we inflicted retribution on them, then see how the end of the rejecters was

Many people do not know Allah. This series (1-60) is an attempt to help them to know their Creator.

Verses 7:128—130 of the Noble Quran talk about: 1) Moses said unto his people: Seek help in Allah and endure the affliction, and He said also: The land is Allah’s. He gives it for an inheritance to whom He will, 2) The Israelites said to Moses: We suffered hurt before you came to us and since you have come to us, 3) Moses said: Be patient, the sequel Paradise is for those who keep their duty unto Allah , 4) Moses said: Allah will destroy Pharaoh, that He may see how you shall act,  5) Allah straitened Pharaoh’s folk with the dearth of vegetation year after year and 6) Allah seized them with famine that they might take admonition

In the previous articles (55-59)

Pharaoh has every one of the Egyptian sorcerers crucified after cutting their hands and feet.

Then the chiefs of Pharaoh’s people said to Pharaoh:

O King, Will you leave Moses and his people to work corruption in the land, by calling to disobedience against you, and flout you and your gods?

Will you leave Moses and his people to make mischief in the land by changing the religion and worship, and abandon you and the worship of your gods?

It is also said that this means, according to a different reading: and leave worshipping you as a god?

Pharaoh said:

We will slay their sons, their young sons, as we did the first time and spare their grown up women,

We shall slaughter their new-born sons and spare their women, keeping them alive, as we did with them before.  For lo! we are in power over them; we have dominance and supremacy over them, and they did this to them, and so the Children of Israel grieved.  Then what?

———————————–

The meaning of verse 7:128

Moses said unto his people:

Seek help in Allah and endure the affliction. Be patient, their (the Egyptians) persecution. Lo! the land of Egypt is Allah’s.  He bequeaths it, He gives it for an inheritance to whom He will from among His servants. And lo! the sequel Paradise is for those who keep their duty unto Allah; those who ward off disbelief, idolatry and indecencies.  The, praiseworthy, sequel belongs to those who are wary, of Allah.

The meaning of verse 7:129

They (Moses’ people) said:

‘We suffered hurt, we were tormented by the killing of our sons, the use of our women and also by working before you came to us, and since you have come to us with the message.’

Moses said unto them:

it may be that your Lord is going to destroy your adversary, Pharaoh and his council by means of drought and hunger etc.; and make you vicegerents in the earth, make you in the inhabitants of the land of Egypt, that Allah may see how you behave with regard to obeying Him.

In other words, Moses said unto his people: Perhaps your Lord, Allah, will destroy your enemy and make you successors in the land, that He may observe how you shall act in it.

The meaning of verse 7:130

And verily Allah seized Pharaoh’s folk with the years, of drought, and dearth of fruits, so that they might remember, that they might heed the admonition, and become believers.

In other words, Allah straitened Pharaoh’s folk with famine and hunger, year after year and the dearth of vegetation, that they might take admonition.

In Bible vs. Quran, Jesus denied that He is God (11) His prayer

In the Bible, Jesus has prayed to God all night.

In the Quran, Jesus said: Allah has charged me with prayer and charity so long as I remain alive.

On the other hand, the Christians do not know the difference between prayer and supplication.

——————————————

The verse Luke 6:12 says: “And it came to pass in those days that He went out onto a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.” (21st Century King James Version).

Accordingly, this article discusses three points:

(1) Why Jesus (peace be upon Him) has prayed to God?

(2) The Christians do not know the difference between prayer and supplication

(3) How Jesus has prayed to God?

Let us begin with (2) and (3) then you will find the answer of (1)

The Christians do not know the difference between prayer and supplication.

If you ask, call, request, cry, plead or talk to God, it is but supplication not prayer.

In prayer to God, it is required to stand up and to kneel down (go down on your knees) and to rise up again. During these repeated movements, the one who prays has to read some of the Word of God and to glorify and praise God and Supplicate.

Although both the prayer and supplication are two kinds of worshipping God; however, prayer is superior to supplication because prayer includes supplication in it and not the vice versa.

Nevertheless, Christians think that supplication is prayer!

Attempting to make the difference between prayer and supplication clear, let us see how Jesus has prayed.

The Bible’s writers do not give us the details of how Jesus has prayed; however, you can hardly find few scattered words here and there about His prayer.

Jesus used to kneel down and to rise up (and so do the Muslims in their prayers)

Luke 22:41 says: “and (Jesus) kneeled down and prayed”

Luke 22:45 says: “And when He (Jesus) rose up from prayer”

One may ask: Would God pray to God? or would God pray to Himself?

The smart reader knows the answer and also the writers of Worldwide English (New Testament) which say: “About that time Jesus went out of the city on the hill to talk with God. He talked with God all night.”

Here, the editors of Worldwide English version do not say pray to God and replace it by talk and talked with God to avoid saying pray to God; to avoid answering the question: would God pray to God?  In addition, the editors of Worldwide English version do not know the difference between prayer and supplication?

——————————————

(1) Why Jesus (peace be upon Him) has prayed to God?

You will not find the answer in the Bible but you can find it in the Quran in the verse 19:31. In this verse, Allah has charged Jesus to pray and Jesus obeyed and prayed.

N.B. Allah commanded all Prophets from Noah to John the Baptist to pray.

Verse 19:31 in different translations

In Bible vs. Quran, Jesus denied that He is God? (5) His First Miracle

The first miracle ever done by the Lord Jesus, peace be upon Him, is that He talked when he was forty days old. In his unique miracle he said eight great statements. This miracle is mentioned in the Quran while it is not found in the Bible.

————————————————-

The present article discusses the first miracle ever done by the Lord Jesus; He talked when he was forty days old. In His distinctive miracle (that is not mentioned in the Bible) He said eight great statements.

Back to the story of the miraculous birth of the Lord Jesus

Saint Mary pointed to her baby Jesus intimating to them that they must ‘talk to him’.

The Jews (her people) said: How can we talk to one who is in the cradle?

The forty days old baby, the Lord Jesus said to them:

1. Lo! I am the slave of Allah

2. He taught me the Torah and the Gospel

3. He has appointed me a Prophet

4. He has made me a teacher of goodness

5. He has enjoined upon me prayer and alms-giving, He has commanded me to both of these, as long as I remain alive

6. He has made me dutiful towards my mother

7. And He has not made me arrogant, haughty, wretched, or Disobedient to his Lord.

8. And peace, from Allah, be upon me the day I was born, the day I die and the day I shall be raised alive!’

This is the testimonial of the Truth concerning Jesus which the Christians doubt for Some of them said he is God, Some of them said he was the son of God, Some of them claimed he was God’s partner while Some of them (the Unitarians) deny all of the above!

Here, it seems fruitful to remind the smart reader that the Lord Jesus (peace be upon Him) has observed Allah’s orders and he spent all what he had to help the poor needy people and he never ever was a money collector! In addition, He used to pray like the Muslims pray; he used to bow down and prostrate in His pray.

Also, I hope to have time to show you that the Bible says that Jesus is a slave of God but the eminent Biblical writers have forged “my slave” to “my boy or my son”

Now, Read the following verses in four different translations and try to find any “Forged” word, and if any, please let me know

————————————————-

The verses 19:29-34

Verse 29

QARIB:

29) So she pointed to him (Prophet Jesus). But they replied: ‘how can we speak with a baby in the cradle? ‘

30) He (the baby) said: ‘I am the worshiper of Allah. Allah has given me the book and made me a prophet.

31) He made me to be blessed wherever I am, and he has charged me with prayer and charity for as long as I shall live.

32) (He has made me) kind to my mother; he has not made me arrogant, unprosperous.

33) Peace be upon me on the day I was born, and on the day I die; and on the day when I shall be raised up alive. ‘

34) Such was (prophet) Jesus, the son of Mary. a saying of truth, concerning what they doubt.

SHAKIR:

29) But she pointed to him. They said: how should we speak to one who was a child in the cradle?

30) He said: surely I am a servant of Allah; he has given me the book and made me a prophet;

31) And he has made me blessed wherever I may be, and he has enjoined on me prayer and poor-rate so long as I live;

32) And dutiful to my mother, and he has not made me insolent, unblessed;

33) And peace on me on the day I was born, and on the day I die, and on the day I am raised to life

34) Such is Isa, son of Mariam; (this is) the saying of truth about which they dispute

PICKTHAL:

29) Then she pointed to him. They said: how can we talk to one who is in the cradle, a young boy?

30) He spake: lo! I am the slave of Allah. he hath given me the scripture and hath appointed me a prophet,

31) And hath made me blessed wheresoever I may be, and hath enjoined upon me prayer and almsgiving so long as I remain alive,

32) And (hath made me) dutiful toward her who bore me, and hath not made me arrogant, unblest.

33) Peace on me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!

34) Such was Jesus, son of Mary: (this is) a statement of the truth concerning which they doubt.

YUSUFALI:

29) But she pointed to the babe. They said: “how can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?”

30) He said: ” I am indeed a servant of Allah: he hath given me revelation and made me a prophet;

31) “And he hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me prayer and charity as long as I live;

32) “(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;

33) “So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)”!

34) Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.

To be continued.

And Allah is the Witness.

Chapter 6 of the Quran (97) Females Are Not Allowed

See how many times Satan deceived them. First, the claim of Holy and Forbidden cattle, second, the meat of the new born cattle is for males only to eat.  Third, the females are allowed to eat only from the meat of the dead new born cattle. Fourth, they used to eat the dead meat.

——————————————-

In the previous articles, the idolators among the Arabs used to keep on and to perform many nasty sinful custos like:

§  Killing their children and burying their daughters alive.

§  The Holy and Forbidden cattle:

§  The Holy and Forbidden tillage and crops:

§  The Forbidden backs of the camels

§  The Name of Allah is not invoked

Note: The Holy and Forbidden cattle; they believed that those cattle are sacrosanct and forbidden. No one is to eat of them except whom we will

Ayah 6:139 adds some more customs that the idolators among the Arabs used to practice in the pre-Islamic period.

They said:

In respect to their Holy and Forbidden cattle; they said:

‘That which is within the bellies of these forbidden cattle is reserved and permitted for our males and is forbidden to our spouses, that is, the women.

This means that

the males are allowed to eat the meat of that which is within the bellies of these forbidden cattle

The females are not allowed to eat the meat of that which is within the bellies of these forbidden cattle.

This is another kind of sex discrimination.

But, what if that which is within the bellies of these forbidden cattle is born dead or dies consequently after birth?

In this case, both the males and females are partakers thereof eating its meat

See how many times Satan deceived them

§  First, the claim of Holy and Forbidden cattle

§  Second, the meat of the new born cattle is for males only to eat,

§  Third, the females is allowed to eat only from the meat of the dead new born cattle

§  Fourth, they used to eat the meat of dead cattle.

It is well-known that Islam forbids all of these devils’ ideas.

Ayah 6:139 says:

Allah will reward them; this is a threat to them

Allah will assuredly requite them for their describing that as either permitted or forbidden with the appropriate requital thereof.

Surely Allah is the Wise in His actions and commands; He is the Knowing of His creatures.

—————————————————————-

The verse 6:139 in different translations

QARIB:

They also say: ‘what is in the bellies (wombs) of these cattle is reserved for our males but not for our wives. ‘But if it is stillborn, they all partake of it. He will recompense them for their describing. He is wise, knowing.

SHAKIR:

and they say: what is in the wombs of these cattle is specially for our males, and forbidden to our wives, and if it be stillborn, then they were all partners in it; he will reward them for their attributing (falsehood to Allah); surely he is wise, knowing

PICKTHAL:

and they say: that which is in the bellies of such cattle is reserved for our males and is forbidden to our wives; but if it be born dead, then they (all) may be partakers thereof. he will reward them for their attribution (of such ordinances unto him). lo, he is wise, Aware.

YUSUFALI:

They say: “what is in the wombs of such and such cattle is specially reserved (for food) for our men, and forbidden to our women; but if it is still-born, then all have shwere therein. for their (false) attribution (of superstitions to Allah), he will soon punish them: for he is full of wisdom and knowledge.

Chapter 6 of the Quran (96) Satan’s Invented Ideas

Satan has invented some nasty ideas and inspired the iunbelievers Arabs to perform; they are: the Holy and Forbidden cattle, the Holy and Forbidden tillage and crops:, the Forbidden backs of the camels and the Name of Allah is not invoked.

——————————————-

In the previous article, the unbelievers among the jinn would have many varieties of cooperation with the unbelievers among mankind by inspiring wicked men with invented evil ideas in order to keep them on the wrong path that ultimately leads to Eternal fire in the Afterlife e.g.burying their daughters alive.

Ayah 6:138 illustrates some other malicious ideas that the devils jinn invented and inspired the wicked idolators among the Arabs to perform.

These nasty ideas that the idolators among the Arabs used to do and to keep on are:

§  The Holy and Forbidden cattle:

§  The Holy and Forbidden tillage and crops:

§  The Forbidden backs of the camels

§  The Name of Allah is not invoked

The devils jinn inspired these ideas to the idolators among the Arabs and assured them that gods will be pleased if they perform those ideas which are but invented by their big boss, the Satan.

The idolators assert them and had no argument for such sinful ideas.

The Holy and Forbidden cattle:

They said: These cattle are sacrosanct and forbidden. No one is to eat of them except whom we will

The Holy and Forbidden tillage and crops:

They said: this tillage is sacrosanct and forbidden. No one is to eat of them except whom we will.

The Forbidden backs of the camels

They said: the backs of these camels are forbidden and cannot therefore be ridden.

The Name of Allah is not invoked

They had some cattle over which they did not invoke the Name of Allah, when they slaughter them, invoking instead the names of their idols.

Ayah 6:138 says:

They are forging lies against Allah and He will assuredly requite them for what they used to fabricate against Him. Allah will repay them for that which they invent.

—————————————————————-

The verse 6:138 in different translations

QARIB:

They say: ‘these cattle, and these crops were forbidden. None can eat of them except those whom we permit’ so they claim ‘and cattle whose backs were forbidden, and others over which they do not pronounce the name of Allah. ‘as such fabricating lies against him. He will recompense them for their invented lies.

SHAKIR:

and they say: these were cattle and tilth prohibited, none shall eat them except such as we please– so they assert– and cattle whose backs were forbidden, and cattle on which they would not mention Allah’s name– forging a lie against him; he shall requite them for what they forged

PICKTHAL:

And they say: such cattle and crops were forbidden. No-one is to eat of them save whom we will – in their make-believe – cattle whose backs were forbidden, cattle over which they mention not the name of Allah. (all that is) a lie against him. he will repay them for that which they invent.

YUSUFALI:

and they say that such and such cattle and crops were taboo, and none should eat of them except those whom – so they say – we wish; further, there were cattle forbidden to yoke or burden, and cattle on which, (at slaughter), the name of Allah is not pronounced; – inventions against Allah’s name: soon will he requite them for their inventions.
