Atheists in Quran (31) Noah pleads with his Atheist son

Aware of the terrible reality, Noah pleads with him for the last time: O my son! Do not be with the unbelievers lest you drown. His son said: I shall seek refuge in a mountain, which will afford me protection from the waves. In an instant, the gigantic waves swallow everything up, so he was among the drowned by the flood

———————————

The verses 11:40-42 say,

“Embark with us, my child, and do not stay with the unbelievers.”

As a proud arrogant, the Atheist son does not respond to his loving father.

He does not realize the extent of the terrible event that is taking place.

Noah said: O my son! Come ride with us

His son said: I shall take refuge in a mountain that will protect me, from the water’.

Noah said: O my son! Be saved with us

His son said: the mountain that will preserve me, from the flood’.

Noah said: O my son! Do not be with the unbelievers lest you drown

His son said: the mountain will prevent me from drowning, the mountain will afford me protection from the flood.

Aware of the terrible reality, Noah pleads with him for the last time:

“Today there is no protection for anyone from Allah’s judgment, except those who shall enjoy His mercy.”

In an instant, the scene changes and the gigantic waves swallow everything up:

The Huge waves came between them, so he was among the drowned by the flood

Today as we read this story, it is as if we see these events happening now before our very own eyes.

The ark is sailing amid huge waves, Noah, the worried father makes one plea after another; his conceited young son insolently turns his back, and then suddenly a towering wave settles the issue.

Everything is over as if the dialogue did not take place.

The element of fear and worry in this scene is measured by its:

  1. Depth in the human soul, in the conversation between Noah and his son.
  2. Extent in nature, as the waves rise high to submerge the tops of the mountains.

Both elements are equal.

This is a distinctive feature of how the Quran tells us about the ancient people.

——

Then, the storm subsides, an air of calmness spreads, the matter is settled according to Allah’s will.

The verse here gives the impression of something coming to a complete standstill.

“And the word was spoken: ‘Earth, swallow up your waters. Heaven, cease (your rain).’ Thus, the waters sank into the earth, and Allah’s will was done, and the ark came to rest on Mount Judi. The word was spoken: Away with these evil-doing folk.’”

It was said,

‘O earth, swallow your waters, that have sprung forth from you, and the Earth reabsorbed it and

O heaven, abate!’ withhold the rain, and it did.

The waters subsided, the affair was accomplished, the matter of the destruction of Noah’s people was complete and it settled,

The earth swallows up its water and the heaven stops raining.

Furthermore, the earth’s surface was soon dry, as excess waters penetrated deep underground.

Allah addressed the earth and the heavens as if they were human beings.

Both comply with the commandment.

No wonder they did when they are Allah’s obedient creatures.

“Allah’s will was done and the ark came to rest on Mount Judi.”

That was its final stop. “The word was spoken: ‘Away with these evil-doing folk.’”

  • Those who were supposed to be destroyed were destroyed and
  • Those who were supposed to be saved were saved.

It was said:

‘Away with perish the evildoing, disbelieving, folk!’

The Quran does not say who said this statement, but it generates the impression that the whole affair does not in need to be considered again.

Let the evildoers disappear beyond Allah’s mercy for they deserve to be expelled;

Let them be banished from memory, for they do not deserve to be remembered.

———————————

The verses 11:43-44 in different translations:

QARIB:

43- But he replied: ‘i shall seek refuge on a mountain, which will protect me from the water. ‘He (Noah) said: ‘today, there is no defender from the command of Allah, except those to whom he has mercy. ‘And the waves came between them, and he was drowned.

44- And it was said: ‘earth, swallow up your waters. Heaven, cease! ‘The water subsided and the matter was accomplished. And the ark came to rest upon (the mountain of) aljudi, and it was said: ‘be gone, evildoing nation! ‘

SHAKIR:

43- He said: i will betake myself for refuge to a mountain that shall protect me from the water. Nuh said: there is no protector today from Allah’s punishment but he who has mercy; and a wave intervened between them, so he was of the drowned

44- And it was said: o earth, swallow down your water, and o cloud, clear away; and the water was made to abate and the affair was decided, and the ark rested on the judi, and it was said: away with the unjust people

PICKTHAL:

43- He said: i shall betake me to some mountain that will save me from the water. (Noah) said: this day there is none that saveth from the commandment of Allah save him on whom he hath had mercy. And the wave came in between them, so he was among the drowned.

44- And it was said: o earth! swallow thy water and, o sky! be cleared of clouds! and the water was made to subside. And the commandment was fulfilled. And it (the ship) came to rest upon (the mount) al-judi and it was said: a far removal for wrongdoing folk!

YUSUFALI:

43- The son replied: “i will betake myself to some mountain: it will save me from the water.” Noah said: “this day nothing can save, from the command of Allah, any but those on whom he hath mercy! “And the waves came between them, and the son was among those overwhelmed in the flood.

44- Then the word went forth: “o earth! Swallow up thy water, and o sky! Withhold (thy rain)!” and the water abated, and the matter was ended. The ark rested on mount Judi, and the word went forth: “away with those who do wrong!”

Atheists in Quran (24) they said: Noah is maniac

Do the Atheists know? 1) Who is the first ever professor of how to build a ship? The great Angel Gabriel, 2) who is the first ever shipbuilder among humankind? The great Prophet Noah and 3) what is the flood? It is = Allah’s Will cleared the road of obstacles so that human life could continue its march along the road assigned to it. However, the Atheists who are not aware of that said: Noah is maniac.

———————————

In the first article of this series [Atheists in Quran (1) Noah and the Atheists] we have seen that,

Allah sent Noah to his people to tell them:

  • My people, you have no other god save Allah
  • My people, profess Allah’s divine Oneness, and worship and obey him.
  • Will you not then fear His punishment in worshipping gods other than Him?

However, the chieftains Atheists among his folk, said to their followers:

We never heard of such, an affirmation of God’s Oneness as that which Noah summons us, among our ancestors or among past communities.

Then what happened?

The verses 23: 23:25-27 say:

The chieftains Atheists among Noah’s folk, said to their followers:

Noah is just a man possessed by madness, a case of dementia.

So wait and bear with him for a while until he dies.

The Atheists are incapable of understanding that they are imprisoned within their narrow walls, unable to break into the wide universe! They accuse those who advocate freedom of thought of being mad, calling on them to think and reflect.

When they are reminded of the pointers to the truth all around them, their reply is full of arrogance, reiterating accusations: “He is but a madman; so bear with him for a while.”

Bear with him until he dies when we will be relieved of him, his message and his persistent advocacy of faith.

At this moment, Noah could not find any way by which he could soften such stonehearted people. He could only protect himself against their ridicule by putting his complaint to God and seeking His support

In his supplication to Allah, Noah, said,

‘O My Lord, my people denied me and called me a liar, so please help me against them. Help me through sending a punishment upon them’

Allah, exalted be He, says, responding to his supplication:

Then We inspired in him, We sent Gabriel to him saying:

Make the ship, start building a ship Our gaze and through that which We inspired you.

Build the Ark, the ship, under Our watch, under Our observation and protection, and by Our revelation, Our command

Then, when Our command and Our punishment comes and the water gushes out of the oven introduce therein and transport in the ship two spouses of every kind: a male and a female

When the oven, of the baker, gushes, with water — and this was Noah’s sign— bring into it, admit into the ship, of every kind [of animal] two mates, a male and a female and

Take those of your household who believe in you save him thereof against whom the Word that he will be punished has already gone forth.

It is said that all those who were on the ship numbered eighty, half of them were men and half were women.

Moreover, do not plead with Me (by means of supplications) on behalf of those who have done wrong

This means do not plead with Allah to save those who disbelieved among your people

Lo! The unbelievers will be drowned in the flood.

It was Allah’s Will that the road should be cleared of obstacles so that human life could continue its march along the road assigned to it.

Nevertheless, what about the command of “do not plead with Allah to save those who disbelieved among your people?”

See the next article.

———————————

The verses 23:25-27 in different translations:

QARIB:

25- He is nothing else except a man who is mad, so watch him for awhile.

26- He (Noah) said: ‘Lord, help me, for they belie me. ‘

27- We said to him: ‘make the ark under our eye, and our revelation, and then when our command comes and the oven gushes water, take onboard a pair from every kind and your family, except him against whom the decision has already been passed. do not address me concerning those who have done evil; they shall be drowned.

SHAKIR:

25- He is only a madman, so bear with him for a time

26- He said: o my Lord! Help me against their calling me a liar

27- So we revealed to him, saying: make the ark before our eyes and (according to) our revelation; and when our command is given and the valley overflows, take into it of every kind a pair, two, and your followers, except those among them against whom the word has gone forth, and do not speak to me in respect of those who are unjust; surely they shall be drowned

PICKTHAL:

25- He is only a man in whom is a madness, so watch him for a while.

26- He said: my Lord! Help me because they deny me.

27- Then we inspired in him, saying: make the ship under our eyes and our inspiration. then, when our command cometh and the oven gusheth water, introduce therein of every (kind) two spouses, and thy household save him thereof against whom the word hath already gone forth. and plead not with me on behalf of those who have done wrong. lo! they will be drowned.

YUSUFALI:

25- (And some said): “he is only a man possessed: wait (and have patience) with him for a time.”

26- (Noah) said: “o my Lord! Help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood!”

27- So we inspired him (with this message): “construct the ark within our sight and under our guidance: then when comes our command, and the fountains of the earth gush forth, take thou on board pairs of every species, male and female, and thy family- except those of them against whom the word has already gone forth: and address me not in favour of the wrong-doers; for they shall be drowned (in the flood).

Atheists in Quran (8) they contend with falsehood

Throughout the History, the Atheists disputed their messengers with falsehood; their aim was to invalidate the truth of Allah’ scriptures and message.

———————————

The meanings of the verse 18:56:

Allah sent a messenger (and/or prophet) to every nation.

Allah sent his messengers with one message; it is believe in Allah, the One, the Almighty Creator, the Merciful, the Forgiving, He has no partner, no similar, no son etc.

Allah’s messengers were bearers and warners

  • They were bearers of good tidings (Paradise) to believers
  • They were warners against Eternal hell for the disbelievers

All the messengers and the prophets were belied by most of their people, folks, tribes and nations.

The Atheists among the people of the messengers belied them and disbelieved in them.

The Atheists who disbelieved disputed with falsehood.

The Atheists gave many false reasons to justify their disbelief

They say for example:

  • Has God sent a human as a messenger?
  • God has to send an Angel not a human
  • We have never heard about that from our ancients
  • Why God choose this man specifically?
  • We want to see God and talk to him
  • Etc. of their foolish and ignorant falsehood

When they say that and the like of such statements, that they may refute thereby, that by way of their disputing they may invalidate the truth of Allah’ scriptures.

Throughout the History, the Atheists disputed their messengers with falsehood, their aim was to invalidate the truth of Allah’ scriptures and message.

This happened to all the messengers like for example Noah, Hud, Salih, Abraham, Lot, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, Elias, Jonah, Zachariah, John, Jesus and Prophet Muhammad

Sometimes, the Atheists knew some verses of the Quran and they take them in mockery

They have taken in mockery the verses of the Quran that whereof they have been warned, in the way of the Eternal Hell.

They take Allah’s revelations, messengers, and that wherewith they are threatened of chastisement as a jest and mockery.

———————————

The verse 18:56 in different translations:

QARIB:

We send our messengers only to proclaim glad tidings and to give warning. but the unbelievers dispute with false arguments so that they may belie the truth. they have taken my verses and warnings in mockery.

SHAKIR:

And we do not send messengers but as givers of good news and warning, and those who disbelieve make a false contention that they may render null thereby the truth, and they take my communications and that with which they are warned for a mockery

PICKTHAL:

We send not the messengers save as bearers of good news and warners. Those who disbelieve contend with falsehood in order to refute the truth thereby. And they take our revelations and that wherewith they are threatened as a jest.

YUSUFALI:

We only send the messengers to give glad tidings and to give warnings: but the unbelievers dispute with vain argument, in order therewith to weaken the truth, and they treat my signs as a jest, as also the fact that they are warned!

Atheists in Quran (1) Noah and the Atheists

The history of Atheists is deep-rooted ever since the time of the Prophet Noah.

Chapter 23 of the Noble Quran discloses the story of the great Prophet Noah and the Atheists.

The meanings of the verses 23:23-24:

Verily Allah sent Noah to his people to tell them:

  • My people, worship God, obey God and profess Allah’s divine Oneness.
  • You have no other god besides Him
  • You have no other god save the One in whom I command you to believe
  • Will you not then fear Him?
  • Will you not then fear His punishment in worshipping gods other than Him?
  • Will you not ward off evil the worship of other than Allah?

However, the chieftains Atheists among his folk, said to their followers:

  • Noah would like to make himself superior to you by claiming his message and prophet hood
  • Noah is only a mortal, a human being like you.
  • This is just a human being like you who desires to gain superiority, to have the honor, over you, by acquiring followers, you being his followers
  • And had God willed, that none other than Him be worshipped,

He surely would have sent down angels, with that Message, and not assigned a human being for it.

  • We have not heard that which Noah is saying in the time of our fathers of old.
  • We never heard of such, an affirmation of God’s Oneness as that which Noah summons us, among our ancestors or among past communities.

To be continued.

———————————

The verses 23:23-24 in different translations:

QARIB:

23-We sent Noah to his nation. ‘Worship Allah, my nation, ‘ he said, ‘for you have no god except He. Will you not be cautious? ‘

24-The unbelieving assembly of his nation said: ‘this is but a human like you, who desires to gain superiority over you. had Allah willed, he could have sent down angels. we never heard of this among our ancient forefathers.

SHAKIR:

23-And certainly we sent nuh to his people, and he said: o my people! Serve Allah, you have no god other than him; will you not then guard (against evil)?

24-And the chiefs of those who disbelieved from among his people said: he is nothing but a mortal like yourselves who desires that he may have superiority over you, and if Allah had pleased, he could certainly have sent down angels. we have not heard of this among our fathers of yore:

PICKTHAL:

23-And we verily sent Noah unto his folk, and he said: o my people! Serve Allah. Ye have no other Allah save him. Will ye not ward off (evil)?

24-But the chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved, said: this is only a mortal like you who would make himself superior to you. Had Allah willed, he surely could have sent down angels. we heard not of this in the case of our fathers of old.

YUSUFALI:

23- (Further, we sent a long line of prophets for your instruction). We sent Noah to his people: he said, “o my people! Worship Allah! ye have no other god but him. Will ye not fear (him)?”

24-The chiefs of the unbelievers among his people said: “he is no more than a man like yourselves: his wish is to assert his superiority over you: if Allah had wished (to send messengers), he could have sent down angels; never did we hear such a thing (as he says), among our ancestors of old.”

This is Allah (61) whatever befalls you Is from Allah

This article talks about the following points:

1) The Five Successive Signs That Allah Has Sent To Pharaoh

Allah has unleashed upon Pharaoh and his folk five successive clear signs; they were the flood, the locusts, the vermin, the frogs and the blood. They were in order and took one month interval.

2) What Pharaoh and his Folk Said When Abundance and Comfort Befell Them?

Whenever a good thing such as land fertility abundance and comfort, befell Pharaoh and his folk, they said, This is our right! This belongs to us, that is, we deserve it, and they did not give thanks for it.

3) What Pharaoh and his Folk Said when an Evil Thing Smote Them?

whenever an evil thing such as drought, lack of fruits or hardship smote Pharaoh and his folk, they ascribed it to the evil auspices of Moses and those, believers, with him.

4) Pharaoh Said to Moses: Whatever Sign you Bring Us, We Will not Believe in You

Pharaoh and his folk said to Moses:

Whatever sign you bring us, to cast a spell upon us therewith, we will not believe in you’, and so Moses invoked Allah against them.

5) Whatever Befalls You Is From Allah

The hardship and abundance is from Allah; but most of the people do not know, that whatever befalls them is from Allah.

6) When Moses Invoked Allah Against Pharaoh and His Folk?

Pharaoh and his folk said to Moses: O Moses, whenever and whatever sign you bring wherewith to bewitch us, to dazzle our eyes with, we shall not put faith in you, we shall not believe in the message. And so he Moses invoked Allah against them.

7) How Does the Quran Used the Arabic Word al-Qummal?

The Arabic “al-Qummal” is the plural form of many of the English words e.g. lice, woodworms, ticks, or the vermin) ; Allah has inflicted Pharaoh and his folk with al-Qummal that are  crawling creatures without wings-which devoured whatever the locusts left behind.

8) Allah Inflicted Upon the Egyptians Flood, Locusts and Vermin but …

Allah unleashed upon the Egyptians (Pharaoh and his folk)

continuous, uninterrupted flood, then the locusts, which ate everything that the earth produced: vegetation and fruits; and then the vermin which devoured whatever the locusts left behind. But they were too scornful to believe in such clear signs.

9) Allah Inflicted on Pharaoh and His Folk Frogs and Blood But …

Allah inflicted on the Egyptians (Pharaoh and his folk)

frogs, so much so that they harmed them, such that they infested their houses and food supplies; after which Allah inflicted on them blood such that their wells and rivers filled with blood.  However, they were a sinful folk and did not believe.

Many people do not know Allah. This series (1-64) is an attempt to help them to know their Creator.

In the previous article (60) the verses 7:128—130 of the Noble Quran talk about:

1) Moses said unto his people: Seek help in Allah and endure the affliction, and He said also: The land is Allah’s. He gives it for an inheritance to whom He will,

2) The Israelites said to Moses: We suffered hurt before you came to us and since you have come to us,

3) Moses said: Be patient, the sequel Paradise is for those who keep their duty unto Allah ,

4) Moses said: Allah will destroy Pharaoh, that He may see how you shall act,

5) Allah straitened Pharaoh’s folk with the dearth of vegetation year after year and

6) Allah seized them with famine that they might take admonition.  Then what?

In this article, the verses 7:131-133 of the Noble Quran talk about:

1) The five successive signs that Allah has sent to Pharaoh,

2) What Pharaoh and his folk said when abundance and comfort befell them?

3) What Pharaoh and his folk said when an evil thing smote them?

4) Pharaoh said to Moses: Whatever sign you bring us, we will not believe in you,

5) When Moses invoked Allah against Pharaoh and his folk? And

6) Allah inflicted upon the Egyptians a flood, locusts, vermin, frogs and blood but they refused to believe.

——————————————————

The meaning of verse 7:131

But whenever a good thing, such as land fertility abundance and comfort, befell them (Pharaoh and his folk), they said, This is ours, this is our right! This belongs to us, that is, we deserve it, and they did not give thanks for it; and whenever an evil thing, [such as] drought, lack of fruits or hardship, smote them, they ascribed it to the evil auspices of Moses and those with him; they would augur ill of Moses and those, believers, with him.

Allah said: Surely their evil auspice, their hardship and abundance was only with Allah i.e. from Allah.

Surely their ill augury is with Allah, Who brings it upon them, but most of them do not know, that whatever befalls them is from Allah.

The meaning of verse 7:132

And Pharaoh and his folk said to Moses:

Whatever sign you bring us, to cast a spell upon us therewith, we will not believe in you;

And so he Moses invoked Allah against them.

In other words, they said:

O Moses, whenever and whatever sign you bring wherewith to bewitch us, to dazzle our eyes with, we shall not put faith in you, we shall not believe in the message.  And so Moses prayed against them.

The meaning of verse 7:133

So Allah unleashed upon them (Pharaoh and his folk) the flood, continuous, uninterrupted rain: day and night, from Saturday to Saturday, which penetrated their houses and which for seven days would come up to people’s necks as they sat;

And Allah inflicted upon them (Pharaoh and his folk) the locusts, which consumed their crops and fruits, likewise; they were engulfing them for seven days, and ate everything that the earth produced: vegetation and fruits;

and Allah also inflicted them with the vermin (in Arabic, the word is al-Qummal which is the plural of the English word lice, woodworm, tick, or the vermin) ; this means that Allah also inflicted them with crawling creatures without wings-which devoured whatever the locusts left behind uneaten.

and Allah also imposed them with the frogs, so much so that they harmed them, such that they infested their houses and food supplies;

After which Allah inflicted on them blood such that their wells and rivers filled with blood.

A succession of different clear signs of one month interval.

But they were too scornful, to believe in such clear signs; they were arrogant and refused to believe and became guilty; and were a sinful folk.

——————————————————

Verses 7:131-133 in different English translations of the meanings of Arabic Quran:

QARIB:

131) When good things came their way, they said: ‘it is our due, ‘ but when evil befell them they blamed their ill fortune on Moses and those with him. Indeed their ill fortune was with Allah, though most of them did not know.

132) They said: ‘whatever sign you bring to us, to cast a spell upon us, we will not believe in you. ‘

133) So we sent upon them floods, locusts, lice, frogs, and blood. (all these were) clear signs, yet they were proud against them, for they were wicked people.

SHAKIR:

131) But when good befell them they said: this is due to us; and when evil afflicted them, they attributed it to the ill-luck of Musa and those with him; surely their evil fortune is only from Allah but most of them do not know

132) And they said: whatever sign you may bring to us to charm us with it– we will not believe in you

133) Therefore we sent upon them widespread death, and the locusts and the lice and the frog and the blood, clear signs; but they behaved haughtily and they were a guilty people

PICKTHAL:

131) But whenever good befell them, they said: this is ours; and whenever evil smote them they ascribed it to the evil auspices of Moses and those with him. surely their evil auspice was only with Allah. but most of them knew not.

132) And they said: whatever portent thou bringest wherewith to bewitch us, we shall not put faith in thee.

133) So we sent against them the flood and the locusts and the vermin and the frogs and the blood – a succession of clear signs. but they were arrogant and became a guilty folk.

YUSUFALI:

131) But when good (times) came, they said, “this is due to us;” when gripped by calamity, they ascribed it to evil omens connected with Moses and those with him! behold! in truth the omens of evil are theirs in Allah’s sight, but most of them do not understand!

132) They said (to Moses): “whatever be the signs thou bringest, to work therewith thy sorcery on us, we shall never believe in thee.

133) So we sent (plagues) on them: wholesale death, locusts, lice, frogs, and blood: signs openly self-explained: but they were steeped in arrogance,- a people given to sin.

5) Moses Said unto his People: Allah Will Destroy Your Enemy that He May See How You Shall Act

Moses said unto the Israelites:

it may be that your Lord is going to destroy your adversary, Pharaoh and his council, that Allah may see how you behave with regard to obeying Him.

6) Allah Straitened Pharaoh’s Folk with the Dearth of Vegetation Year after Year

Allah straitened Pharaoh’s folk with drought and the dearth of vegetation, that they might take admonition, and become believers.

7) Allah Seized Pharaoh’s Folk with Famine that they Might Take Admonition

Allah seized Pharaoh’s folk with the years, of famine so that they might remember, that they might heed the admonition, and become believers.

In the previous articles (55-59)

Pharaoh has every one of the Egyptian sorcerers crucified after cutting their hands and feet.

Then the chiefs of Pharaoh’s people said to Pharaoh:

O King, Will you leave Moses and his people to work corruption in the land, by calling to disobedience against you, and flout you and your gods?

Will you leave Moses and his people to make mischief in the land by changing the religion and worship, and abandon you and the worship of your gods?

It is also said that this means, according to a different reading: and leave worshipping you as a god?

Pharaoh said:

We will slay their sons, their young sons, as we did the first time and spare their grown up women,

We shall slaughter their new-born sons and spare their women, keeping them alive, as we did with them before.  For lo! we are in power over them; we have dominance and supremacy over them, and they did this to them, and so the Children of Israel grieved.  Then what?

———————————–

The meaning of verse 7:128

Moses said unto his people:

Seek help in Allah and endure the affliction. Be patient, their (the Egyptians) persecution. Lo! the land of Egypt is Allah’s.  He bequeaths it, He gives it for an inheritance to whom He will from among His servants. And lo! the sequel Paradise is for those who keep their duty unto Allah; those who ward off disbelief, idolatry and indecencies.  The, praiseworthy, sequel belongs to those who are wary, of Allah.

The meaning of verse 7:129

They (Moses’ people) said:

‘We suffered hurt, we were tormented by the killing of our sons, the use of our women and also by working before you came to us, and since you have come to us with the message.’

Moses said unto them:

it may be that your Lord is going to destroy your adversary, Pharaoh and his council by means of drought and hunger etc.; and make you vicegerents in the earth, make you in the inhabitants of the land of Egypt, that Allah may see how you behave with regard to obeying Him.

In other words, Moses said unto his people: Perhaps your Lord, Allah, will destroy your enemy and make you successors in the land, that He may observe how you shall act in it.

The meaning of verse 7:130

And verily Allah seized Pharaoh’s folk with the years, of drought, and dearth of fruits, so that they might remember, that they might heed the admonition, and become believers.

In other words, Allah straitened Pharaoh’s folk with famine and hunger, year after year and the dearth of vegetation, that they might take admonition.

Verses 7:128–130 in different English translations of the meanings of Arabic Quran:

QARIB:

128) Moses said to his nation: ‘seek help from Allah and be patient. the earth belongs to Allah; he gives it as a heritage to whom he chooses amongst his worshipers. the outcome is for the cautious. ‘

129) They replied: ‘we were hurt before you came to us, and after you came to us. ‘ he said: ‘your Lord may destroy your enemies and make you inheritors in the land. then he will see how you conduct yourselves. ‘

This is Allah (44) Allah Sent Lot to his People Saying: Stop homosexuality

Allah’s Law: the Behinds of Both Men and Women is Prohibited

Have you ever Known or Seen a Homosexual Dog, Cat, Donkey etc?

Are there Other Creatures in Other Planets that Have Sexual Activity Like Man?

Historically, Lot’s Folk was the First Among all of the Creatures Committing Homosexuality

Lot Said: Stop Homosexuality and they Said: Expel this Pure Man from Our City

——————————————-

Many people do not know Allah.

This series is an attempt to help them in order to know and acknowledge their Creator.

Verses 7:80-84 of the Noble Quran talk about:

1) Allah sent Lot to his people saying: stop homosexuality,

2) Allah’s Law: the behinds of both men and women is prohibited,

3) historically, Lot’s folk was the first among all of the creatures committing homosexuality and

4) Are there other creatures in other planets that have sexual activity like man?

——————————————-

The meaning of verse 7:80

The verse mentions Lot and says: Allah sent Lot to his people; and He said to them people, Do you commit abomination, that is penetrating the rears of men, i.e. the homosexuality, such as no creature ever did this act before you?  In other words, such as no one in all the worlds ever committed before you, humans or jinn or any other creature?

This verse indicates that there are other creatures in the worlds which have sexual activity like man. These might include Jinn and other creatures in other planets that we have no idea about them.  Nevertheless, historically, Lot’s folk was the first among all of those creatures committing homosexuality.

Also, as far as I know, there is no homosexuality among the animals like dogs, cats etc.  Have you ever known or seen a homosexual dog, cat etc?

Subsequently, what about the marvel man?

The meaning of verse 7:81

indeed you come lustfully to men’s behinds instead of women?

Nay, you are a wanton folk, transgressing the bounds, going from what is lawful to what is unlawful. In other words, you transgress from the lawful to that which is prohibited.

The meaning of verse 7:82

And the answer of his people was only that they said mockingly:

“Expel Lot and his followers, from our city, Turn them out

Surely Lot and his followers are folk who would be pure!’, They are folk, forsooth, who keep pure, who avoid the behinds of men and women.”

The meaning of verse 7:83

So Allah delivered, rescued, saved Lot and his family, except his wife: she was of those who stayed behind, who remained in the chastisement and was therefore destroyed.

The meaning of verse 7:84

And Allah rained a rain upon them. Allah sent down upon them, the homosexuals, stones from heaven and destroyed them.

Consider O Muhammad the nature of the consequence for evil-doers! the end result of the idolaters is destruction. So behold what was the end of the sinners!

Verses 7:80-84 in different English translations of the meanings of Arabic Quran:

QARIB:

80) And lot, who said to his nation: ‘do you commit such indecency (sodomy) in a way that no one has preceded you in the worlds?

81) You approach men lustfully instead of women. truly, you are a nation who exceed (in sin). ‘

82) The only answer of his nation was: ‘expel them from your village. they are people who keep themselves purified. ‘

83) We saved him and all his family, except his wife, who was made to remain,

84) And we rained down upon them a rain. so look how was the end of the evildoers.

SHAKIR:

80) And (we sent) lut when he said to his people: what! do you commit an indecency which any one in the world has not done before you?

81) Most surely you come to males in lust besides females; nay you are an extravagant people

82) And the answer of his people was no other than that they said: turn them out of your town, surely they are a people who seek to purify (themselves)

83) So we delivered him and his followers, except his wife; she was of those who remained behind

84) And we rained upon them a rain; consider then what was the end of the guilty

PICKTHAL:

80) And lot! (remember) when he said unto his folk: will ye commit abomination such as no creature ever did before you?

81) Lo! ye come with lust unto men instead of women. nay, but ye are wanton folk.

82) And the answer of his people was only that they said (one to another): turn them out of your township. they are folk, forsooth, who keep pure.

83) And we rescued him and his household, save his wife, who was of those who stayed behind.

84) And we rained a rain upon them. see now the nature of the consequence of evil-doers!

YUSUFALI:

80) We also (sent) lut: he said to his people: “do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you?

81) “For ye practise your lusts on men in preference to women : ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds.”

82) And his people gave no answer but this: they said, “drive them out of your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!”

83) But we saved him and his family, except his wife: she was of those who legged behind.

84) And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): then see what was the end of those who indulged in sin and crime!

The meaning of verse 7:63

Do you then, deny, marvel that a prophet, a reminder, an admonition, from your Lord by means of a man among you, a human being like you, should come to you through, the tongue of, a man from among you,

and that you may keep from evil, and that you obey Allah and ward off worship of other than Him,

that he, the prophet, may warn you, of chastisement if you do not believe, and that you may fear, Allah, and that haply you may find mercy and not be tormented.

The meaning of verse 7:64

But they denied him, and so Allah delivered him and those with him, from drowning, in the Ark, in the ship, and Allah drowned those who denied His signs, by means of the Flood. Truly they were blind to the guidance and to the truth.  Truly they were disbelievers in Allah.

63- Do you wonder that a remembrance should come to you from your lord to a man from yourselves in order that he may warn you and that you may be cautious so that mercy comes upon you? ‘

64- (But) they belied him, so we saved him and those who were with him in the ark, and we drowned those who belied our verses. surely, they were a blind nation.

SHAKIR:

62- I deliver to you the messages of my lord, and i offer you good advice and i know from Allah what you do not know

63- What! do you wonder that a reminder has come to you from your lord through a man from among you, that he might warn you and that you might guard (against evil) and so that mercy may be shown to you?

64- But they denied him, so we saved him and those with him in the ship, and we drowned those who denied our tokens. lo! they were blind folk.

YUSUFALI:

62- “I but fulfil towards you the duties of my lord’s mission: sincere is my advice to you, and i know from Allah something that ye know not.

63- “Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your lord, through a man of your own people, to warn you,- so that ye may fear Allah and haply receive his mercy?”

64- But they rejected him, and we delivered him, and those with him, in the ark: but we overwhelmed in the flood those who rejected our signs. they were indeed a blind people!

This is Allah (35) Does Allah Charge Any Soul Beyond its Scope?

The Outcome of those who Believe in Muhammad and Perform Righteous Deeds

The Believers shall Abide in the Paradise Forever Never to Die or be Removed

Who are the Rightful owners of the Paradise?

What if the Believers who Abide in the Paradise have had Rancor between them in the Life of this World?

What the Believers will say once they Have Settled in the Paradise?

Many people do not know Allah. This series is an attempt to help them in order to know and acknowledge their Creator.

Verses 7:42-43 of the Noble Quran talk about:

1) Does Allah Charge any Soul Beyond its Scope?

2) The Outcome of those who Believe in Muhammad and Perform Righteous Deeds,

3) The Believers shall Abide in the Paradise Forever Never to Die or be Removed,

4) Who are the Rightful owners of the Paradise?

5) What if the Believers who Abide in the Paradise have had Rancor between them in the life of this world? And

6) What the Believers will say once they Have Settled in the Paradise?

In the previous article, the outcome of the disbelievers shall be the Eternal Fire,  Theirs will be a bed of hell, a bed of fire, and over them coverings of hell, of fire. Thus does Allah requite wrong-doers, the evildoers.  Now the question is: Have the disbelievers disbelieved because Allah has charged their soul beyond its scope its capacity for action?  The following verse answers this question:

The meaning of verse 7:42

Concerning the faith and deeds; Allah does not charge any soul beyond its scope, its capacity for action, Allah does not tax any soul in its effort beyond its capability; Allah never charge a soul with more than it can bear; in other words, Allah does not burden or place on any soul, but that which it can bear.

And for those who believe in Muhammad, and the Quran and perform righteous deeds and do good works

those are the inhabitants of Paradise, abiding therein

They, i.e. the believers, are rightful owners of the Garden, the folk of Paradise. They abide therein forever never to die or be removed.

The meaning of verse 7:43

What if the believers who shall abide in the Paradise have had between them, in the life of this world, rancor, resentment, bitterness etc.?

Allah shall strip away all rancor, resentment, bitterness etc. Allah shall strip away all spite that existed between them in the world, that is in their breasts;

and wherein they shall abide in the Paradise, beneath their palaces, the rivers flow;

and they will say, once they have settled in their dwellings: ‘Praise be to Allah, Who guided us to this, action, the reward of which is this Paradise; for we would surely never have been guided if Allah had not guided us.

Verily the messengers of our Lord did bring the truth.’

And it is cried to them: ‘This is your Paradise; you have inherited it for what you used to do’.

It is also said that the verse means that Allah will remove whatever rancor, resentful envy or enmity may be in their hearts in the life of this world. Rivers of wine, water, honey and milk flow beneath them beneath their habitations and beds in the Hereafter. And they say when they reach their habitations; and it is said: when they reach the source of life: The praise to Allah gratitude and benevolence are Allah’s, Who has guided us to this habitation and source. We could not truly have been led aright if Allah had not guided us to it;

it is also said that when they see Allah’s favor when He bestowed faith upon them, they said: praise and thanks are due to Allah Who has guided us to the religion of Islam, and we would not have been guided to the religion of Islam had not Allah guided us to it.

Then they will say: ‘Verily the messengers of our Lord did bring the Truth, they brought truth, glad tiding, reward and favor.

And it is cried unto them (the Angels will say unto them): This is the Garden, This is the Paradise. You inherit it, you were given it for what you used to do and say of good things in the life of this world.

It would be fruitful to compare between the believers and the disbelievers as regards their circumstances and outcome.

What each of the two party shall say in the afterlife?

What each of the two party shall have in the afterlife?

What Allah shall say unto each of the two party?

What the Angels shall say unto each of the two party?

The interested reader could find out the answer of these question when comparing the present article with the articles 33 through 37.

Verses 7:42-43in different English translations of the meanings of Arabic Quran:

QARIB:

42) As for those who believe and do good works we never charge a soul with more than it can bear they are the companions of paradise, and there they shall live for ever.

43) We shall strip away all rancor from their chests. rivers shall flow underneath them, and they shall say: ‘praise be to Allah who has guided us to this. had Allah not given us guidance we should not have been guided. the messengers of our lord surely came with the truth. ‘ then they are called: ‘this is the paradise which you have inherited for what you did. ‘

SHAKIR:

42) And (as for) those who believe and do good we do not impose on any soul a duty except to the extent of its ability– they are the dwellers of the garden; in it they shall abide

43) And we will remove whatever of ill-feeling is in their breasts; the rivers shall flow beneath them and they shall say: all praise is due to Allah who guided us to this, and we would not have found the way had it not been that Allah had guided us; certainly the messengers of our lord brought the truth; and it shall be cried out to them that this is the garden of which you are made heirs for what you did

PICKTHAL:

42) But (as for) those who believe and do good works – we tax not any soul beyond its scope – such are rightful owners of the garden. they abide therein.

YUSUFALI:

42) But those who believe and work righteousness,- no burden do we place on any soul, but that which it can bear,- they will be companions of the garden, therein to dwell (forever).

43) And we shall remove from their hearts any lurking sense of injury;- beneath them will be rivers flowing;- and they shall say: “praise be to Allah, who hath guided us to this (felicity): never could we have found guidance, had it not been for the guidance of Allah: indeed it was the truth, that the messengers of our lord brought unto us.” and they shall hear the cry: “behold! the garden before you! ye have been made its inheritors, for your deeds (of righteousness).”
